It was a normal day like Any other, Olivia, a tall girl, tan skin long brown hair with a side bang and blue eyes who was about 20 walked around her apartment in her PJ's.

She stretched and looked out the window, it was a quiet day. She liked it. She took a sip of coffee. she looked over at her bedroom door which was open, on her bed was her new badge and jsut some casual work clothes.

Today she started her CSI work. Her first day. she smiled at the thought, excited to finally do what she's always wanted to do. hopefully enough nothing went wrong today. she shook her head 'what could' she thought as she went into her room change into a red shirt jeans and a pair of sneakers, she tucked her work cloths, a typical button up blouse and black pants with heels into her bag just in case. Her lunch was packed and she looked at the wacth.

"right on time" she said outloud as she grabbed her bag and went outside to her car, and went on her way.

~that night~

"bye Fred see you tomorrow" she told her partner as he left. The whole office was quiet as she put away the last of her papers, she was the last one there. she turned off the lights as she left she looked and saw Fred's car still there.

She went towards it, the window was rolled down

"what are you sti..." she trailed off and gasped as she saw a dead body in the car. She reached for it slowly and he grabbed her arm. She gasped then screamed when he turned his head towards her, his eyes were rolled back into his head and his skin was decaying, he moaned and tried to bite her arm but she yanked it away. the car door opened and he fell out slowly getting to his feet as she backed away from him. he cornered her and she put her hand on her gun getting ready to shoot. She took it out and pointed it at him her hands shaking,She pulled the trigger slowly and got him in the head.He fell to the floor and blood poured out from him. She put a hand on her mouth keeping her from screaming. She backed away slowly dropping her gun on the floor. She and looked over at her Bag. She ran over to it and grabbed it. HSe opened it and grabbed out her utility belt and keys. She then rummaged through it quickly and took out her cellphone. She sighed in relief and dropped the purse putting it in her pocket, lucky for her she remembered to change back into her normal clothes.. She looked at the dead body then back at her gun scared to walk back. She quickly ran jumping over the body grabbing her gun and then slowly stepping away and running out of the parking lot.

Max was on his way home from work. He was window shopping, dreaming of the day that he'd have the money to buy that stuff after collage. Eventually he got back to his apartment and went inside.

"Such a long day.........I don't think I can handle work and college any longer." He sighed and sat down on his couch.

olivia walked on the street, looking up at the sky trying to spot the stars but she had no luck cause the night was cloudy and pretty chilly, she shivered slightly as the wind hit her. she looked through her pockets and found her house key, she ran to her apartment not worrying about crashing into anybody because there was nobody to crash into. the streets we're empty and abandoned liek a gost town at hte moemnt even thoguh there were more or less 4 or 5 people on the street who were achually "normal" what ever that was.

She ran up the stair and opened her door urgently running into her house slamming the door and locking all the doors, she ran to the windows and closed them all locking then. she put down her utility belt nad walked into her room picking out a random black jacket and slipping it on she looked around and spotted her drawer of weapons that had been set up in her house after teh training was over. she opened it nad looked around at the guns with flashlights and otheer things. SHe sighed and took a deep breath.

(Wouldn't it be weeeeird if their apartments were next door to each other?)

Alex sat on his couch eating a bowl of kraft dinner that he had just made. There was a thud outside his door. He put down his bowl and walked over to it and looked through the eyehole.

"$hit, I'm not opening this." He muttered as he grabbed for a kitchen knife. The zombie still persisted on getting into the room. Alex grabbed the handle and turned it, then pulled the door open. The zombie rushed through and went for Alex's throat. He quickly pushed the zombie away and jammed the knife into it's skull. He grabbed the zombie and threw it out his door and slammed it shut.

Olivia put all her things away, there were scracthes at the door, she raised an eyebrow

"is that a dog??" she asked as she looked out of her bedroom door.

She walked over to the door and looked to see who it was. She gasped. Another thing. She thought about it for a second, ah thats it, they were called zombie's they were always in most horror movies. She opened the door slowly shot it in the head with one shot of her gun and watched it fall to the floor. She closed it as soon as she was sure he was dead. Which was stupid.

She looked around the room kinda hungry for something random, She grabbed a bag of chips and nacho cheese dip and went into the living room. She kicked off her shoes and threw herself on her couch eating her chips while watching TV. SHe put the volume on the TV high up so she wouldn't have to hear the weird noises coming from the hallway.

Alex heard a knock on his door, "Police! Open this door right now!"

"Ah **." Alex said as he got up and walked to the door, and opened it.

"So, can you tell me about this dead body?"

"Uhhh, it's the living dead sir!"

"You know how stupid that sounds right? Your going to be in jail for awhile."

