Darkstone rolled his eyes. Thunderfang secretly his as Darkstone settled himself down in front of Pearlstone. "So, what?"

This tom with get payback! Thunderfang narrowed his eyes. Then, he felt a jab in his side. He whipped around to face Jadepaw. "Get- Uh, I'm kind of busy right not. Do you mind leaving me alone?"

"Hunting!" Sunpaw raced out of the den. "I'mgoinghuntingsowhowantstocomewithme?"

"Slow down!" Shadowpaw urged. "Could you say it more slowly?"

"I'm. Going. Hunting. So. Who. Wants. To. Come. With. Me?" she broke up each word.

"Uh, sure?"

Sunpaw nudged him out of the den. "WE'RE GOING HUNTING!" she yelled to alert any nearby warriors. The two sped out of camp, but skidded to a halt as they made it a few paces. They raced back to the apprentices' den and called, "who else wants to come?"

Ya! Grandma likes me again! =D

"Um...I've told the 'friend' about what you said, and..." Pearlstone glanced off, a faint shade of red crossed her muzzle area.

Riverpaw was in a fit of laughter, "I-I do!"

Jadepaw padded over to the group, flicking her tail in good-bye at Thunderfang.

"I'll come,"she mewed, suddenly turning back to her shy self.

"Sweet! We're outta here!" Sunpaw raced out of the camp entrance, the other three apprentices speeding after them.

Fallpaw raised his head to see that the den was empty. "Have fun. Bring me back a vole." he muttered, then rested his head on his paws.

Thunderfang sighed in relief. He trotted to the middle of the clearing. Thank goodness Sunpaw hadn't confronted him. She would have raised the alarm. Sunpaw was a good apprentice, listening to her mentor all the time, but she could also be annoying. He sighed to himself again. "Thank StarClan."

Sunpaw sneezed.

Shadowpaw glanced at her. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah. I think some cat's just slandering me, that's all. Now, I'm gonna catch me a squirrel!" Sunpaw bounded ahead, jumping into a clump of ferns under a long line of trees with acorns amongst their roots. A squirrel anxiously came down to pick up a few acorns, one by one. Then, Sunpaw pounced and caught. She threw it into the ferns she had been hiding in. "We should put our prey in that clump of ferns here"- she flicked her tail to her previous hiding spot so the others would know -"so just remeber that."

Darkstone raised his eyebrow. "And?"

Don't you mean Jadepaw?

Jadepaw snuck up on a vole grooming itself.She rocked back and forth on her haunches before leaping and dispatching the vole in one swipe.She padded up to the fern patch and set her catch next to Sunpaw's squirrel.She turned to Shadowpaw and cocked her head.

"Do you know how to hunt?"she asked him quietly.

Huh? For what?

Shadowpaw slowly shook is head. "No, I don't."

Sunpaw perked up. "Hey, where'd Riverpaw go? More importantly, why the heck didn't Fallpaw come with us? It was supposed to be an all-apprentice expedition?"

"Really? You didn't mention it," Shadowpaw pointed it.

Sunpaw blinked. "I didn't?"

"No."

"... Okay, then. Jadepaw, is it okay if you teach Shadowpaw how to hunt? I want to found out where Riverpaw went..." Sunpaw sped off without Jadepaw's reply.

"Okay'"Jadepaw mewed.

She led Shadowpaw into a clearing as Sunpaw bounded off to look for Riverpaw.She immediately dropped into the hunter's crouch,her paws silent on the forest floor.

"Try to concentrate on not making a sound.Step as lightly as possibly,and watch out for twigs or leaves that could give you away."Jadepaw stopped,rocked on her haunches,and sprang on a rock.

"Try it."she meowed.

Shadowpaw repeated Jadepaw's movements, nearly slipped off the rock. He jumped off sheepishly and waited for Jadepaw's comment.

"Great StarClan, Riverpaw's probably playing hide-and-seek with me!" Sunpaw muttered, rolling her eyes. "But she's been gone for quite some time. Maybe she's found a great place, crawling with prey?" she licked her lips.

"Try again."she meowed.Then added,"Don't get embarrassed.You only slipped.Prey isn't slippery."

Shadowpaw nodded. He crept closer towards the rock and bunched his muscles. With a mighty jump, he leaped on top of the rock. His claws retracting and unsheathing repeatedly in satisfaction.

"Good",Jadepaw meowed,"Now lets try it on real prey."

She got up and flicked her tail as a signal to follow before padding into the woods.

