Topic: The hero
Does anyone else think that Jess is the hero of season six? without him, Rory would have continued being Logan's groupie and that isn't cool. I needed to see the old rory again and Jess gave her the wake up call that she needed.

I totally agree. I just wish he could've stuck around longer. Made Rory really Rory again. I can't really talk though, because I missed all the new episodes after that. Ha ha.

Jess was only in that episode for like two seconds! I loved it though because Jess was great helping Rory reflect on her current life but then I hated it because he was only there for two second because of Logan's jerkiness. I never liked that guy...

I loved that epsiode and of course I loved JESS!! But, did you notice how Jess was never mentioned to Lorelai?? Or never ever brought up again after that epsiode? I hate that, that ALWAYS happens!!

Rory and Jess have to end up together at the end of the show!!

I know, they do! I hate that he didn't even make his prescence there known to Luke. I wish he would return again...

I noticed that too. He and Luke had been somewhat close before, so why wouldn't Jess contact him? And it would be nice for Luke to be able to say I told you so to Jess. He had always thought that Luke was delusional about having anything with Lorelai.

Insert Something Memorable
Didn't Jess say to Rory that Luke had filled him in on the Rory/Lorelai-situation? Or am I not remembering it correctly?

I think it would be awesome if he'd return in like the last couple of episodes of the show, that would be the dream ending in my head, but I don't really think it will happen. But then again, Milo Ventimiglia did say that he'd never return to the show, and he did...

^Yeah... He did say that. God, I wish he would come back again, again! Luke was one of the only people that believed in Jess. He should at least thank him.

Milo Ventimiglia only came back so that he could have a chance to be the good guy instead of the jerk (although he was sort of harsh toward the end) so it's possible he might come back again and be good again but probably not unitl next year :( because stupid Matt Czuuchry is signed for this whole season :( hopefully he'll decide to come back for a longer period of time.

i really hope that jess will come back soon!! gilmore girls isn't complete without jess. and screw logan!! jess and rory belong together forever!! logan is just some snobby rich jerk(not really sorry to say this at all)! logan is only there to complete rory's misreble stay at her grandparents place. and once rory has(and now did) leave that world logan will leave her world too!! since u said that he is signed up for the whole season i guess logan will return to either annoy rory or try to get rory back...but i really don't see what other use logan could be other than that reason!! jess should really come back for good or at least make several appearances on the show to romance rory. the only real reason people seem to like logan is a)he seemed to work well with the "new rory" b)he was from a whole different world or c)his friends were very entertaining. personally i'd go with choice c)....colin and fin were pretty funny. but that is the only reason...logan is a part of rory's grandparents' world....not her world!! jess is a part of rory's true world...now and forever!! can't wait for the new episodes starting this month!!JESS AND RORY TOGETHER!!

one question....aren't alexis and milo going out?? i thought that they were or still are...anyone out there know?^.^

I hope Jess will come back...and if he doesn't want that...then let the show end with Rory saying she wants Jess...and she calls him or writes....NO not working he has to get back on the show! But please let Logan go awaaahaaaay! I mean we finally got rid of Dean...and now this little suc- okay enough!

I love Jess!

Buh-bye

i most definatly agree with u on that notion! Milo is so hot...Alexis is so lucky to be dating him and even before then she got to do all those kiss scenes with Milo on the show. she is super lucky! Milo should most definatly come back on the show!! i miss him so much!! i literally spent most of my vacation watching season 3(gift) and couldn't get enough of him!! i really hope they bring jess back on the show....i wanna see him punch Logan so badly...i just really don't like Logan at all!!=( well new episodes start tonight YAY!! plus i'm getting season 4 and season 5 tonight also....ah more Milo!^.^

thanx for answering the question...i'm so glad they are still together! yeah Logan should seriously just leave the show NOW!! Jesss should just come back, walk in on Logan yelling at Rory cause he's obviously drunk, and Jess will come up tap Logan on the shoulder, Logan turns around, and......BAM! Jess punches Logan square in the jaw! Jesss just has to come back! and ur right they just got rid of Dean again and we think Jess is gonna come back again but then no we have jackass Logan come along and ruin the whole thing! as u can obviously see i'm Logan's number one fan(being sarcastic)..(turns and runs away from all the Jess fans screaming). WATCH NEW EPISODES TONIGHT!^.^

I like your thinking....I can totally picture it! Logan must go! The only one I like is Finn..not like like! But he is so funny...

You know I think Jess is coming back in the season 7, when the show stops..

Coz he will definitely come back for the wedding (the looks they gave each other in let me hear your balalalalalalaika's ringing out!) and they will have a few moments....and then of course Logan sees all this and gets really jealous! So he follows Rory to the kitchen ( in his drunken state ) And there we have your fabulous idea! he starts yelling at Rory and Jess beats him up! Rory tells Jess about her real feelings ---- I always loved you Jess! Logan and Dean were rebound guys....maybe not in those words but she will mean it like that :P and then the show will continue....with Jess and Rory...

