Interesting facts: He was kidnapped when he was 9, and he was used for genetic testing. The result was an Espeon Hybrid. He spent 4 years in the lab, being submitted to painful testing. He finally found a way to escape, and before he left, he set the lab on fire. He spent a few months fleeing from the people that survived the fire, then finally thought that he would be safe at M.P.A. The only Espeon part that shows is the red gem on his forehead. When he presses it down hard, he starts to change, but when he hits it again, he will start to slowly change back.

- Monica's a ghost. "Unlike Alice and some of the others, I've existed as a ghost for as long as I've existed.

What's an afterlife or limbo to them is life for me."

- Known amongst her friends/associates as 'body horror personified'; "I can cause limbs to appear from my body at

will -- I've even chased someone down a hall just by having arms grow out of each other in a never-ending snake.

They actually bumped into me by accident at the end of things -- made me drop my manga, too." Arguably, it's not

that she can do it that makes her such an effective fright as it's her extreme nonchalance at being able to do it

(and doing it -- she can even mimic the Yume Nikki version on command, but she'll only do it for friends). She

also has the ability to retract her eyes into her 'skull', giving her a literal hollow-eyed look that is enough to

knock a grown man flat on his back in a dead faint.

WHAT GIVES?

Well, Kyros M. Beta has left Makurai (read my posts in the Black Forest, then Boat Docks, respectively and in that order to get the full effect).

WHY'D HE LEAVE?

Well, he felt that Makurai wouldn't serve his purpose -- and staying on an island with his archnemesis would drive him crazy, count on it. Also, he's not quite sure about what happened involving the eye surgery -- it shook him, and so you might call this a soul-searching journey (if Bleed doesn't inadvertently kill him first).

WHY THIS CHARACTER?

I felt like it. She's rather different (in fact, MUCH different than any of my other characters here, and not just in body but in mindset), and I wanted a change from the ultra-genki or ultra-sour people I'd created. So here we have a shy-as-all-Creation ghost who happens to embody 'Body Horror' (look it up on TV Tropes, and know that the entry picture was part of the inspiration for ickle Monica).

Eyes: Scarlet and without any form of a pupil. He hides them behind shades he never takes of, not even at night.

Skin: Extremely pale.

Everyday clothes: A green hoodie and brown jeans. He wears a piece of string in his hair to keep it together. The string has a small black and pink crystal in the form of an eye attached to it.

Formal clothes: His homeland's sermonial uniform. A black tuxedo with a red cape, bearing the royal fammily's crest. Two Rapidash, with the tips of their horns touching. on his right hand he wears a ring bearing the same crest as the cape.

Personality: He's a bit of a loner and a little harsh to every human he meets.

Pokemon Team: Jiyuu (male Rapidash), Hitoshii (Shiny, female Ninetails), Forute (Male, Salamence), Reppuu (Male Skarmory).

Interesting facts: He's the heir to the throne of a far away country, unfortunately he's also a vampire. He was bitten as a child and banished from his country under a few conditions. If he proved to his people that he could lead them as a pure soul, he would be allowed to come back and rule over his people. If he ,at any time, let his instincts harm those around him then the entire army would be sent after him. He travelled to North Star Academy for this prupose and met Angel and Matthew there. He loves to sketch pokemon and claims to be able to assemble a rifle and hit his target in less then 10 seconds.

His first Pokemon, Lu, has been his friend since he was hatched, and is the one who taught Jimmy how to speak to Pokemon.

Name: ??? "Testchan" Gunner

Gender: "Female."

Hair: [I like to think of it as...] "Magenta." It's a dye job (of sorts). The hair colors available were brunette, raven, and blonde, so the one who created her took the brunette and uber-dyed it that shade of pink. She has a little, zig-zagged ponytail made using an industrial-strength ribbon. Why 'industrial-strength'? Apparently, she's got very STUBBORN hair (that is, if not tied back it will snap into a particular style). She's yet to tell ANYONE what that 'natural style' is.

