Topic: Second Story: DW and the Ties that Bind

Well, I've started on the second adventure. I can't blame Christmas Chocolate for this one...

Please post questions and comments about the second act here.

Thought I'd put some thoughts about the TARDIS here in relation to her behavior. Might spoil you, or not.

First off the ability of the ship to make small hops in both space and time (classic who, neither the ship nor her operator had the skill or likely working circuitry to make such jumps) is new. I believe then this is something added by the retrofit ordered for the ship because of the Time War. The TARDIS is not a classic type 40 anymore, afterall.

She shows off the ability early on when she moves away from Simon's cryo-locker. Now, the Doctor could have just taken Simon and River off the planet at that point and that would have been it. But for one thing, River was carrying something latent, and the TARDIS managed to shut down enough to not trigger it.

What would Simon have done if something had happened to River before he trusted this new stranger?

How would that have altered the story?

Let's just say that it would have been bad, ok.

Decided to hit Dark Fury first then slip them into the Firefly 'Verse. My plan is to have them meet and travel with Serenity for a while. I may have the Doctor slip off an find Rose without the others... or not, actually that bit will likely be with the next act, not this one. I'm curious as to what you all think about order of events, however.

Wait... Titanic! must have the Doctor visit the Titanic before he meets Rose. And Dallas in 1963 and Krakatoa in 1880

right.

My gosh... I've been sooo busy with work. I'm working on the next chapter. It's almost ready to go, but with my crazy hours I'm only getting 2-3 hours of writing time a day. I can't wait until this craziness at work is over for the year. Just a few more weeks... Sigh.
