TonkswyrdaTopic: OTT Talks II
well, the original is full, so i thought id make the new one. hopw thats ok with every one :P |
MopCatconsidering i ended the last one, i am PERFECTLY ok with that ^.^ I feel like this should be started with randomness therefore: I hate bottled water. :D |
Cuban Sombrero GalI like bottled water, actually. Especially the flavoured stuff. |
violet-phoenix-roseFlavored bottled water is fine, but unflavored (especially the supermarket brand) tastes kinda strange. Even if you try to disolve 5 or so peppermint Altoids in it - which I tried a few weeks ago cause I was waiting around for something and got bored and was like, "oh, let's see what this does." It doesn't help. |
MopCatWater from the hose taste the best though! |
msllamaloverOH MERLIN! New thread!! How exciting!! I don't see the point in bottled water, if you have a bottle (which I do, I brought one from Paperchase) then just fill it yourself, I think. I had the most amazing glass of water from a tea shop the other day, it just tasted so clear. It was delightful :) |
Half-Blood MetamorphmagusHey! I wanted to make the new topic. Stupid Timezones, stupid school. :'( Meh, anyway, water is wonderful! And that glass of clear water in that Tea Shop looks awesome. I don't see why people says that water has no taste, I mean, in my opinion, water has it's own taste, otherwise, if we were like, with our eyes closed and drinking something, how would we know it was water? BECAUSE IT HAS TASTE! Let's make a toast! For the new OTT Talks Topic and for mini-rants. *toasts* FREEDOM! *cheers**drinks water* OMG TOASTING WITH WATER GIVES BAD LUCK! D8 Ah what the heck, I'm not supersticious and it's too late now anyway... :P This reminded me of that ABBA song "Waterloo" "Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war Waterloo - promise to love you for ever more Waterloo - couldnt escape if I wanted to Waterloo - knowing my fate is to be with you Waterloo - finally facing my waterloo" More randomness? I love rain and lightning. |
2Padfoot00Moony9A new topic!! =O Woooooo!! xD Bottled water. I always nick my friends and she alwyas tells me to bring my own the next day and I always say I will but I never do and nick hers instead. Hehe xD Yes! Water tastes like... water!! xD *toasts with something thats certianly not water* ^^, I love rain and lightening too!! xD But we're past the storms and moving on to summer here in England =[ I had to have an injection at the docotrs today... Then we discovered that I haven't had the MMR jab so I had that stuck in my other arm (which has now swollen) and then I have to go back in a week for more needles!!! *cry* |
violet-phoenix-rosePoor you... I'm a terror when it comes to getting shots - the way I'm scared to death of needles is the main problem. On the bright side of things (from my perspective), I just naturally don't get the flu, which means one thing I don't have to survive. |
Half-Blood MetamorphmagusIt's getting warm over here too, Portugal and England have the same Timezones for sure, and some other stuff I think. I don't know why, but I never really cried nor was too afraid of the needles - only nervous. But now... I think I kinda developed a maniacal me, because, everytime after I get the shot, I feel like laughing. o_O I'm not afraid of needles. :D |
2Padfoot00Moony9Haha I like that, Violet xD I'm not scared of needles either *grin* But they make me nervous... And they hurt a little bit =[ |
Half-Blood MetamorphmagusYeah, nervousism sometimes sucks. And I don't really mind that little pain it gives. o_O |
violet-phoenix-roseI'm absurdly touch/pain-sensitive. If it's on me, I know it's there, which is weird but I'm kinda used to it. What this means is that things that wouldn't bother someone normal - things like shots and getting braces tightened - really get to me. |
2Padfoot00Moony9I'm not that sensitive but when ever my braces are tightened... OW!!! =[ I think in the five months I've had braces, I can only remember one day when eating hasn't been painful... Do you have braces Violet? It's the pain you sometimes get after the jabs... Especially when you knock your arm =[ |
violet-phoenix-roseYeps, I've had braces for a little more than two years. Supposedly they'll come off at some point between now and July, which really means they'll be off in July IF I'M LUCKY. Orthodontists always tell you stuff will come off about six months before it actually does, at least that's what my friends tell me. |