Eyes: "Brown." This is also natural. However, she's occasionally considered putting in red-and-blue contacts ([[You know,] "Boat lights.")

Skin: "Pale flesh-tone." Apparently Testchan hasn't gotten out too much in daylight. However, she does have enough light exposure that she doesn't look like an albino or something. *looks at M. and Marrowchan*

Everyday Clothes...

Head: A ribbon that she uses to tie her hair into her ponytail. It's got long 'tails' (you know how you tie a bow on a package, and it has the two loops and the two strands? Those 'strands' are what I refer to when I say 'tails'), wide and flat, that hang down to her legs. The 'loops' of her ribbon are also wide and flat, but are about the size of a person's palm (i.e., not quite so big in comparison).

Top: A dark-grey blouse with a broach that holds a little cravat-like necktie to her, she also has a waterproof jacket with a hood that can be stored inside the jacket (it has its own little pocket it comes out of). The jacket matches her tie. Occasionally, she might break out the below 'Top No.2' for formal occasions or for when she needs to make an impression.

Top No.2: A black blouse with a little capelet (a small cape, hers being cut just above the elbows and wrapping around her back, arms, and part of her chest) that's fastened about at the sternum with a blue, ovaloid broach. It looks to be from a past school she went to. The broach also fastens a cravat-like necktie about her neck (it's kind of like a clip-on, except that it does wrap around her neck [if you care to look under her folded-down collar]), which is either blood-red or miasma-purple (what's miasma-purple? The color purple at the same hue as blood-red, that's what).

Bottom: Casual suit-pants, always black. Alternatively, she might wear a pair of black shorts, in which case she'll wear knee-high stockings to match.

Shoes: A pair of loafers from her past school, they have blue, ovaloid gems pinned to the tongue of each one as well as a bit of cloth that is folded down (it almost looks like a collar -- I don't know what it's called, but it's seen every now and again in character designs). The cloth is blood-red or miasma-purple, depending on her necktie's color.

Formal Clothes: The Top No.2, and the whole outfit . . . really, REALLY clean.

Personality: As described by her creator: "She's a little more outgoing than the Ver.0.1, but she's still a little shy. She's still fully aware that she's a test run, but despite this maintains a fairly positive outlook on life -- she knows that she can do as she wishes and still meet my expectations, bless her. A sweet thing, really, even if she does have a good handle on how to fight Bearing Tanks. She's the one who wanted to go to Makurai, so I pulled some strings and got her the Pokemon necessary, and now the whole group is fairly close-knit -- kindred spirits, you might say."

Alice - Ditto

- Alice is a Ditto that is able to transform into non-Pokemon objects that can utilize Pokemon moves -- case in point, a cannon that knows Ice Ball, Zap Cannon, Lock-On, and Hydro Cannon. Each morph has only 4 moves and 5 shots with each before it is forced to morph back into a ditto. Beware of odd items like cell phones with Uproar, Screech, Hyper Noise and Supersonic...

- Alice is fairly protective of Testchan, due to the fact that both are experimental/test-subjects -- Alice being a test of how far Ditto can push its Transform ability.

Bob - Wobbuffet

- Bob is a -=MALE=- Wobbuffet that has only four moves: Counter, Mirror Coat, Destiny Bond . . . AND ENCORE.

- Bob enjoys Testchan's company, her having met up with him along the way to Makurai. He's a decent cook, and has even taken the time to teach Testchan some of his recipes -- such as Chicken Stir-Fried in Four Berries' Juices (though, despite the appetizing name and similar taste, when Testchan makes it it looks more like Cockatrice Stir-Fried in Four Humors Distilled ... somehow). He's still teaching her how to preserve the appearances of ingredients...

Kagome - Yukimenoko

= NOTE: Once again I use the Japanese. In this case, it's a bit more foreshadowing than anything else...

