I still can't help laughing when I read my IM story! That line was just too perfect.

The reason I ask is that twice now I've had an unnamed student get weirded out by my characters' antics (the 'blinking hat' incident, for example, where he was staring at Marrowchan's hat), and I'm thinking that he'll probably make more appearances . . . but he's not going to actually ever become a normal character. However, he'll probably make appearances when a person is needed for a gag or a convenient person, so he's definitely going to be used more than once. I may even give him a name ('Basil Chandler' has a nice ring to it) . . .

And before Picklewars2 asks (or 'says', it depends), the reason this isn't in the 'questions' part is because I already know that roleplaying bit parts like that is OK according to the rules (at least, that's how I read it).

Anyone else suggest anything? I also have to do reaserch to find the stuff. I'll just post stuff in the role-play for the forum, but I highly doubt that I'll control my characters while I'm at it.

The upcoming story Pokemon: Before Time is ging to be soo awesome!

For example, a Scyther with Technician as its ability will have an immensely pumped-up Aerial Ace attack -- the same-type attack bonus (STAB) of a 2x power/damage/whichever multiplier is applied after Technician's effect increases the move's power by 1.5 times, meaning (theoretically) that that's 60 base power times 1.5 (making it 90 power) and then times 2 again (making it 180 power) -- and that's even before Scyther's ridiculously high Physical Attack stat and type matchups are applied to it.

In short, even in the Anime a Scyther would have a ridiculously strong Aerial Ace.

Yeah, I know tons of odd tips like that, so if need be I could easily come up with one for any issue of the mag.