"Your going to be dead!" Alex called out as a zombie wrapped his arms around the officer. He yelped in pain as the zombie bit out his juggular vain, causing the cop, which killed his speech.

Alex knocked on the next door over. "Olivia, open up!" He had talked to her a few times on his way home from work. Although they had never really gotten together to hang out or anything. They were mostly neighbor friends.

Olivia heard a muffled knocking and someone talking, she wasn't sure if she should open the door or not.

she looked away from the tv and lowered the volume

"who is it!!" she shouted waiting for an answer and hopefully enough it wasn't another angry hungry moan. she kept her hand on her gun just incase.

"Olivia! Open up! It's me! Alex!" He yelled.

Another few zombies were ascending the stairs at the far end of the hallway. He held out his knife and waited to slash.

she got up with gun in hand, she undid the locks and opened the door making sure it wasn't a joke.

"oh. . . " she put her gun down and moved over so he could come in.

Alex ran inside and slammed the door shut, then proceeded to lock them.

"Thanks.....I was beginning to think that you weren't home." He muttered in exhaustion.

kyle run down the street to advode zombie in his and dark like(well not running more like limbing)kyle said to himself damn i have only one pack of 9mm ammo left(it only have 30 bullet)kyle quickly search the area till he found a door cover with zombie looking like there couple of people there no noticeing the freaking gut death eating a**hole so kyle really carefully shot throught the zombie that almost attack and lean on the wall next to the two person then he pop out holding his gun and try to keep his safe zone...

she shook her head

"well we all gotta be careful now and the TV was on high, the noises in the hallway we're creeping me out" she let him come in and sit in the tidy apartment.

"im amazed i haven't rampaged through everything in my house" she laughed and went into her kitchen

"Yeah, mine is kind of dirty. With work and college you don't get much time for anything. Anyways, mind if I sit down for a bit?" Alex asked.

"no knock ourself out!" she shouted from the kitchen

"y'know ,mi casa es tu casa, my house is your house" she said while she rummaged through her kicthen, she heard scratching at her door again, pounding too

"crap.." she murmured to herself.

Alex cleared what little things Olivia kept on her table and stood it up against the door, the he slid one of the couchs against it. "There, now they won't be getting in." He said as he laid down.

she blinked and chuckle

"today was my first day of work at the CSI, i expected my first day to be out of the ordinary but not like this." she shook your head at herslef

"want some hot chocolate or something?" she asked.

"What a coincidence. I'm training to be a CSI right now. I have a few weeks left." He said outloud. "And hot chocolate sounds good."

she nodded and went to the kitchen to prepare the hot coco

"you are?" she asked curiously " i didn't know that " she said as she left the pot with the hot choclate boiling.

"they installed a weapons drawer at my house after the training, did they install it in your house yet??" she asked leaning on the kitchen door.

"The guy was supposed to come over on Tuesday. Guess I don't get my drawer anytime soon." Alex said as he leaned back in the chair. He respected Olivia's hospitality towards him.

she "oh-ed" to herself and poured the hot chocolate into two cups and brought them into the room. she handed him a cup.

"here you go" she said as she flopped down on the couch a few inches away. SHe took a sip of hte hot chocolate then wondered out loud

"how come we're so relaxed?" she asked curiously and thought about a way to answer her own question while taking another sip of hot chocolate.

"I don't know. Nothing can really get through that door now. So we don't need to be tensed up. Could we stay here for a night before we go looking for things tomorrow, since it's so late? Or would you rather us leave?" Alex asked.

she chuckled

"no, i think the house is safer " she smiled at him nad then suddenly her phone rang. SHe looked over to the phone by hte kicthen door, set down her hot chocolate and picked up

"hello?"

"oh Olivia, its aunt Debbie, are you alrighty" asked a voice on the other line.

"im fine aunt, whats the matter?" she asked.

" im sending carla over to your apartment,she needs proper care, she should be there soon take care of -" her aunt was cut off, all she heard was the sound of a window breaking, screaming, then it hung up. Olivia set the phone back in place tehn there was a knock at the door

"olive?" asked the nervous voice of a small girl. Olivia went to the door and begna to move the furniture out of the way.

Alex got up and began helping Olivia move the furniture out of the way of the door. "So who was on the phone?" He asked her.

they moved the last peice of furniture

"my aunt" she said as she opened hte door and a small 9 year old girl ran up to her and hugged her around the hips

"olive whats happening?" the girl asked looking up at her. Loivia smileda little

"go sit on the couch and wait while we move the furniture back kay hun?" she told the small girl, The little girl nodded and went into the living room and olivia peeked into the hall to see who was there.

Alex slammed the door shut and began moving the furniture back in front of it. In a few moments him and Oliva had already stacked everything up how it wa before.

