Gemstar paded into the Nursery so she could check on her Kits.

They Flykit bounded up to her,"Mommy!Mommy!Guess what?!"

"What?"

"I caught a mouse!"Flykit said proudly.

Gemstar let out a mrrow,"You're turning into quite the hunter!"

Didn't you know it's agaisnt the Warrior Code for kits to hunt? I read in one of the books about Cloudkit catching some prey and him getting scolded by Fireheart because it was against the Warrior Code, although I forgot which book it was. It may have been Forest of Secrets or Fire and Ice in the first Saga of Warriors.

Leafwind stretched in the night. His sleep had been good, although Gemstar still hadn't told the Clan who would be going to the Gathering and who wasn't. His dusky brown pelt was dull, and his amber eyes shone with excitement at the thought of going to the Gathering.

Stop it, Leafwind! you know you might not be going to the Gathering! Gemstar might take some other people, Leafwind thought to himself.

"Hi, Leafwind!" Lightwind came bounding over to her from the camp entrance and dropping a vole at her feet. "Eat up! After all, we might be going to the Gathering!"

"Yes, that's true, but what if we don't?" Leafwind meowed sadly.

"Well, it'll always be a big task guarding the camp!" Lightwind added.

Leafwind brightened up a bit. "Yeah, you might be right! Thanks, Lightwind!"

"Sure, anytime." Lightwind walked into the warriors' den to get some rest before she headed off to the Gathering, if he was chosen.

"Oh, it's such a shame I have to stay in here all day!" Moonflower complained.

"But mommy, aren't you going to be happy about me being an apprentice soon?" Bluekit reminded her mother.

"Yes, I know, you're right, and I'm very proud of you, but I just want to get out of this nursery once in a while." Moonflower meowed.

I don't have that book..but lets just say that Gemstar was from the HorsePlace and doesn't know that yet... -.-' ...or I don't...

Windkit watched them talk for a bit before pading up to Bluekit.

"Hi, Gemstar!" Bluekit chirped.

Windkit pawed Bluekit's hind leg,smileing lightly.

"Yes, Gemstar!" Bluekit replied, rolling around with Windkit.

Windkit pawed at Bluekit's right eye.

Flykit jumped at his sister and tackled her.

Bluekit giggled, then sneezed. Her mother looked at Gemstar. "My, isn't it time for the Gathering?"

GATHERING TIME: GET ALL YOUR CLANMANTES, LEADERS, AND HEAD OFF THE TWINFALLS TO START THE MEETING. MOONRISE IS HERE AND STARCLAN IS WAITING FOR ALL OF YOU.

"It is!Now,Flykit,Windkit,behave!"

"Don't worry, Gemstar, I can look after them." Moonflower offered.

"Yay! Gathering! Windkit, Flykit, it'll be our turn in a few moons!" Bluekit mewed.

"Thank you Moonflower!"Gemstar left the Nursey and gathered up her Clan.

"So, Windkit, Flykit, are you excited about becoming apprentices soon?" Moonflower asked, washing Bluekit.

"Yeah!"The both said.

"I wanna be Flyclaw!"

"I wish to be Windflower..."

"Wow, you sound pretty excited to become warriors, but first, you have to pass training as an apprentice." Moonflower reminded them.

"I want to be Bluestream when I'm a warrior!" Bluekit chirped.

"Well, you just better hope Gemstar gives you that name." Moonflower let out a mrrrow of laughter.

"I know...but that can't be hard...can it?"Windkit asked.

Flykiy rolled his eyes and tackled his Sister.

"Who knows, it just might be!" Moonflower meowed. She nudged Bluekit towards Windkit and Flykit. "Go and have fun, I'll keep an eye on you,"

"Okay!" Bluekit chirped pawing Flykit playfully and giggling.

Flykit eyed her and then pawed Bluekit.Windkit tackled her brother.

Personality: Shy, friendly.

Looks: A white she-cat with ginger patches, green eyes.

Swiftkit didn't have a mother anymore, since her moter died. She was all alone and didn't have any friends. Bluekit scrambled up to her. "Hi! What's your name?"

"Swiftkit," she replied.

"Where's your mother?" Bluekit gazed around the nursery.

"She... She died..." Swiftkit stammered.

"Well, then why don't you come and play with the rest of us?" Bluekit lead the way to Flykit and Windkit, Swiftkit trailing after her.

"Who's that?"Flykit asked,looking at Swiftkit.

"This is Swiftkit! She says she doesn't have anyone to look after he apart from the apprentices and warriors on duty." Bluekit said.

"Oh, you poor thing!" Moonflower picked up Swiftkit by the scruff and gave her a quick wash.

Windkit just stayed away from the newcomer.

