I read it, It's awesome I loved the part with Ash and Alex, I thought Ash was working for them it kinda hinted at it through the story! I couldn't believe that Ash killed Alex's parents tho! That suprised me!!! But I loved it so much I can't wait for the next book!

I was so sad! Poor Alex. Stupid Ash. Anyway I read it in a couple of hours - my friend had it at school and then I went straight to the bookstore and got it. The next book is about Yassen Gregovitch right? I hope there is another "Alex" Alex Rider book.

The book was great! It surprised me about Ash.(I didn`t catch the hints.) I think the next "Alex" Alex Rider book is going to have something to do with that church thing Sabina mentioned.

Am I going to get mauled if I say that I actually rather liked Ash? :D

In a "You're a slimy, insensitive bastard" kind of way...

I do remember thinking that he was probably 'the mole' quite early on in the book, not so much because it was obvious, as such, but because that's the sort of thing authors seem to like doing. *shrug* That said, if *I* picked up on it, it must have been pretty obvious. :P

I read the book quite quickly, but I think I liked it because I wasn't expecting anything at all from it; I absolutely HATED "Ark Angel" - if I could erase it from canon completely, then I *definitely* would - and I didn't expect this to be any good at all. But I really enjoyed it. I'm not saying it was my Book of the Year, or anything, but it was a fun, easy read, with lots of nice Alex-being-hardcore moments, and a little bit of K-Unit and angst thrown in on the side. There was a nice, solid PLOT, it didn't feel like an author who had to get another book out and was scrabbling to come up with something decent, which is always a bonus. :D And, of course, backstory, which is always lovely for fanfiction writers, dontcha think?

What I LOVED, though, is the way Arkangel is pretty much ignored in this new book, so that if you really didn't like it, and you want to write Snakehead fanfiction, you can ignore it's predecessor to your hearts content! *grin*

As for a sequel - I didn't even know there was going to be one! I remember Horowitz saying once that the series would end for good when Alex turned 15... but maybe it'll end up like the Famous Five, where they're all 12 or 13 at the end of the twenty second book, when by all rights the oldest should have been at LEAST 33. *shrug* Well, so long as none of them end up like Ark Angel, I don't think I'll be complaining. :D

Ash was alright, but it was so obvious he was a bad guy/loser but Yu was a cool evil person.

Snakehead was awesume, i expected it to be rubish, like Ark Angel but i was surprised. If i was goin to have me eyes taken out, i'd be sh**ing myself.

Does anyone know if there's goin to be a next book an when its comin out cuz i can't wait. Do ya recon in the last book he'll kill alex? I hope he does, it will compleat the series.

This forum is the best out of the Alex Riders easily, so well done dude who made it.

James.

The end of Snakehead made it seem that it was the last book, but I'm still going by what AH said. He said that you'd know the series was over when Alex's 15th birthday comes. And, if i'm correct, in Snakehead it said that the whole bit with Sayle had been 8 months ago, and Snakehead ended in December. So his birthday must be in April, which means there's 4 more months to go.

Are you all following me yet? I know, i have a lot of time on my hands. :D

Anyway, I don't think AH will kill Alex, because in Ark Angel, he said that he probably wouldn't kill him off. Even though he said "probably" I still don't think he will.

ANYWAY my thoughts about Snakehead:

I really liked it, it wasn't my favorite, but it was better than some of them. I found it kind of ironic how some events in there reminded you of previous books (ex. wrestling reminded me of Eagle Strike when Yassen made him fight the bull, The watch reminds me of Point Blank, the whole rafting thing kind of reminded me of Point Blank again when he snowboarded down the mountain, etc.) I was happy that they explained some more of Alex's history, and I was so sad that Ash was working for Yu. The last person who was almost like family betrays him. *sigh*

Actually I wanted MI6 to have more of a part of it. Ever since Scorpia you don't hear much about Blunt. I know that after that it's more of Alex's doing, but still, I like Blunt.

Yu also reminded me of Sayle, Grief, and Scorpia put into one. Kind of creepy.

AND I was OVERJOYED when Sabina came back at the end. No matter how much everyone hates Sabina I absolutly LOVE her. So send a sniper after me if you have to.

Sabina rocks!!! alex's girlfriend has to be someone who knows who he is, and she's the only one. also she's been there from nearly the start. if he bought in a new girl, it'd be crap. if he had no romance, it'd also be crap. so sabina has to be in there. would love her to have a bigger part nxt book.

I remember being slightly disappointed with Snakehead. You see I have this very annoying habit of subconsciously examining plot lines and taking them apart. So I quickly became suspicious of Ash. And spoiled the ending for myself. So I guess I wasn't disappointed with the book. I was just very annoyed at myself. I still enjoyed the book and liked how it was a bit gritter. Also liked the humor. It was a shout-at-the-pages sort of book. I think my family were very glad once I had finished it. No more annoying teenager hunched over her book and occasionally shouting things like 'No! No! You idiot!' and 'What the hell are you doing under Winston Yu's bed?' So yeah what I am trying to say is that I liked Snakehead. 'Nods to herself and walks off.'

Read snakehead in a few days, must say I really loved the book, but it was prey obvious Ash would turn out to be the badguy. (but it was a nice thing to see more of alex' past) Few months later, I read it for the second time, and I loved it even more! You than see (with knowing the 'end') all the little details pointing at Ash, wich make no sense when they are seen apart, but are totally clear when seen together!

Since it has been confirmed by AH himself: The eight book is called: Crocodile tears, (and isn't about Yassen, like was suspected earlier)

I'm so excited for the 8th book. AH said the Yassen one will be the 9th one(titled Yassen) and the 10th and final book will be called Endurance Point. *Dies in anticipation*