2Padfoot00Moony9Mine are meant to be coming off in July(ish) too! xD Does anyone else here have a weird obsession with infectious diseases or is it just me? I think I might specializein them... They're fascinating! |
A Catholic GirlIce-cold bottled water is tasty to me, but I heard that if you freeze a water bottle it can cause cancer? My science classmates and I have come to conclusion that "everything causes cancer", lol. I've had braces for almost two years. My teeth are perfectly fine now, but my orthodontist is a control freak and just installed rubber bands in them. But I'm definitely getting them off by June, yayness! |
msllamaloverBraces suck, but then I always thought that retainers were worse than fixed anyway. I had mine for about two years overall, and they've been off for a year and I swear, they were SO worthwhile. I'm rather fond of my teeth now :D Needles do nothing to me either, I barely feel them and get no pain. I've had all those jabs and they were fine, the worse thing that happened was that there was a TB scare a year or so back, and we all had to get the jab. The two people who went in before me came out; one of them had a fit and one of them fainted. Doesn't really fill you with very much confidence. I'm worse with things that I know CAN'T hurt me, they make me the most nervous. Guys make me nervous (even though I NEVER show it) and the lead up to giving presentations too. My chest goes all blotchy and red and I start to shake, but then something minute will happen and I'm fine again. I'm just weird xD |
A Catholic GirlI'm a little nervous around needles. I've gotten better as I've gotten older, but they still make me flinch :P I'm always conscious about the way my hair looks and how I smell. I always look and smell fine (or so I'm told) but I always feel outshined by other girls. Guys don't really notice me. No one really understands me, I'm just really sarcastic and odd for them. |
msllamaloverI'm known to be either too nice (which you can never be) or just the sarcastic one. I seem to repel guys at a rate of knots and I think it's getting worse. Doesn't matter, whenever anything to do with 'love' has come around for me something unavoidable has stood in it's way, so I've sort of got used to it now :) I have an 'I smell' complex too, though apparently I don't, it's so odd. And I wouldn't worry about being outshined because I'm so sure that you aren't, purely because I'm yet to see a woman who I don't think is beautiful, as everyone is in their own way. I wish other people would see that too, because it just isn't fair for some people to be discriminated against because they aren't 'beautiful' or 'conventional'. What a horrible thing. |
MopCatI DON'T NEED BRACES! and am like the only kid in my year that doesn't ^.^ Oh the fun i have. Performing in front of people gets to me. I mean REALLY get to me. Inmy music couse we have to preform in front of everyone eight times a year and a weekleading up to it i sit in the corner and don't say a THING and then when i actually have to play i freak out so much, go into tears and shake so much i actually can't get the right keys... and one of my music teachers i a ass and he laughs at me. |
2Padfoot00Moony9I'm too nice at times too! But all my friends think I'm all doom and gloom... Which I'm not, I just pretend to be xD Huh. I wish there was no guys with me right now... bloody nightmare! =[ *nods* I agree with Jay on that =] People. Especially people I don't know. That's what really gets to me =[ The only place I feel entirely comfortable is at home ^^, Eight times a year?! Oh you poor thing!! I hate teachers that are like that! |
violet-phoenix-roseI'm not a nervous kind of person - except around guys. I know most girls are nerve-cases around guys, but sometimes I can't even SPEAK to them! I have so many stories involving the two things I'm prone to doing around cute guys - either I say something I didn't mean to say or, (worse yet), I say what I wanted to say and then I don't know what to say next so I panic and (on at least one major occasion) I run like mad. Once I think I panicked enough that I ran all the way to the other side of a rather large building - I'm just that awkward! |