But seriously I really think he will come back...and they will get back together....because everybody loves them!

The most hate Dean...and Logan isn't really scoring high points here...he makes me sick!...okay enough before I'll find some really angry Logan-fans with pitchforks at my door...

yeah Dean was alright for the first season when everything was just getting started, but after that there isn't really too much use for him. than second season they have to bring in Jess cause, well, he's Jess. i hated when they made him leave at the end of season 3....if the show wasn't as good as it is i might have stopped watching. Also ur right Logan really isn't scoring any favorable points with the viewers....except for the self absorbed ones at least. and i like ur idea too.....that would be really great if it happened like that.....i can seriously see the scene going on in my head=) and damn those Logan fans....where do they get those pitchforks from anyways...u'd think after a while they would run out of them....but i guess not. oh i hope everyone tuned in for the premire episode this past Tuesday! i really hated when they just ended the episode without Luck telling about him having a kid already.....i really hope he doesn't screw this up......he better not!:0 ^.^

Okay, ready for my dream world where I try to be as realistic as possible, so that what I make up in my head actually seems plausable and I can keep hope alive that the writers will think like me?

starting mid-season 6: Rory and Logan get back together. They give it a real shot, but it just doesn't work out. She wants her career too badly, and his drunken ways don't seem to be 'just a phase'. They part (bitterly, amicably, I couldn't care less...). Rory moves on and starts figuring out what she wants to make of her life WITHOUT a boyfriend. Once she's headed down that beautiful path lined with self-esteem and goals, wouldn't you know it's time for Luke and Lorelai's wedding? Jess returns for the wedding. (Because I seriously can't think of a good reason for him NOT to be there, regardless. I'm not joking, the writers would have to come up with some awful plot contrivance to keep him away.) He and Rory catch up (now that it's 'a better time'), and realize that for the first time ever, they're both emotionally stable and satisfied with their lives, except for one thing...no one to share it with! They admit they're meant to be together forever and ever, and we get the first main character 'I love you. I love you, too.' exchange (within the same conversation) since the days of original boyfriend!Dean. Cue sappy music and them riding off into the sunset. The end.

I'll admit, it's not perfect, but I think you'll agree with me when I say it's the general path the show should take to make us all a little bit happier.

Here's to hoping...

Oh my god! let's hope, pray do whatever you want! But they have to get back together....I could care less how!

...let Jess have another shane and make Rory jealous...or let her dressed like a muppet run after him....or the most realistic one let them reconnect at the wedding! I would do anything for them to get back together! And I don't care how anymore! Just let them be together! please!

yes that would be the best way for things to go. God i miss all things Jess, and the worst part there isn't much Milo anywhere else. I mean i didn't hate logan at first when he was a Dean alternative but now... i hope he wont come back next season. he's not right for Rory, even if she doesn't end up with Jess (Which i pray wont happen) she shouldn't be with Logan, he has this mean family that won't stop tearing her down and no one in Rory's family thinks Logan is good for her.

Hear's my thoughts on why Jess is the only logical choice for Rory: Dean: He's way to clingy, he cheated cause he liked someone better, whos to say someday he won't like someone more than Rory, the way he broke up with he the second time made me sick and he had 3 chances he's done. Marty: Nice guy...but way to shy, he doesn't seem to take many risks(like Rory) They'd never do anything exiting, she needs someone to challange her and make her do things she wants to but is to afraid to. Tristan: Love Love Love him...but not for Rory, he's not like her, they have nothing in common, it would never work. Logan: all the reasons i've already said, plus he's never had a sereous relationship, going through that change with someone could really stress you out, Rory doesn't need that. So who's left... The only guy who wasn't the worst person in the world, didn't cheat on his wife, not say his dad was wrong that she was good at what she wanted to do and didn't end their friendship cause he couln't see her with another guy (Sorry, i do really like marty as a character)

the only thing about logan i'll miss is his friends Collin and Finn are some of the funnest people on that show.

hey has anyone noticed how they parallel Lorelai and Jess all the time, for example in the 2nd season episode: there's the rub both of them said Rory would have to burn down the house to get rid of the smell of the food she ordered. And those two are the only ones who always talk about santa, i just thought it was a little weird. What do you guys think? can you come up with any more paralellels? by the way i hear Jess is coming back for an episode soon, i'm not sure it's true has anyone else heard anything?

I think they do that on purpose...I mean Rory already knows but they woný believe that they are so much alike...and I think it is typical...have you ever counted how many santa clause references Jess makes...tooo much =P

Yeah, I heard Jess is coming back for one episode in April, but this time it will be interaction with Luke. I'm not sure how true it is though, but if it is true it promises to be funny, though I can just imagine Jess straightening otu Luke and Lorelai's relationship like how he got Rory's life back together.

