Say it in all seriousness like it's the first time you've heard any of this. In Australia we actually honour our veterans on ANZAC day, Remembrance Day is more just remembering World War One (and Two).

Nope. It was actually signed around 5am and sent round immediately saying the cease-fire was to start at 11am. Lots of people died.
