what was the first anime you ever encountered? what got you hooked?

the first anime i encountered was thundersub and voltron, i believe. i was a really small kid, then. but i didn't get hooked until i saw yyh and sailormoon.

I just find it funny how both of us didn't put CCS as one of the animes that got us hooked... and here we are, writing in a CCS forum... I think i would've get hooked at CCS suppose I got home early from school so that I could watch it at abs-cbn...

I was looking for a site for the anime Sakura Wars at that time till I started fooling around with the search names I went like fiction for fans Sakura wars I know wierd but I was fooling around I didin't really expect this site to pop up I didin't even think anything would pop up I didin't actually became a member till several monthsafter that but I was already hooked up by that time.

Anyway, I've ended up in FF when I searched for Inuyasha *cough*cough* Lemon fics on my early years--like, on my fourth grade. o.O;;

yeah, fourth grade... that would make you, what? 9? that's not too young to be sexually curious. if i remember my freud correctly, we become fascinated by sex at age 7.

maybe filipinos are just conservative. :)

To the first question. My firt anime was Yu Yu Hakusho, which was then called Ghost Fighter, I remember my sister would strangle half to death everytimje Kurama was hurt (smiles) then kiss the TV whenever Youko was on. Back then I think they were called Dennis and Youko was called 'and puting lobo' or something with 'lobo'. I got hooked on it right then and there, I think I was about three years old(?)

On the second question. I found FF.net by my friend in the 4th grade during pull-out her and I would read I think Fushigiyugi(sp?) printed stories by her brother that was well...R!8...hehe. Yes I agree We ARE conservative. Hahaha~~

Ako nakabasa ng isang fanfic about shaman king nuong summer... tapos nabore ako sa shaman king at nagswitch sa CCS... den I got hooked... Pinagpapalit ko na nga to kesa sa pagaaral eh... wahahaha...

I watched every single one of them *sweatdrop*. Julio at Julia was first aired in the morning when I was in first grade^^ and Superboink's a favorite=)

The oldest series I remember watching was Voltes V (did I spell that right?), and Daimos but I can't remember what channel. And then there's Sailor Moon in ABC5^^

I think I was in kinder or prep when Princess Sarah was aired on abs-cbn. I can remember staying with a bunch of friends in the guard's house to watch it every afternoon and then the other students (some were even in the sixth grade) would watch around too. And I'm 19 now; second year college so that was 11 or so years ago? ehehe..

Actually, I got hooked when I first watched Rayearth (Kami... narito... asahan niyong...magtatangooooool! Makiiii... kipag-labaaaan! Para sa kapayapaan~! -- yes, I memorized it x_x). Then my first obsession was Ghost Fighter (YuYu Hakusho) and I was squealing and grinning like an idiot everytime Vincent--eeeh!--aka Hiei--eeh!--or Jericho--eeeh!--aka Koenma--eeeh!--appear on screen (the teenage-looking koenma: hottie; the three-year-old: well, something about him makes me want to cuddle him_hard_and pinch his cheeks like crazy).

And then Fushigi Yuugi comes along in AXN if you have cable. I loved the English version more than the Filipino version in GMA 7. Hotohori is a bishie.. and Nuriko, yeah, he's gay but that doesn't really matter. Loved Chichiri and Mitsukake's cat... they're like twins. ^_^ and then there's also Yui. I like her. And I hate Miaka. She's too dumb and she over-eats without gaining weight. It reminds me of myself minus the without-gaining-weight factor. x_x That's why I hate her.

I just heard about CCS when I stepped on my second year HS. I think that was the first time it was aired on television (abs-cbn...?) but I never really got hooked until now. I'm saving money to buy me the whole collection. ^_^ I simply adore the characters of CCS.

...At syempre, CCS. Sigh. 1st Year College. 7-11am classes ko kaya maaga ako nakakauwi. Once a week, may PE ako until 3PM, which worried me then to death. "Panu pag natraffic yung bus! Mamimiss ko ang Sakura! Syaoran... *wails*" 4:00pm nga ba siya nun sa ABSCBN?

I'm currently reading Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles. My friends and I thought na mahilig talaga sa tragic ending ang CLAMP. I quote from one of our convos: "And because CCS had the fairy-tale-happy-ending among their creations, they decided to make a crossover manga/anime that would eventually lead to Sakura-Syaoran's tragic ending." Boo-hoo. We're not prophesizing that it would happen. Pakiramdam lang. :(

why? anong ngyari gusto kong happy ending. si syoaran nag pakahirap para makuha ang tsubasas ni Sakura. inis ako kay yuko daqhil sa "price" niya para makapagtravel sila syaoran sa iba't ibang worlds.

true, kakabitin nga ang tsubasa season 1, last year ko p npnood un kc dina-download ko. hehehe... pro pra sakin, read manga kung gusto mo mas informative. ewan ko kung bakit, pro tlgang madami ang wla sa anime, especially Outo Arc.

Anyway the first anime I watched was:

1) Mecha Genre: Voltes 5 (back when Marcos decided it was a bad thing, Channel 7.)

2) Shoujo Genre: Candy Candy (aired for 20 or so eps then cancelled Channel 13)

3) Space Opera Genre: Starblazers (a.k.a. Uchu Senkan Yamato aired for two seasos then cancelled Channel 13)

4) Classical Lit Genre: Nobody's Boy (English Version aired for an amazing 1 Episode then cancelled Channel 7 I think...)

5) Magical Girl Genre: Either Akizukin Cha Cha! (Tagalog Version Channel 2) or The Sweet Tales of Saint Tail (English Version Channel 9) I really don't remember which came first pero inaaway ko pa yung kuya ko nung papalabas na yung Saint Tail XD XD XD!!!

Nag simula akong ma-atract sa anime noong pinalabas yung Macross (by my fav animator/mecha designer Kawamori Shoji-sama!) sa Channel 9 hook lang ako sa anime noong pinalabas yung Ranma 1/2 sa Channel 9. Simula ng classical anime boom nung nag enter ako ng college at sa panahon na yon di na ako nanonood ng ibang type ng animation (except maybe for the Disney films).

Ang favorite kong Bishie ay si Syaoran-kun (obviously) at si Duo Maxwell (long-haired, braided boy with a tortured past who calls himself 'Shinigami').Ang favorite female charas ko ay si Sakura Kinomoto (the naive but sincere type); si Rei Ayanami (the mysterious type) at si Airee Collete (ok she's not exactly anime pero s'ya yung type na kalog ba). Pero ang pinaka-avorite kong character ay si Shinji Ikari (because I was like him for a long time : ( ) Hanggang dito na lang muna ang pagsusulat ko at parang kinukwento ko na ang buong talambuhay ko. Mag ingat kayo sa SPAM!(As in spam mail... not the food ^_~!)

Ano? so most likely sad ending nya? Indi ako gaanong fan ng tragedies eh... :(

Concerning Fye (Romanji ng pangalan nya ay Fay D. Flourite) naman, sa tingin ko meron syang kinalaman kay Yasha at Ashura sa original country nya (sa tingin ko meron syang ginawang masama kay Yasha or something that really made Ashura mad.)
