"Help!" water closed over Stormpaw's head. Falling down a steep hill and into a deep and wide river wasn't something your usual apprentice would do. Twolegs are crazy, swimming in water for fun! he sunk, but kicked his way up again. Now his hind paws were getting tired. "I need to get out of here!" he gasped out as he once again sunk. He kicked to the river bank and made it just in time before dragged himself onto a sheltered spot of grass where he wouldn't be washed away into the river again. His world faded to darkness.

"That's true," Starfur shrugged. Maplefur's ears twitched.

"Hey, did you guys hear something?"

Ambertail glanced at her friend. "No. Why?"

"I thought I heard something... It's there again!" Maplefur rushed off in the direction she heard the cries, Starfur and Ambertail speeding off after her. They left Tigerfoot. Maplefur raced up the steep hill, then skidded to a halt at the top. Her claws sunk into the ground, but it was too steep. She, against her will, tumbled down the hill and into a deep, wide river. "Help!" she sunk into the river. Her head bobbed up, and caught sight of Stormpaw's limp body. "Stormpaw!"

"Where?" Starfur was prepared and didn't end up rolling down the hill, but she was ready to jump in.

"Mouse-brain!" Ambertail hissed, blocking Starfur's way. "I don't want to have to rescue you, too!" being a fairly good swimmer, Ambertail leaped into the river, Starfur watching in awe. She pulled Maplefur to safety, huffing. Ambertail glared at her. "You idiot! You could've drowned!"

"I saw Stormpaw!"

"Where?"

"There!"

Ambertail followed Maplefur's gaze to a limp, gray-pelted shape. "Stormpaw!"

Moonheart padded along beside Twigpaw."Now,what herb is best for rat bites?"she asked.

While Twigpaw was looking thoughtful,Moonheart pricked her ears towards the river near SnowClan territory.She could of sworn she heard a cry for help...

"Burdock Root!"

Moonheart jumped at Twigpaw's sudden answer."Uh,right.Good.Twigpaw,do you hear that?"She pricked her ears again towards the river.Now she could've sworn she heard it this time."I think someone's in trouble!"Moonheart bunched her muscles and darted toward the river.

"Huh?Wait!"Twigpaw bounded after her.

When the river was in sight,Moonheart slowed and peered down the steep slope at the water's edge.Maplefur,Starfur,and Ambertail were crouching beside a clump of grass by the water.

"What's going on?"she asked in alarm when she stopped next to the three.

"Well," Ambertail started, "first we were going to go on patrol before we heard a cry of help-"

"I heard it first!" Maplefur but in. Ambertial flicked her tail.

"Well, whatever. Maplefur heard a cry, and then we did. This stupid excuse for a cat"- Maplefur glared at Ambertail as she flicked her tail at her. -"rushed up a hill and slipped into the river behind us. I jumped in to save her and we saw this apprentice lying here."

Twigpaw glanced up. He put a paw on Stormpaw. "He's not dead, though, is he?" he wasn't sure whether his own skills were good enough. Starfur merely watched in silence.

Huh? I thought Tigerfoot was there too... Hmm :/

*shrugs*

"No,but close to it."

Moonheart propped the apprentice up and he vomited up water."Help me."she meowed to the watching cats as she started to lick Stormpaw's fur in the opposite direction.

Twigpaw licked Stormpaw's fur the wrong way. Maplefur and Starfur licked rapidly, while Ambertail at more a slower pace. She stepped back when it got a little crowded for her and moved around the group of cats and find a spot where she wouldn't be pushed around.

"Stormpaw!" Twigpaw called.

Stormpaw was roused. He jumped to his paws, panting heavily, then collapsed. Maplefur caught him just in time as Stormpaw's legs failed underneath him. "I think he's still in shock," Twigpaw murmured. Glancing up to Moonheart, he asked, "Are we going to take him back to camp?"

Moonheart nodded."Yes."she meowed.

I can't think of anything else to put! O.o

It's 'Kay ^-~; Let's say they're back at camp already.

Stormpaw had started to calm down. His breathing slowly, and they became long, deep breaths. Twigpaw tipped his head to one side and faced Moonheart. "Would we give him thyme for the shock, or do we just leave him?"

Maplefur and Starfur cast a worried glance at each other. Ambertail remained silent.

Moonheart glanced at Stormpaw and shook her head."He'll be fine,"she meowed.

Twigpaw didn't look convinced. "Should we keep him warm, then?" he asked, sitting down a few mouselengths away from his best friend.

REVIVAL! =P

Tigerfoot returned from the Leader's den. He had raced off after they had found the missing apprentice to tell his worried Clan-mates. He sat under the cover of an over-hanging tree that was situated near the ravine leading to the camp.

