NickyFox13I like this idea, I think I'll try it when I get more free time and ideas. I have one question: do you write a oneshot for each prompt or write one long fic with each prompt? |
ToManyLettersEither way. It is a story of your preferred length. |
NickyFox13Okay, thanks. I'll get working on this as soon as possible. |
ToManyLettersEnjoy. Should be an awesome challenge. Depending on who you chose, you may be able to do a story that also incorporates the "Peace in Choice" challenge. |
Demoiselle KyotaOoh, TML, this looks like fun!I'll do it, with Neville, since he's the first one I thought of after reading this. It might kinda take me a while to actually writ it, though, if that's okay...? |
ToManyLettersJust added your claim to the list. Good luck! |
Demoiselle KyotaOkay, thanks! =D |
ToManyLettersHave you had a look at the "Peace in Choice" challenge? You may be able to do both in the same story. |
Demoiselle KyotaUmm...*Runs off to other thread* | #10 Mar 07th 2008, 7:05pm

ToManyLettershttp://www.fanfiction.net/topic/40863/4595239/1/Just in case; there are tonnes of challenges here. All of them are awesome. | #11 Mar 07th 2008, 7:07pm
Demoiselle KyotaMm. It would be easier to do them both at the same time, but for now I'll just keep it to this challenge, and if I happen to mix in the "Peace in Choice", well, then...I'll see what happens. :) | #12 Mar 07th 2008, 7:09pm
ToManyLettersHehe. Enjoy. (And glance at some of the others, you might find them interesting as well.| #13 Mar 07th 2008, 7:12pm

Demoiselle KyotaOkieee....You're doing Ron? I thought you hated him? ...And are you going away soon? | #14 Mar 07th 2008, 7:13pm
ToManyLettersYou're doing Ron? I thought you hated him? Mhmm. I'm doing the "Peace in Choice" challenge as a base for him. It'll basically be an opportunity form me to rag on him as best I can. ...And are you going away soon? I'm preparing to go on a mission for my church. I'll be gone in a few months or so for two years. | #15 Mar 07th 2008, 7:17pm
Demoiselle KyotaOh, wow...two years? That's a long time...Gilly mentioned you going away on a mission and I oh-so-smartly asked if you were a secret agent... *Ahem* So, what kind of mission is it? | #16 Mar 07th 2008, 7:19pm
ToManyLettersOh, wow... two years? That's a long time...Yes. Two years. It's the standard mission length. Gilly mentioned you going away on a mission and I oh-so-smartly asked if you were secret agent... LOL... no, I'm definitely not a secret agent. Gilly and I have several times now discussed that blurb of yours. *Ahem* So, what kind of mission is it? A proselyting mission. | #17 Mar 07th 2008, 7:21pm
Demoiselle KyotaYou and Gilly are gossiping about me? Ahh, it would be really cool if you were a secret agent...A proselyting mission? I just looked up "proselyting" on the ff.net dictionary...you're going to convery people? EDIT: "Convery"? Oh, dear, that's not even a word, is it? I meant "convert". :) | #18 Mar 07th 2008, 7:24pm . ToManyLettersYou and Gilly are gossiping about me? Ahh, it would be really cool if you were a secret agent... Not about you... didn't know it was you that had said it till you brought it up. A proselyting mission? I just looked up "proselyting" on the ff.net dictionary...you're going to convert people? That's the general idea, yeah. | #19 Mar 07th 2008, 7:25pm
Demoiselle KyotaOh, just about you being a secret agent, then? Hee hee...That's so cool! Where do you go to convert people? Is it like inspirational speaking about God and stuff? (Sorry if I'm really off base here...) I know that Christians are supposed to spread God's Word but I, personally, wouldn't know how to go about it. Of course, I'm thinking telling random people that God exists and Jesus exists. I'm sure you've got better ways than I. XD Actually, I did spend one night IMing my friend and trying to convert him to Christianity... | #20 Mar 07th 2008, 7:31pm