The Real Paul Anka to air: 4/11/2006

Rory accepts Jess’ invitation to attend an open house at his new book store/art gallery/publishing house in Philadelphia. While there, she is surprised to run into Luke, who is accompanying his daughter April on an academic field trip. (I got this from www.tv.com that's a great spolier site) hey have any of you ever heard the song "the story so far" by new found glory, well i think that's a Jess\Rory song.

Did any of tou see the seens last night, i really hope Jess stays on the show for awhile, even if Jess and Rory aren't together, although i hope they are.

well that really was terrible!!!!

i can't believe what a crappy episode that was! it went way to quickly and Logan was in it way too much. first of all nothing really interesting happened at all and the dstuff that was suppossed to be interesting was all twisted around and crushed all my hopes into dust!

Yes Jess was on the episode but he was only shown in the last 10-15 minutes and the only good part was when he kised Rory but after that everything sucked!!! Rory told Jess that Logan had cheated on her but dispite all that SHE STILL LOVED HIM........THAT PART REALLY ** ME OFF!!!!!and jess just let Rory go, which was a bit more mature of him, but i can't believe that Rory just left like that without anything happening!!!

Well at least there was one funny moment when Mrs. Kim gave Lorali the wedding dress and Lane kept trying to get her to ruin it....."All about the Hamaltins"

I haven't seen that ep yet. I'm new to the GG world and the ABC Family's just started the 5th season. However, I noticed something odd in the 3rd season: after Jess came back the first time---it was after Luke told him that Dean and Rory were back together---Luke made a mention of Liz and her boyfriend and Jess got this really weird look on his face and then went onto something else. Am I the only one who thought of the possibility that one of Liz's boyfriends could've abused Jess in some way and he was hiding it, which was why he was being such a jerk to everyone? Please reply. Catch ya on the flip side.

Yeah I think he was, he put Rory back on track after stupid Logan pulled her down. It was definetely not like Rory to steal a yacht, fight with her mother, and quit Yale. Jess restored Rory to her old self, her REAL self. Stupid Logan...

i agree wholeheartedly. colin and finn kick **! and all of your reasons for why jess is perfect are totally true!

here are my opinions:

1. dean sucks and i want to hunt him down and make him into a jelly roll that i will feed to christopher to make him die!

...woah! that was graphic! anyway, point is, chris and dean are ** on toast! (love that saying...)

2. jess is perfect for rory. they are made for each other, and he rocks!

it really ** me off that he left and it ** me off even more that the spinoff didn't work!

3. heroes rocks and milo is the definition of hot!

um that's all for now, folks! bye!

so is anyone else as mad as i am that the didn't even mention that Jess saw, or for that matter even knew, he's sister, i mean Liz had the baby that make her Jess's sister and yet as far as we know he has no clue. And if he did know i think he would of wanted to see her... i'm not saying milo had to came back, i know he couldn't because he was busy on heroes, but they could of said something about just comming back from seeing him or something.... idk, it makes me mad how they just like completly droped him from the show. But whatever, i just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same way i did or maybe i'm just crazy...

Seriously, he should have. It would have made my day. He is a character you can't just cut out and let dissappear after a while like Tristan or Marty or Dean. Jess has too many connections to main characters other than Rory (ie Luke and Liz). ALthough i think the writers were trying to tie up the Jess and Rory story line in season six, i think Jess should have made a cameo in season seven at least once.

Although, I am slightly glad that Rory didn't officially end up with anybody at the end of the show. It sort of leaves it open for fans to interrupt and dream thier own outcome. Jess fans can think she ended up back with Jess. Logan fans can think she may have found her way back to Logan, ect. I was honestly surprised when Rory said no to Logan's proposal. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want her to say yes, I don't like Logan that much, but I thought the writers would have made her say yes. That was a surprise for me that I was happy about.

exactly. I like the idea that Rory ended up without anyone. I think that she's strong enough to stand alone, and she doesn't really need someone to lean on. Although I LOVED Jess, I gave up on him coming back a LOOONG time ago. But I think that Rory will be alright w/out a boyfriend

No OvalOpus your NOT CRAZY - I've said the exact same thing before! It was riddiculous that they didn't mention him. I thought for sure there ould be at least one intresting conversation with Luke and Liz about how Jess took the news but we got nothing! I'm pretty sure he would have had a few comments on the name 'Doula.' Although Jess was mentioned out of context a few times in the 7th season, i think it was really ASP who kept the real life of the show going, i'm pretty sure she wouldn't let people forget that Liz had a son. I really hate it when they act like certain charaters never exsisted on the show! Espeacially when it's perhaps one of, if not the best written charcter on the show! If someone makes an impact on your life like Jess did for Stars Hollow, you don't forget them - period!

Although i wish Jess and Rory ended up together, it's better she ended up single ready to take on the world than with Logan. It didn't really surprise me that they made her turn down Logan's proposal; although they may have changed her charater alot - and not in a good way - she's always been very independent so i kind of always thought they would let her go off and make her own way in the world, and not be tied down the way her mother was.
