GM AndyThought I'd put some thoughts about the TARDIS here in relation to her behavior. Might spoil you, or not.First off the ability of the ship to make small hops in both space and time (classic who, neither the ship nor her operator had the skill or likely working circuitry to make such jumps) is new. I believe then this is something added by the retrofit ordered for the ship because of the Time War. The TARDIS is not a classic type 40 anymore, afterall. She shows off the ability early on when she moves away from Simon's cryo-locker. Now, the Doctor could have just taken Simon and River off the planet at that point and that would have been it. But for one thing, River was carrying something latent, and the TARDIS managed to shut down enough to not trigger it. What would Simon have done if something had happened to River before he trusted this new stranger? How would that have altered the story? Let's just say that it would have been bad, ok. | #2 Feb 13th 2008, 10:16am | |