Shadowpaw pricked his heads. He tapped Jadepaw on the shoulder with his tail and angled his ears toward the source of the noise when she turned to glance at him. It didn't sound like a mouse. "What is it?" his voice was barely a whisper. If it was a bird, maybe he'd practiced the wrong crouch.

Personality: Snappy yet sincere. Looks to both sides of an argument and favors the friend, whether they be correct or not. Stealthy and chosen commonly to assess apprentices.

Riverpaw grinned and launched at a small sparrow. The gray-brown bird cried out as she cracked its neck. The alarm call fell on hearing ears as a few birds fluttered off from the trees. "No more birds for me." The slate blue she-cat prowled onward, eyes darting for prey or other cats.

Viperfang nodded once as he looked at the burried sparrow. His Leader sent him out to follow the apprentices in an assesment. Even if he was not mentor to any of them, he was stealthy enough to track them without them finding him. He tracked Riverpaw on, detecting a faint trace of Shadowpaw and Jadepaw's scent.

Shadowpaw buried his last catch, which just happened to be a vole. He thought he might save it for Fallpaw, if the elders and queens didn't snatch it first. That had been his third catch, and he was beginning to get excited.

He heard a rustling in the bushes.

Grinning, Shadowpaw crept up as quiet as he could. Then, slowly, he dragged her paw forward. Then, he leaped, sinking his claws into -

"Ow! Get off!"

Shadowpaw, with wide eyes, stumble back of the cat. "Wh-who are you!" Then, the cat he saw was holding a mouse. "AH! PREY STEALER!"

"You lump of fur! Can't you do anything right!" Riverpaw ranted until she noticed who it was. "Oh, Shadowpaw? I thought it was Fallpaw or one of the others pouncing on me." She gave herself a few licks to smooth her ruffled fur. Her gaze rested on his. "Have you caught anything yet?"

Viperfang had heard the yowl Riverpaw cried and quickly yet silently loped over. He examined the two apprentices and smiled inwardly. Riverpaw doesn't realize how much she enjoys his company.

"I caught a sparrow a few badger-lengths back. I just caught this mouse under this oak." Riverpaw pointed behind her with her tail, towards the spot Viperfang was hiding.

"Sorry," Shadowpaw looked embarrassedly at his paws. "I caught a mouse, a vole, and a thrush. But that's all..." Then his eyes lightened up. "Cool. Want to hunt together?"

"Sure! Two cats working together can bring in a whole heap of prey! They've gotta make us warriors then!" Riverpaw exclaimed. "Now, where'd you hunt? I was, like I pointed, hunting back there."

Viperfang stiffened as the slate-blue she-cat's tail pointed at him. If they find me it's game over. His fur relaxed once Riverpaw somewhat suggested to go the other way.

"Yeah, okay! Let's go!" Shadowpaw ran after Riverpaw.

Darkstone flicked his tail impatiently.

"Awesome!" Riverpaw said. She and him kept of towards the area of the sun-sink place (Basically, the hill where the sun goes down).

Viperfang followed the two apprentices, eyes rollig.

"She want's to meet you by the Sacred Pine in the middle of our territory at sunhugh tomorrow. That's where you'll find out who she is." Pearlstone explained to him. She nodded once and turned around, slipping back into the warrior's den and passing Thunderfang. "I just arranged to meet him. Did ya hear?" she asked.

Shadowpaw just nodded, beaming. As soon as the two reached the hills, Shadowpaw could see the moorland stretching onwards into an unknown territory. He merely blinked before recapturing his reason of being here. "Okay then, let's hunt! I'll see if I can find some rabbits."

Darkstone was about to open his mouth to argue, but Pearlstone just nodded and left. He blinked slowly before shrugging off, coming to the agreement with his conscience that he would keep his word to keep Pearlstone's friend. After all, what else was there to do besides hunt and patrolling?

Good-hunt = Prey best caught by a cat.

"Alright. I'll go opposite and search for sparrows. They're my good-hunt prey." She nodded slipped into a fern. Her ears pricked as she waited for sound. A pecking sounded just to the right. She gently pushed the bush out of the way to look at the sparrow. Its back was to her and the wind was perfect. She quietly creeped forward, barely missing a twig. She positioned herself and jumped. The bird let out a call and flew into the air, but Riverpaw jumped high enough to grab its wing. pinning it down, she delivered a deathbite.

"Nice catch, Riverpaw. Now let's see what Shadowpaw is doing." Viperfang backed away and headed in the direction Shadowpaw dissapeared in.