"I'm fine my myself. I don't want to disturb anyone," Swiftkit mewed shyly.

Moonflower let her go, and Swiftkit scrambed back to her little corner lined with moss, doing her best to stay away from the three.

"Oh, I though she would be happier," Bluekit said sadly.

"Yeah..."Flykit said.

"She must get cold at night." Bluekit added. "Isn't she lonely? She must really look like it. What do you think, Flykit? Windkit?"

"I dunno..."Windkit said.

"I think she's just shy..."Flykit said.

"Do you think she really should come and play with us?" Bluekit looked worried.

"If she wants to,yeah!"Flykit said.Windkit just stood away,being her shy self.

"Swiftkit! Come and play with us!" Bluekit called.

Swiftkit didn't reply. She was nestled up inside her moss-bedded nest on a low ledge, sleeping soundly.

"Oh, maybe she should sleed..." Bluekit replied.

??? Bluekit didn't say anything else to herself.

Right, now into the role-play! They'll be lots of different scenes playing, so it might get a bit confusing... Okay, maybe a lot.

Blackrain yawned numerously as the cats made their way back to camp. She followed behind Gemstar, falling behind when her paws tripped over vines and tree roots, but she managed to keep up with the rest of the returning group. Dawn broke as soon as the cats entered the camp, and Blackrain felt relieved that she could finally go to sleep.

"They're back! They're back!" Bluekit cried to Flykit and Windkit. "I wonder what happened?"

Wavefoot let out a sign of exasperation. "They're finally back! I wonder what happened at the Gathering?" Just as he finished Blackrain headed over towards him. "Hey, Blackrain! What happened at the Gathering?"

She shrugged. "Nothing much. But they had some kits in JewelClan while everyone was at the Gathering, so the medicine cats of FeatherClan and CrystalClan had to tend to a JewelClan queen."

"Sounds interesting, but let's hope we don't have to fight those kits when they grow up." Wavefoot's vain attempt to lighten up the mood slightly worked.

Blackrain yawned, and Wavefoot knew that she must be sleepy. "Well, we'll probably be in the elders' den before they can become good warriors," Blackrain's voice was dismissal, and Wavefoot gave a small nod before trailing out of the den, while Blackrain headed in. The she-cat curled up in an empty nest, warming it up with her fur before she could fall asleep. Wavefoot headed out of the den.

Personality: Calm and uncerstanding. Maybe the best fisher the forest had been blessed with.

Ashtail purred slightly as she stepped by the nursery. The kits had bounded out.

"Hi Ashtail! How was it?" Flykit questioned in excitement.

"It was good." the deputy replied.

Great!

Bluekit looked up at Ashtail with shining eyes. "What happened at the Gathering?"

"Now, now, you three. You shouldn't be bothering cats when they have better things to do." Moonflower bowed her head to give each kit a quick lit, even though Flykit and Windkit were not her own kits. She glanced at Ashtail, a bright smile on her face.

"It's no problem..." Ashtail replied. She licked her paw and ran it over her ear a few times.

Nooo! My internet crashed on me for a second and now I have to work on my post all over again -Grimace- I'm mad... I'm shortening it this time!

Moonflower let out a sign of exasperation as she watched the kits settle down in front of Ashtail to hear the story. Before she headed back off into the nursery, she called over to her kits, "And remember, if Ashtail has anything she needs to do, don't pester her to stay!"

"Now, the gathering was nice. Several cats, just fun!" Ashtail's...erm...tail curled up in amusement, "And something exciting happened! A JewelClan queen had kits during the gathering!"

"You mean she went to the gathering?" Bluekit wondered.

"No! She was at their camp and an apprentice came. Speaking of which, you kits are going to become apprentices soon!"

"Oh, I can't wait!" Bluekit squealed. Her ears suddenly pricked, and then she saw Swiftkit make her way over to the small group. She flickered a glance at the other four cats, then settled down away from Bluekit, Flykit, Windkit and Ashtail to listen.

"Oh?" Ashtail glanced at the kit, "Do you want to come over? I'm sure they want a new friend!" Flykit and Windkit chirpped in agreement.

Windkit looked behind him/herself and smiled as Ashtail spoke of things that the leaders and cats spoke about.

"I wished I'd gone," Bluekit sighed dreamily. She saw a tail waving in front of her, and she jerked back in surprise. Swiftkit couldn't suppress a small giggle, and she exchanged a glance with Windkit. She looked up at Ashtail with admiration as the deputy continued on with her story. When I grow up, I'd like to be deputy.

This was the first time Swiftkit has such fun with other kits. She (?) was enjoying herself (?) for the first time ever - it was the first time the other kits had welcomed her (?) into their little group, too. She (?) felt... happy.
