Shadow RinTopic: Orientation -- RolePlay Guide
We've had a couple of confused newbies around this forum, so I decided to create a topic for newbies so that they understand which role-plays are which, how to enter them, and other such things. I'll organize a couple of things later on, but for now, I'm just going to get up a guide. If you've got any questions, please go to the Questions thread. If you want to read the rules, then click here and read them thoroughly. The Adventure Series -- This role-play is basically an adventure. If you've seen the Pokemon anime, this role-play is basically like that. It's based in Sinnoh, so you can travel from town to town competing in contests as a coordinator, winning battles in gyms as a trainer, or fulfilling other careers such as a breeder, ranger, artist, or others. Create your character for it in the Character Create topic. For the role-play, the mods create new topics whenever the current part of the role-play has reached 30 pages - if we go any more, it would probably get confusing for the newbies if they wanted to read it. So far, we've reached Part 9, but feel free to read the rest of the topics if you want. Remember - you must have your character approved before you enter the role-plays. Lost -- A role-play which has been inactive for quite a while. This role-play is focused in the middle of a dark forest. Your character is stuck there, and needs to find a way out. But the forest is long and never ending. Those who have escaped the forest's clutches remain stranded. It's pretty boring, though. Use the information on the first post to create your character. Click on the title, where it says Lost, and you'll be directed to the topic. Once the mods or myself have approved or you, role-play your heart out xD Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. RPG Set-Up -- A role-play created by a user by the name of KillrNoob, now Woodsballer, I think. It's pretty much a role-play in the Pokemon world, with your character as a Pokemon. Read the rules topic for a basic review of all the rules. Create your character by clicking the title of the role-play - the first word on the first line, pretty much - and using the information on the first post. Characters will be approved when Woodsballer, the mods or myself approved of them. Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. Pokemon-Warriors Crossover Role-Play -- A role-play set in the world of Warriors, only with Pokemon instead of cats. Never heard of Warriors? Warriors is a series written by Erin Hunter, and it's about wild cats living in groups called Clans. Each Clan has a leader, who rules over the Clan and gives them orders and such, the deputy, who, when the leader dies, becomes leader - but before that happens, he usually organizes patrols and such that inspect the territory and hunt for the Clan, warriors, who defend and hunt for the Clan, apprentices, who train to become warriors, kits, or in other words Kittens, who become apprentices, a medicine cat, who keeps everyone healthy, heals sicknesses and other such, the medicine cat apprentice, an apprentice who trains to become a medicine cat rather than a warrior, elders, who are retired cats, and queens, female cats who give kits to the Clan. They live life in the wild. This role-play is based off all that, and we still have Clans and ranks, but we have such as Medicine Pokemon and all that. Create your character by clicking the link that says Pokemon-Warriors Crossover Role-Play and use the information on the first post to create them. Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. Pokemon High School Role-Play -- A Pokemon school role-play - you can learn to become a coordinator, trainer, breeder or ranger. Sign up for the school by creating your character using the information on the firest post. You will be directed to the topic if you click on the title of the role-play - so basically just click on the first word of the first line. This is currently inactive. Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. Pokemon I-M -- A pretty boring role-play. You need to sign up with the Pokemon High School Role-Play topic before you can enter this one. Basically, your characters can chat with one another over either AIM, Yahoo! Messanger and MSN, whatever you want. Use the information on the first post to create your I-M account. These accounts your create will not really be create with AIM, Yahoo! Messanger, MSN, or whatever I-M service you chose in the role-play. It's just fantasy. Click on the Pokemon I-M title and the beginning of this paragraph to go to the topic. But make sure that you have signed up with the Pokemon High School Role-Play topic first! Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. The Computer Life -- Another boring role-play. It's pretty much just like the Pokemon I-M role-play, only this one doesn't force your to sign up with another role-play. And this one has more features. Rather than just I-M, in this role-play, you have sites like FictionPress and YouTube and whatnot. Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. Pokemon Role-Play -- Pretty much like the Adventure series. You can choose whichever role-play you want to role-play in. You can choose both, if you want. Created by Kibamaru. Use the information on the second post of the topic to create your character, although I've got absolutely no idea which region we're role-playing in. You have to ask Kibamaru in a private message. Click on the link at the beginning of this paragraph and you will be directed to the role-play? Your character must be approved before you enter the role-play. Pokemon Dungeon Rescue Team Role-Play -- Ever heard of then Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games? This role-play is based off the Red and Blue versions, not the Explorers of Time and whatever other Dungeon games. Although this one isn't quite the same. Although the waking up as a Pokemon are all the same, we decided to make our own plot - so basically, we don't have to be a fugitive and such. Create your character using the information on the first post of the topic. Click on the first link of this paragraph to be directed to the role-play. Remember, your characters must be approved before you enter the role-play. So, this topic didn't help you, eh? Well, just go straight to the questions topic and shoot your questions right at me! The link should be provided at the top of this post. So, enjoy, newbies! | #1 Jan 12th, 5:00pm . Edited Jan 12th, 7:45pm | |