- Kagome, aka Kagome Kagome, or Kagome^2, fights autonomously -- no spoken commands. She'll also use any of the moves available to her, but there's one thing she'll do periodically in a predictable manner -- first use Hail, then Double Team, then -start a little game of Kagome Kagome-, which if won she will immediately appear in front of the victim, back to them, and launch an all-consuming Blizzard attack.

- Kagome was acquired by a weather researcher up near Snowpoint, while he was wandering the snowy fields. He nearly died out there, but after a few days of just watching him waste away, something changed in the Ice/Ghost-type and she helped nurse him back to health. The two then went back to his hometown, where his wife (a meteorologist) and daughter (uninterested in anything to do with her father's long absences, only in Pokemon) awaited. Kagome and the daughter got along fairly well, and when not helping simulate hailstorms Kagome played with the daughter. At age 10, the daughter took Kagome along with her to train at a school for becoming a Pokemon trainer. After a while, the two went their respective ways -- Kagome was left at home, a la Ash's Bulbasaur, and the daughter, now a trainer, went off to Kanto to try her hand at starting from scratch. When Testchan's creator called in the favor from the parents, the three of them -- the creator, the parents, and the trainer -- came to an agreement; Kagome would help Testchan become a trainer, and Testchan would help keep Kagome entertained, and when Makurai was over Kagome would be returned not to the parents, but the trainer. Kagome agrees to this and acts a bit like an older sister to the young experiment (somewhat of a contrast to Yukiko and M.'s bizarre relationship of nurse-patient/employee-employer).

= NOTE: Kagome has a Shell Bell on her person, not to mention the paddleball hidden inside her Pokeball (the former does something in battle; the latter is just a taunt, shall we say).

Interesting Facts...

- Testchan has a little device called an 'Option' hovering about her person that has the capacity to fire pulses of energy, or charge a shot and fire it as a laser beam. The Option looks like an ovaloid sphere made of off-white, shimmering energy, but what it is actually made of is a mystery. What IS known is that it was supplied to Testchan's creator by a bizarre scientist wearing a large amount of weaponry on his person and calling himself an 'Arms Dealer'. Despite its weaponized origins, Testchan typically uses it as a different kind of aid -- holding things for her, holding things open (or up) for her, delivering notes, letters, etc., things like that.

Considering that it was apparently made orignally for following supersonic fighter jets into combat, it certainly has enough speed to do so. It also has enough strength in it to hold up a 3-ton weight for an hour, an hour and 10 minutes tops. ("I'm being realistic here -- it isn't Superman, it has its limits." -Testchan's creator, about the Option).

- Testchan was, apparently, created by an elderly female scientist and a younger-looking male scientist of unknown age. The latter provided certain advanced techniques, but the former put it all together and is basically the 'mother', in a sense, of Testchan. What the male scientist is, however, is best described as 'absent'.

Formal Clothes: If she has to dress formal for a special occasion she wears this elegant blue dress that goes down to her ankles. Her hair is curled beautifully and she wears light blue heels.

Personality: Corina is a bit of a shy person. Since shes shy she tries to keep out of people way so she doesn’t upset them. Sometimes people try and take advantage of her since they think she can’t think for herself. The truth is since Corina is very smart she knows not to trust those kinds of people. She doesn’t like to talk about her past much. She is very caring towards pokemon and people she cares about. But if someone does manage to get past the shy exterior you’ll find a sweet, caring, girl, who doesn’t want to make a fool of herself. When people say stuff to her she takes it to heart which makes her a bit self consious. Surprisingly when theres really big problems going on and everyone’s panicking and such, she caan stay very calm during these kinds of situations. When she gets stressed she can get a bit snappy and cranky which is really unlike her personality.

- All of her Pokemon, save Pierroette, have some form of mental problem -- none of which are her fault, nor were acquired while in her care; instead, she just has to put up with them.

