I agree, they probably won't get another civilian. Unless it's someone from the IOA. B/c the IOA is stupid. >:(

Or...here's the twist...they get an OLD character (i.e. John) to be the commander (b/c he was on the short list), and then actually put the NEW one on John's team (i.e. Capt. Porter). B/c they did say that Porter shows up to talk to Sam about not having any specific position. Mentioning that...this actually seems pretty probable. Although I like John w/ the team; a new team leader would be weird O_o I just don't see him in that "leader of an expedition" position. It's just...un-Sheppardish. LOL

btw, I won't be on here for 4 days b/c I'm going on a senior retreat w/ a group from my school tomorrow and I won't be back until Fri evening. Anyhoo, disregarding all that, I had an AMAZING retreat. I mean, absolutely AMAZING. I cannot even begin to describe in words what it was like. To be totally cliche, it was like feeling connected to everybody in the whole world...and learning so much about people you've gone to school w/ and never even knew that well. It was so awesome. I can't put into words what it was like. It's going to be so weird going back to school...the whole experience was just so surreal.

no it wont. but good point on sg1, i still thought it was fine! i fear this may cause a loss of ratings though, and as much as it would teach the idiotic PTB a thing or two, it could very well hurt it...i dont know i think no mater what im watching.

but i know! no torri!! s6? yeah...we should just skip season 5.

Thats really cool to have felt connected like that :) thats why i like being in a small school than the larger one im at now.

AWWW Rodney is so cute getting all excited over the baby ^_^

And aww...Teyla named him Torin (sp??) John. And the last Rodney/Sam scene was so cute, if too short. They really are such good *friends* now. AWW. Love how Rodney thinks she's coming back and now she's not...:_( And she mutters "I hope so" after he says "see you soon" *bursts out crying* NOOO!! They've killed yet another ship! :(

But...OMGZ I HATE WOOLSEY!!!!!!!! Poor Sam! :( The IOA freaking SUCKS!!! (and yes, I know why Amanda left, but STILL. The IOA sucks.)

And the Sheyla, at least, was forgivable. I think John more wanted to save her b/c he felt it was his duty...I loved the part w/ Ford at the beginning (I'm preferring to forget what happened before that ^_^). Although they could've mentioned him feeling guilty for not being able to save Liz too. I mean, they remember Ford finally and forget her?

But all in all, I think the ep was kinda badly written and way too rushed. Captain Vega's identity was never explained, Sam left too suddenly, Michael just randomly blew up (or DID he??) too quickly, wtf happened to Kenaan, and everything was all happy-happy way too suddenly (except for the last part--but that was completely random too).

The best part was baby's birth scene, though. Rodney & Teyla were awesome...and it was SOOO CUTE. If only we could see him doing that w/ his own kid and...well, I think you'll guess the mother. ^_^ It's babyfic time. :D

Still, if I was in charge, I would've rewritten it. Heck, I would've rewritten A LOT of crap.

As for Sheyla...it's definitely forgivable. That will make a whole lot more sense when you see it. It's not even really...shippy. Just more of John trying to save everybody b/c he feels guilty, etc, and Teyla being grateful. Not really much more than that. The first scene after the opening credits is the only one that kind of bothered me, but it was so short that you can completely forget about it.

But the one thing that is NOT forgivable is how Sam goes out. Ugh. I hate to say it...but...awful writing...

But trust me, the ep is worth seeing just for Rodney. TRUST ME on that one ^_^
