Kylie Concorde: Um, yeah hi. I'm new to fan fiction and I love writing comedy because it's so much fun, especially satirical comedy (I enjoy making fun of things I don't like, ha ha.) I'm here because I'm trying to think of an idea for a funny light-hearted (non-romantic) and short (no more than 4000 words) Harry Potter fan fiction but right now my mind's 'bare and full of air, dead flies and bits of fluff.' (That was a reference to the original sorting hat song by the way.)

So can anyone think of a good idea for a humorous Harry Potter fan fiction that isn't stupid or random? And I'd prefer not to write a story where everyone behaves completely out of character (for example a fan fiction where Harry and Voldemort speak to each in a friendly way.) I think it's a lot smarter to have a character behave the way they normally do and make fun of it. So can anyone give me an idea for a clever funny story I could write. Remember I don't want to have to make it more than 4000 words long and I don't write romantic stories.

What's the Main Idea: I've seen fics Mary-Sue parodies, yet I'm not really thinking that. Could you try writing a fic if a Mary-Sue showed up, and all the characters while being in-character dealt with her? Any length is fine, and you could avoid chat speak or other stuff, no pairings neeed like you asked for.

Some Plot Points: someone must end up stuck in a closet, and I'd like for someone to suggest something inappropriate with the Giant Squid.

Please include Sirius telling Remus that he & the rest of the Marauders are becoming Animagi for him. I'd like to see how Remus would react, and add Sirius saying proudly, "And I came up with the idea." Not necesarrily the Animagi idea, just have him say that.

I just had this idea maybe five minutes ago, but here it is.

You know how in a lot of stories, people will have Remus or someone commenting on babies being intuitive, and how Harry didn't like Pettigrew much as a baby? Well, I want a reverse of that.

Could someone write a story (even just a short one-shot) based on the line "Peter always was his favorite uncle"? That would seriously make my day.

The Gantz Challenge

I've currently posted this challenge on a few of the forums here on the site.

I propose this challenge to all writers.... However, if you undertake this, you need to do some research. The cross over is with the MANGA Gantz. Yes, the Manga, not the Anime (which, up until the 4th mission is true to the manga). To research, goto stoptazmo do com and start dl'ing. This is a free site with all the chapters archived. The challenge: Start at the End of the first series (when you do the research, you'll understand what I mean), add Harry at the very least, but throw in whomever you'd like. The only thing I really as is that the story not be slash.

I myself am writing one, but I think there should be a HHr Azkaban challenge where for once in Fanfiction, Hermione's half a brain (The other half was brutally murdered and raped in HBP) didn't tell her to act like a snobby biotch loyal to Dumb-Old-Dork (Who is the one who put Harry in Azkaban) and Ronald Weasel (Who should be bashed, but that's optional). It would be a great challenge, because all the Azzy stories I've seen put Hermione in as a half-brained biotch.

you can use the prompts and lines any way you want. A whole story can be born from one simple line or word. You don't have to blend them into the challenges, but can if you want to.

As for a Remus/Sirius idea, I had one once about after Remus gets the Marauder's Map from Harry, and he begins to remember memories from his school days, memories that he wanted to forget. Take this one any way you desire. ;)

As for Draco/Harry...I'll have to come back to you on that one. I have a half-formed idea in my head, but I'm not sure how to accurately convey it through the internet.