Ambertail stalked out of camp. Sometimes, she just hated the way Maplefur acted, with that stuck-up, goody-goody, smug attitude. She figured that a nice, long hunt would do her good a relieve some stress, while giving the Clan some food to eat at the same time. What a productive way to spend her stress-relief time.

As she headed out of camp, she caught sight of a cat.

Tigerfoot gave himself a quick lick when he caught sight of another cat coming towards him. Taking a closer look, he noticed a distinctive coat. "Hello, Ambertail! Would you like to hunt together?" The deputy smiled lightly when he noticed her pace quicken to meet up with him.

A grin spread across Ambertail's face. "Sure thing. Let's go!"

"Alright, where shall we go?" Tigerfoot asked once they had left the camp out of their sight. "I thought you could choose where to hunt, since you seem to know the best spots."

Ambertail looked embarassed. "Er... how about near that small pool? It's got plenty of greenery and hiding spots there."

I forgot what DawnClan territory looks like xD

It's tropical-ish.

"True. I found some fat mice over there a few sunrises ago." Tigerfoot said before silencing himself. "Erm... Ambertail? There's been something I've wondered about for a while now and... well I need to talk to you to get the answer." Tigerfoot veered off the path to the pool and under a beautiful and shiny fern; placed perfectly overlooking the rest of the territory. He gestured for her to join him. "I guess you could call this a perfect spot for what I need to ask of you..."

Oh, okay then! Thanks!

Ambertail's tail flicked patiently, and she was nodding slowly. "Sure?"

His pelt warmed as she placed herself next to him. "Well, Ambertail. This has got to be the first time I've felt this way; about any she-cat." Tigerfoot closed his eyes and inwardly sighed. Can't stop now... "It's just that, you're really special to me. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love you, Ambertail." The tabby's head turned away, expecting the upcoming rejection.

Ambertail blinked slowly as Tigerfoot turned away. She lowered her head, her pelt prickling underneath the heat. "... I - I think I'll just come out and say it straight away." She paused. "I feel the same way as you."

His head turned sharply to meet her answer. He couldn't think of anything to say, so he didn't. Inseatd he just pressed himself up against her and curled his tail around her's.

Ambertail twined her tail with his.

Maplefur's eyes narrowed with hatred.

Name: Icepelt

Description: White tabby tom; ice blue eyes. Rumored to be blind but really isn't.

Personality: Despite his name, Icepelt is a friendly cat. He is known for sneaking into SnowClan teritorry, simply because he blends in. A good friend and comfort to Maplefur and sometimes Ambertail.

"It's just amazing that you feel the same. I thought you didn't like me at all." He murmmured quietly.

Icepelt crept quietly up behind Maplefur. He poked her flank with his tail and grinned. "Hi Maplefur!"

Ambertail gave a small smile. "I thought the same. Truth me told, I was a little shocked when you said that."

"Hi Maplefur!" Ambertail flinched and whipped around. The bushes rustled. Her eyes narrowed, and she prodded Tigerfoot with her paw, then jerked her head in the direction of the rustling bushes. She signaled to Tigerfoot to follow her as she crept slowly around the pool and into the ferns in the undergrowth, where her scent was masked.

"I think Maplefur was watching us," Ambertail said in the lowest whisper to Tigerfoot.

Maplefur cringed. Now her cover was blown. She glanced around to see Icepelt. Then back to where Tigerfoot and Ambertail were - or, had once been. Maplefur's eyes narrowed. That sneaky piece of fox dung! "Hi." Maplefur said simply.

"Oh, that's not what we need." Tigerfoot mused quietly. His large head looked back in the direction.

"Something wrong? Were you hunting? Did I scare the prey?" Icepelt prodded her with a few questions.

Ambertail murmured agreement.

"Um... Yeah. That." Maplefur said quickly when she recieved a skeptical look.

"You know what? I'm quite bored. Let's waste my bordom on hunting." Tigerfoot said.

"Oh, sorry. I can help you, if you want; to catch another...?"

Ambertail still looked uneasy, but nodded in response. "'Kay. Let's go."

Maplefur racked her brain. "A... Erm... Thrush..."

"Alright, I'll head to the right, you head left?" Tigerfoot offered, giving her the prey-rich side.

"Alright! I'm pretty good at those!" Icpelt grinned and turned around, quietly pushing through the brush.

She looked a little calmer. She gave a nod. "Alright. Meet you back at here, when? Sundown?" She glanced at the once, which was beginning to set. "It's not too far away. It should give us a fair bit of time to hunt."

Maplefur sighed. Her cover had nearly been blown. Then, her pelt prickled with hatred as she remembered that. She'd never exactly liked Ambertail, and she'd personally though that she'd done a good job of pretending to be Ambertail's best friend. Yet, after all that hard work, was it going to fail?

She sighed, shaking away her thoughts. She picked through the undergrowth silently after Icepelt.
