Should I do the background bits with the 2nd Dr and Jamie in detail?

I've just stumbled upon the "transcript project" and found that every story with Jamie aside from the multi-doctor ones have been done, thus I can give very detailed scenes that fit in with the canon stories, but where should they go?

I'm actually considering placing them in their own fanfic. However, I could fit them in as detailed dreams, daydreams, or the Doctor telling Verity, Richard or others about the past. Decisions... maybe I'll do a poll?

I'm trying an experiment... doing the adventure with hints as a separate story, and doing the Doctor's thoughts and feelings as memories.

The story is called 'All About the Doctor and Jamie' so yeah...

I'm sure that the chapters I'm putting up now will get revised in the future as I'm coming up with new ideas when I edit them into 'flashbacks' for Tangled Web.

Currently moving into the second Doctor's second season.... and Tomb of the Cybermen. I've been having a lot of wacky thoughts about this... Including the 9th Doctor's increasingly strong desire to -- alter his past. Heavens, could you imagine?

I've got this scene in my head of he and Rose spotting the 2nd Doctor and Jamie at somepoint when Rich has been hauled off to a Slam and they are trying to meet someone that claims to have info that might help them get him out. And the what if is -- what if that contact meets the wrong Doctor?

Oh, but Should I?

The current chapter is shaping up to be 65 pages or 25 thousand plus words long... wow. I'm on page 49 so there's another 16 pages to rework. Been plugging away on this for days now. These long chapter really take a lot out of you. And yet... I can't imagine chopping them into smaller sections. I'm happy with this format, even if it takes so much longer to get the chapers out. It's funny, I don't get nearly the readers for All About or How to Catch and yet I think I spend more effort and time on them for each chapter. Haha.

Ah well. I guess I'll go watch the video again. :-D

I've got this scene rattling about in my brain. I'll post a bit here just to bounce it off folks.

I'm envisioning this for after the situation with River is taken care of, meaning the Doctor has gotten rid of the parasite, found the folks that hurt River and is traveling with Rose, River, Richard and Jacob.

The 9th doctor stops at a station - Riddick gets taken in by Mercs. (this happens in the past, to fit in with Into Pitch Black). While looking for clues someone offers to sell him some information. The sale is to take place at another outpost, so the Doctor travels there, not realizing that it's someplace he's been before. (chalk it up to his being distraught over Rich's capture).

Meanwhile the 2nd Doctor and Jamie are trying to get back to where they left Victoria (this would be after the Two Doctors bit, and the 2nd Doctor is not quite himself yet. They are supposed to meet someone to return the remote (this someone would be Romana, not that the 2nd Doctor knows it). They land on the station where the meeting is supposed to take place and run into the person with the information about where Rich has been taken. This individual has been told to deliver the packet to "The Doctor" without much other detail.

Can you see how this might go? Is it a good idea or a bad one?