MopCatI don't like people either. I space out in large crowds and i tend not to get to close to people. But i don't feel comforable at home either. Mum's fault there. School is poperly the best place for me. Eight times. My other music teacher , the nice one, now has me playing to him once a week so i can get over it. It's not working one little bit, but i guess it's the thought that counts. ^.^ I hide my feelings to often. And always laughing when in fact i feel like dying if onlt to get away. Not so good to be class clown when you're me. :D Then again the shit i get away with! |
2Padfoot00Moony9Poor you Violet! Are you friends with any guys? I tend to be alright around the guys I know because in Junior School I was a complete tom-boy and hung about with the lads more than the lasses xD Bless him, Moppie ^^, I laugh too! Probably just a reaction to stress and pressure... Hmm... |
MopCatRightio i have to go to school now. See you lot later! ^.^ |
2Padfoot00Moony9... Y-you're going to school?! Woah. Seriously? =P It's like, 21.25 here!! xD |
A Catholic GirlMost of the time with guys I'm just completely irked by how immature they can get. Anyone seen the Disney Dream Portrait Series photographed by Annie Leibovitz? They're seriously amazing. |
msllamaloverI'm about ready to go to bed xD My guy issues have just worsened. I know, doesn't seem possible, but hey ho! I'm fine, I mean, most of my friends are lassies, but I have a fair few friends who are guys. It's great, because it's different, and there's less pettiness with guys. They are sometimes immature, but then I don't mind that anymore because we're at the age where the guys who I AM friends with have grown up a little! I like being around them as friends, it's fun. It's when there's a mention of anything more than that and I slowly start to loose it. Have fun in school, Mopsie! EDIT: I have, Kristen, what are they? EDIT AGAIN: I have seen them!! They're pretty cool. | #29 Mar 19th, 2:33pm . Edited Mar 19th, 2:37pm

violet-phoenix-roseNo guy friends in my world - no close ones at least. I have loads of casual friends, both guys and girls, but I mainly spend time with a pack of five or so other girls. There's a guy I want to be friends with, but the problem there is that he seems to like me even though I'm pretty sure I've sent out enough 'friendship is all I want' signals for most people to notice. It's just so complicated - relationships, friendships, teenage life in general. I've started to think life was so much easier when I was 10, and I seem to remember hating that year! |
MopCatWell dad refuses to leave yet, even though i'm going to be late! *mutters darkly* I have heaps of guy friends most of them aaren't even in my year ^.^ But there is this one guy who is quite honestly my best friend yet he's kissed me twice and then goes on to tell me how much he likes this other girl and how she wont go out with him. He's an idiot but i can't help but love him :D It's 8:00 am here. Fun... school.... yeah... bundles :P Right i'm REALLY going now. BYE! :D |
2Padfoot00Moony9I often wish I was ten too =] I had one boyfriend, no GCSE's, no other guys... Surprising how much stress they can cause xD Bye bye Mopsie!! *waves* |
violet-phoenix-roseYeah, ten was uncomplicated. I was a loner (was in a different enviroment than I am now), had a childish crush on a boy I'd never be able to get, my siblings' peskiness was virtually nonexistent, my best friend hadn't yet moved away, school was a joke... it was the best year. |
Half-Blood MetamorphmagusLol, I'm actually quite close to boys. I used to be friends with more boys than girls, although, now that changed a bit, but still I'm with them. xD And I know what you mean! I know of a guy who's like me too and I want to be friends with him, but I can't seem to start a talk with him. I was never good at those things, specially with beginning to talk, only the normal things like "Good day...", and can't cross that line. *headdesk* Any help? I know his attention goes to weird and random topics, like me, but I can't seem to be able to start talk of it with somenoe who's almost a complete stranger for me without looking suspicious. xD Have nice classes and fun Moppy! I'm going to dreamland later. xD |
msllamaloverI love being sixteen, I love growing up. I learn new things every day (and believe me, I don't mean school) and I get to experience things. Sure, ten was awesome, but so is this, I think! I didn't really notice guys until I was about fourteen, so I guess I started pretty late. I just despair of my love life now, so I don't really regret it xD I don't know, Morphy, if I were you, I'd just ramble on about strange subjects. That's what I do, and the people who join in tend to turn into my friends and those who don't think I'm weird xD | #35 Mar 19th, 2:56pm . Edited Mar 19th, 2:57pm