ToManyLettersOh, just about you being a secret agent, then? Hee hee... Yeah just about me [t]not[/i] being a secret agent. Where do you go to convert people? Wherever God needs me. My papers are going in at the moment. I'll receive my mission call (and, in that, where I'm going) when the paperwork goes through. Is it like inspirational speaking about God and stuff? Um... basically, the main idea is to go door-to-door offering people a chance to listen. They can turn us away if they choose, but we offer them the chance. We also come back for those who would like to learn more and help them learn more. I know that Christians are supposed to spread God's Word but I, personally, wouldn't know how to go about it. Of course, I'm thinking telling random people that God exists and Jesus exists. I'm sure you've got better ways than I. XD Well, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (people often call us 'Mormons'). Our Church has missionary work down to a tee. | #21 Mar 07th 2008, 7:38pm

Demoiselle KyotaOh, okay. Thank you, that explains a lot to me.I'm a member of the Community Church where I live. :) Isn't going door-to-door dangerous? Or, I dunno, is that just what they tell you when you're a kid selling Girl Scout Cookies? Is there another way you could do it besides going door-to-door? Like, I know that some people get annoyed with people who ring everyone's doorbell and try to get them to do stuff or buy stuff, etc. ...Or maybe that's just my family. | #22 Mar 07th 2008, 7:42pm

ToManyLettersIsn't going door-to-door dangerous? It can be. Or, I dunno, is that just what they tell you when you're a kid selling Girl Scout Cookies? I won't know about the Girl Scout Cookies part... we don't sell them in the Boy Scouts. ... As an Eagle Scout I think I know... I hope I know. Is there another way you could do it besides going door-to-door? Yeah, some people call the church and ask to have the missionaries come by. That's usually a bit better - also, members sometimes have friends that are interested or may be interested - the missionaries can go see those people and talk to them. | #23 Mar 07th 2008, 7:46pm

Demoiselle KyotaAll righty, then.When you're going door-to-door, be careful! I think it's really cool that you're doing this. It...I admire it a lot. :) | #24 Mar 07th 2008, 7:52pm

mustardgirl1128I'd love to participate! Hmm...For my character I think I'll do Angelina Johnson.Wow...that took me abut 6 minutes to come up with a character! Also, I've got a question...I know I want mine to be a 5-chaptered fic, one chap for each propmt, so could I have little stories for each chapter that are related in some way? I'm a little confused on how to actually go about doing it! | #26 Mar 10th 2008, 3:42pm

KatherineGrace79Hey! This sounds great. I've been meaning to flex my writing muscles properly for sometime but have been unable to think up a plot. These are fantastic. I think I'll do Luna Lovegood, if everyone's okay with that. Kate | #28 May 20th 2008, 6:29am

Bad MumThat's fine, Kate. Post a link once it's up! | #29 May 20th 2008, 9:30am
KatherineGrace79How do I post links? - stupid question, I know, but I've never been able to do it. | #30 May 20th 2008, 9:42am
Bad MumOnce the story is up, copy the address from your address bar and post it. For some reason it only works for some people... (And you need to make sure you access your story via your profile page, because if you access it in "preview" mode it only works for you.) Does that make sense? | #31 May 20th 2008, 9:48am

KatherineGrace79Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Thank you! | #32 May 20th 2008, 9:49am

sick-atxxheartCount me in, sorry I'm so late. I'll actually try writing it now. I think I'm going to try Draco Malfoy. |
Love From A Muggleis this challenge still running? I think I want to do Pansy Parkinson. She's under developed in the book and movies. I'll give this a shot. |
Bad MumYeah, our challenges go on forever... |
Love From A MuggleThen I'm sticking with Pansy! I already started writing some of it yesterday and am excited about it. I've never written Pansy before so this should be interesting. |
FirstYearI've been working on a story about Remus Lupin that fits this challenge. So, in a moment of pure self-serving hunt for readers I'm tossing it in to the challenge. It is a long piece, only the first 8 chapters are up. I used one of the chapters in The Summer Challenge on the RL, Slaying Dragons, but it started with The Witch With One Name ... it is one of those stories that kept nagging at me to finish the whole story. |
NickyFox13...Oh god, I meant to take this challenge *forever* ago. So I'll take this challenge with Leanne (she spoke two lines in HBP) and will start ASAP. |
