I hope you don't mind, raven, but I wanted to create a topic for good Cloud/Aerith stories. So, anyone got any really good Clerith fanfiction to recommend? Other Aerith pairings are good, too.

I've only found one good one so far.

Alive - With A Smile - I love this one-shot. It made me cry. I'm serious. I'm replaying the game right now, and I nearing that moment. You know which one, right guys? Yeah, that one. I have a box of tissues ready, because I've played the game fourteen times through, and I always cry when *it* happens.

But back to the matter at hand. Let's list all the good Clerith and Aerith/? fanfiction that we like here. I think that's a good idea, isn't it? ^^

Sounds good, Box. I'll have a look-see. ^^ I found a Sephiroth/Aerith fic recently, too. This one is an AU. It deals with what might have happened if Sephiroth had found out about his real origins in the game. It's by JenesisX and it's called Irony of Fate. It's completed, and it has a sequel that I believe is completed as well. This site only contains a preview of the fic, but you can read the whole thing by going to her profile here and clicking the link to her homepage. I haven't read the entire thing, but I like what I've read so far. ^^

I love Beeria's fanfics. It's so hard to choose which one is my favorite.

Totally and there are a lot of good readers out there. For instance, I love Sir Edward's stories.

Sir Edward is really cool to talk to and he's a good writer. A story of his is in my faves.

Beeria is awesome, not only because of her stories, but also because she takes the time to leave reviews for others.

Another awesome author is Bhryn Astairre,although it's a different spin on the Tifa/Cloud/Aeris love triangle... :)

And although I like his stuff, I took a look at Sir Edward, and he doesn't really write much Cloud/Aeris... he's written much more Cloud/Tifa.

True, but he does like both couples.

That sounds good to me. When an author likes one much more than the other(Clerith or Cloti), then the chances of ooc and character bashing goes up.

I'll be sure to check out all the authors you guys mentioned. ^^

Why hasn't anybody mentioned nesza yet? Also, SammehBox, since she's too freakin' modest to recommend herself.

I haven't seen any of their fics before. I'll check them out.

I'm glad to see there are people on this forum that are already familiar with each other.

icemilk's Little Birds is my absolute favourite Cloud/Aerith fic to date. It's wonderfully gritty and, oh, not happy at all. All Flesh is Grass, also by her, is well worth reading as well.

Off-site, pomegranatedeux's Glory Road comes a close second. Litany and Del Otro Lado are both wonderfully written. (Since I don't seem able to link off-site, her writing journal is at stardustmotel dot livejournal dot com; Glory Road is post #02, Litany is #04, and Del Otro Lado is #12.)

Then we have nesza - personally, I don't like my Cleris with fluff, but hey, she's popular for a reason, and she makes her fics work.

Thyme In Her Eyes (elsewhere known as Hyper-Ballad) is another brilliant writer. In particular, I would recommend Untouched, but there's nothing not worth reading there.