"That was fast." Alex said as he looked at his watch. "Anyways, I think it's a little late. Should we be going to bed now? If we are I call the couch."

she laughed a little

"kay, im just going to explain everything to carla ok" she walked into the living room to hte littel girl sitting there on the couch looking down at her hands.

"Carla?" the little girl looked up and hugged Olivia again

"olive im scared, why did mommy send me here?" she asked curiously. Olivia stroked her hair

"its too dangerous in your big house and well auntie wanted me to take care of you so could you accept it for just a little" she asked bending down so she was face to face with the small girl. The little girl nodded.

"kay well lets sleep kay" she kissed the little girls forehead and she hugged her once again for a while and then hurried into Olivia's room.

"Well then. That's it until morning huh? Alright, I guess I'll go to sleep then." Alex didn't bother even moving, he simply sat down and laid on the floor.

~the next day~

Olivia woke up and looked to her side to see carla sleeping peacefully. She looked out the window but the sky's were gray and the sun wasn't shining. SHe sighed and got up slowly tippy-toeing towards the kitchen so she wouldn't wake up alex.

Alex was already awake, he was sitting on the couch. He got up and walked into the kitchen when he saw Olivia up. "So, how was your sleep?"

"okay, i think Carla probably slept better" she said with a sigh.

" i kept waking up to the loud noises in the hall and screaming and stuff" she murmured rubbing her temples

"Your lucky, I would have been the first target. You would have heard me screaming first. Anyways, should we maybe go find another place to stay? THe apartment isn't exactly that safe of a choice."

she thought for a second " one of my uncles is a drug dealer and his place has a whole defense system with iron stuff that goes on the window, he doesn't use that certain safe house anymore and its good enough so we can use it" she grabbed a pair of keys and a small notepad

"these are the codes to the defense system and these are the keys so we can stay there if its okay" she said

"its two floors with like 3 bedrooms and its really nice so we could stay there its safe, he has a lot of guns and maybe he would let me borrow one of his bodyguards" she shrugged and grabbed a piece of bread out of the toaster.

"It's worth a shot. It's a lot better than here. Two problems though, getting out of this apartment, and getting to his place." Alex explained.

she thought it over " i have the weapons drawer and well it could come in use but getting out of this building wil be a problem, the place is probably sworming with zombie by now unless...." she looked towards the windows to the fire escape

"Hey yeeeeeah. I forgot about the fire escape. We have the getting out part down. What about getting there? Do you have a car?"

She slapped her forehead.

"crap, i left it in my parking lot after the accident i should go back for it while you too wait here." she said going for her car keys.

"No, lets just take another car. Or even better an SUV. I know how to hotwire. Learned it back in my street days." He said in an african gangster tone of voice. (No racism there, since I'm malatto.)

Alex walked over to the window and kicked it down.

"You could have just opened it." Olivia said.

"This way is cooler."

She sighed as he climbed out the window, before falling about seven feet. The fire exit for they're whole floor was missing.

"That felt good." He mumbled in sarcasm.

Olivia looked down and went for Carla. She decided not to disturb the little girls dream so she just picked her up and looked out the window. She lsignaled him to cacth the little girl

" im going to get the weapons!" she shouted loudly enough for him to hear but not to disturb the little girl .

Olivia slowly lowered the young girl down to Alex, he grabbed her and held her for a few moments while Olivia went back for weapons.

Eventually she returned with two weapons, just a couple of handguns, she clicked the safety on then hopped down out of her window. Alex handed Olivia the young child then began decending the ladder of the old broken down fire escape and onto the ground floor. He looked around for a vehicle.

"Hmmmmm, what to take, what to take." He asked himself.

Olivia looked around and pointed at one car

"that one" she whispered slightly so that Carla wouldn't hear her.

Alex nodded and opened it up. He pulled off the ignition cover and began tapping the two wires together. In a few moments the car started.

"Come on Olivia." He said as he pushed open the passenger door.

Olivia Put The sleeping girl in the back seat strapping her in firmly and then got into the passenger seat

"kay lets go"

Alex put his foot down on the gas pedal, the car took off down the road. It seemed that everyone knew what was going on because there were road blocks everywhere.

"**. It looks like we won't be getting out of this city by car. Just where does this guy live anyways?" Alex asked.

Olivia pointed down the road

" See that House over there, The big one, thats his house " she said to him Pointing at the Large fancy house. She rolled her eyes

"Drug dealers" She whispered under her breath to herself.

Alex looked up the hill at the giant house that was sitting on the top. He began driving towards it, in about ten minutes they had made it to the top, the car pulled into the driveway. Both of them got out.

"Nice......house."