- Lili met Harle two schools ago. That is, in elementary school. From there, they travelled to the same junior high, and from there, the two have remained friends -- with Lili actually making the move to go to Makurai ("I had to run it by my parents -- thoughtfully and casually. I was sweating bullets when I made my pitch, but I made it! And here I am."). Harle was pleased at this.

- Actively searches for ley lines and psychic energy, and enjoys the presence of ghosts. However, the one thing she likes better than all those is peculiar moonlight.

- Her eye color, while unusual, is perfectly natural.

- Harle met Lili through Lili defending her from a schoolyard bully. Of course, Harle was about to say something that would make that bully wet his pants, but the kind gesture from another person, from a seemingly normal human being no less, was touching. Shen's mother knew what his husband's brother was planning, and at the last minute sacrificed herself for Shen, he was around 6 when it all happened. Severe at face value. However, when one gets to know her, she's not as cold and unforgiving as she looks -- she just needs to open up first.

Ninjask (female): Diao Chan

- Acquired as an egg from a Trainer who was giving them away, Diao Chan has since become a staple of her team -- a Baton Passer, naturally.

- Note: Her name comes from that of one of the four beauties of ancient China; she appears in Romance of the Three Kingdoms as part of a planned love triangle . . . through which she has Lu Bu kill his adopted father, the tyrant Dong Zhuo.

- Diao Chan was used to convince la Spada to come to Makurai, and is her fourth Pokemon.

Mismagius (female): Hecate

- Found within Lost Cave as a Misdreavus, subdued using Scylla, and named in honor of the goddess of witchcraft.

- Hecate was la Spada's second Pokemon.

Steelix (female): Scylla

- Acquired from a Trainer who had caught it wild on Iron Island but was reluctant to keep it -- he'd caught it to give to a girlfriend, only to learn that she was afraid of snakes, even ones made of alloy. Given the name 'Scylla' -- at la Spada's request -- for a fair maiden transformed into a six-necked, six-headed monster.

- Scylla was la Spada's third Pokemon.

Rhyperior (female): Echidna

- Acquired at the Safari Zone as a Rhyhorn, then trained to become a Rhydon and then evolved into Rhyperior, named in honor of the mother of all monsters.

- Echidna was la Spada's first Pokemon.

Interesting facts . . .

- Sees herself as a 'monster' -- in fact, a good portion of her life seems to have only served to solidify this belief. However, as she will occasionally intone: "Remember: even monsters have feelings."

- Her given name is actually 'la Spada', with 'Jabberwocky' as a 'family name', one might call it. When asked why she did this, she may (if feeling up to it) answer "I was tired of just being an extraordinary monster."

- She's a specific 'type of Jabberwocky', according to some official papers she keeps crammed within her chestplate.

- Rather than carry a pack, she carries random useful odds and ends in her chestplate and gauntlets -- for example, she keeps coinage inside her right gauntlet (she may be seen pounding on her palm to get the coins to slide out), her license to handle Pokemon in her left gauntlet, a Pokegear in her chestplate (along with some white ribbon, scraps of iron, a locket, etc.), and all sorts of other items. Also has several bus and train passes hidden within her chestplate, implying that she has gotten around quite a bit.

- Has a pair of inherent 'abilities' called 'Fatal Attraction' and 'Mortal Focus' -- Fatal Attraction lets her instinctively follow a target anywhere, and Mortal Focus lets her literally ignore any and all obstacles between her and the thing she's following through Fatal Attraction (trees, walls, people, it's like they don't exist).

The way to tell which is which is to count the horns -- odd is male, even is female.

- Marrow is keeping a journal she calls her "Solomon" -- kept on cards she keeps in her bag, the Solomon is her way of unwinding after a hard day's work.

- Marrow's bag typically contains the following six items: 3 Super Potions, 3 Full Heals, her Solomon (kept in a hard leather case), a pack of 20 hairpins, her Pokegear, and a bottle of water.

- This Marrow is in fact not the same Marrow that originally came to Makurai, let alone remotely related to her.