Pearlstone's eyes glimmered happily as she curled into her nest. It might have been a little early, but she planned to go out and sleep near the Sacred Oak so she could wait there for Darkstone. Eyes closing, she breathed deeply and enjoyed her little time to sleep.

Shadowpaw launched himself into the air and took a swipe at the thrush. As it fell, he caught it with his teeth and landed with a light thud on the weeds that were growing on the ground. He breathed a sigh of relief. He'd decided to take a hike through some nearby forest area before taking a trip onto the moor.

He decided to bury his fresh-kill in front of the nearby rock. He'd remember this place before he camp back to camp. Shadowpaw lightly trotted out of the forestry, winding in and out of trips and climbing over tree roots until he reached the moor.

Right at that moment, he spot a rabbit. Lucky. He sniffed the air to check for any scent markers, but there were none. He crept up slowly...

Until a lithe body dashed right up to the rabbit and killed with a bite to the throat. He was about to call out, but when he realized it wasn't Riverpaw, he wasn't sure what to do.

What's more, he didn't smell LeafClan scent on the cat at all. Prey stealer!

Viperfang let out a growl and emerged from the growth and ran towards the thief. "What do you think you are, a badger or a cat?!" he snarled in the face of the frightened warrior.

Riverpaw let out a yowl and charged up beside Shadowpaw, scenting. "What do they think they're doing here?"

The cats didn't seem to smell like Clan cats to Shadowpaw, though. "Rogues...?" he whispered, though, unfortunately, loud enough for the cats to hear. The one at the front hissed, baring his teeth. His coat was ragged.

"Joy." Viperfang muttered. Another, a she-cat with a tangled night black coat, snarled and jumped at Riverpaw. The blue she-cat battered the older cat, but was losing. A different cat appeared. The first cat snarled, "Lyder, grab that cat." The brown tabby, Lyder, growled and pounced on Shadowpaw. The leader hurtled himself at Viperfang.

Shadowpaw narrowed his eyes. How dare they attack a she-cat first! They should know better than that! He snarled and lashed out at the cat called Lyder, then used his back legs to kick Lyder off of him. Lyder went flying over Shadowpaw's head before landing on the ground. Shadowpaw raced up as fast as he could and jumped back at the last second when Lyder lashed out his claws. Lyder kept lashing, driving Shadowpaw backwards.

Once Lyder lashed out once more, Shadowpaw tangled his paws with Lyder's outstretched paw at the last moment and overturned Lyder.

Shadowpaw raked his claws down Lyder's back, until Lyder retaliated by giving Shadowpaw a deep gash on his muzzle. He became distracted, and Lyder took the chance to lunge.

However, Shadowpaw was managed to dodge out of the way at the last second.

Java - Jay-va

"Java, how you doing with that thing?" The leader yowled.

Riverpaw nipped the she-cat's, Java's, hide legs. "Not so good Boss. Get Rike." Riverpaw clamed her teeth in the larger cat's scruff.

Shadowpaw lashed out, making blood pour out of Lyder's ear. Lyder backed off, hissing. "Boss, this isn't going so well." But before he knew it, Shadowpaw had launched himself at the leader to try and buy Viperfang some time.

"Quick! Let's pile on one and eliminate them one by one!" Shadowpaw howled.

"Alright!" Riverpaw cried. She gave Java a blow so she could escape over to Boss. She lashed out, scraping his nose. Viperfang slithered out from under him and nipped his hind legs. Java prowled up behind them and lauched herself on Viperfang, hissing and spitting. Rike, a large furry gray tom, came from behind a bush.

"You called?" Rike spat, eyeing the other cats.

Sorry I haven't been here in days! I went on a three-day vacation 8D

Shadowpaw jumped off Boss and lashed out again, trying to distract him so Riverpaw and Viperfang could throw in a slash or two.

"There are too many!" Viperfang howled as Rike came to attack him, Java at the other rouge's side. Riverpaw clunge fiercly to the base of Boss' tail. He lashed out, twisting his body to do so. Boss swiped over Riverpaw's eyes, barely missing them. She yowled and lost her grip on his tail. Viperfang battered Java and hissed, nipping at Rike when he came near.

"Shadowpaw, help me!" He yowled out to the apprentice, giving Rike a nip on the paw when it came near.

Ditto my last post... xD

Shadowpaw had disappeared into the undergrowth, stalking up and down and waiting for a chance to attack. As soon as Rike can close to him, he flung himself out of the brushes and onto Rike's back, digging his claws deep into Rike's fur. Rike howled and tried to shake Shadowpaw off. Shadowpaw clung as though his life depended on it.

Even though it probably did.