Tonkswyrdahehe i have the day off school today! yay lol. being 16 is awesome.i could get in2 r16 movies b4 all my friends(and i month earlier than i should be able to because my id card has my bday wrong... i just havent gotten round to changing it after 4 years...) i used to be friends with so many guys, i was friends with practically everyone in primary. my love life... well its pretty non existant. i go to an all girls school, so i dont know any boys anymore... its very depressing. but i dont reli mind :P |
violet-phoenix-roseI turn 16 in 4-ish months, and the idea scares my mother to pieces. She hasn't quite gotten used to my attempts at driving, even though I have tried to make her feel better by reminding her that various relatives have done more damage than I ever could. For some reason, the phrases "at least I didn't back into an Audi" (my dad did that and it was my aunt's car) and "at least I didn't try to go really fast" (there are stories about my dad and his brothers) don't make my mother feel any better. |
Tonkswyrdalol. we can get our learners at 15 here, but i still havnt gotten round to taking the test. i should, ther thinkin bwt puttin the age up... and a few of ma friends alredi have their resticted... but i cant be bothad. lol. my aim is to get it sometime this year tho. lol |
violet-phoenix-roseI have my learners' permit (guess you have the same age rules and stuff that we do), hence the fact that my mother is more terrified than she would be otherwise. Really, the only thing I've hit in 8 months of having the permit is our mailbox, which had already blown away at least once and which my dad kept trying to fix. We finally did get a new one. |
msllamaloverWe can't get our provisional licenses until we're seventeen, which means I can start learning in May :) |
Tonkswyrdalol. thats cool :P one of my friends got her restiricted, and went for a drive by herself, when she got back her sister told her her mum had been pacing the room checking her watch :D lol. |
A Catholic GirlI'm about three years away from an actual license, and two from a learners permit, I think. I can never get the driving ages straight. Being nine was actually better than ten for me. I had all of my closet friends in my class, my best friend was still in the same school as me, and I got to see my little brother as an adorable little several-month old baby. Ten was ehhh, but fairly decent. :P |
Tonkswyrdaprimary school in general was good for me, coz i was friends with pretty much the whole year. the worst year at schho would have been year 8, when i was 13. ther was one boy who was an ass, and he was a real jerk face to me and ruined my whole year. but yea. apart from that, schools always been pretty good. :P |
Wotcher-TonksI'm turning 15 on Saturday! So I can drive (with a permit). I'm afraid though, haha. I've seen countless people peel out of our school's parking lot, enough to make me leery of actually driving to school. And I'm unnaturally excited about my birthday. It's so special it only comes once a year, haha. :D |
A Catholic GirlI think I may stick to riding the bus every year at the new school I'm going to next year, even when I can drive. But who knows, I've never rode the bus to school before. Anyone here do? |
Tonkswyrdai used to catch the bus home before my sis came to the same school ,cause she finished at 3 and me at half past. and dad was to lazy to come wait for me :( |
A Catholic Girlyahh I have other options of getting home next year. My dad comes home from work passing the school, so I could call him to pick me up. And my grandpa's actually a coach at the school I'll be at, so I could go home with him after his practices too. |
Tonkswyrdai didnt mind catching the bus, heaps of my friends live in the same area as me, but i always got a ride when i could :P lol |
MopCatI SURVIVED SCHOOL! Even though at one point i was going to through myself of a building. ^.^ God, i am so not coping. I've never caught the school bus, but i have to catch a bus to get to the tram station! :D |
Tonkswyrdalol, well ours was a public bus, but it was always full of school kids |
