SensueTopic: Welcome to The Brotherhood AU Forum Note
Just a quick welcome to the Brotherhood AU forum. On this forum, you can ask questions, have discussions, make requests, and of course, show off your amazing work. Please note, if you post links to your work (ie: artwork, banners, videos, etc.), it will automatically be posted on The Triad Fanlisting site, unless otherwise stated. Again, just to clear up any misunderstandings, The Hunters' Tomb is the official site of the Brotherhood AU. This is a very easy going forum; all you have to do is choose a 'category' that you want to post a thread in, and post what you like. Enjoy. |

SensueHI. Just found your question... it's sort of hard to explain, but there is no 'first' story... There's a timeline and the first in the timeline (I think) is Stranded by W.M. Scott. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3352138/1/ (This is Caleb's backstory) The second would be Interwoven by Tidia. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3599063/1/ (This is Joshua's backstory) However, these stories really don't 'introduce' you to the characters...because they were written later on. I would absolutely recommend that you read Ridley C. James' work first! She wrote Great, Beautiful Terrible Things (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3125208/1/) and that was one of the first times we'd heard of Caleb Reaves... There's also the REAL DEAL... which introduces Pastor Jim. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2936415/1/The_Real_Deal And not to toot my own horn, but, I've tried hard to introduce Cullen Ames (Caleb's grandfather) and explained some more of Mac's background in Suitcase of Memories. (It starts off as a tag to Stranded). http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4024032/1/Suitcase_of_Memories Check out The Hunters Tomb www dot hunterstomb dot com. for "OFFICIAL" stories or The Triad (www dot sensue dot net / brotherhood ) for all brotherhood stories. (There's also a timeline in the "Extras" section if you want to read them in chronological order...it's not complete yet, but fairly accurate.) Hope this helps. Sensue |

GhostwriterThanks. This does help. I'll check 'em out later today after church. Thanks for the help. Catch ya on the flip side. |

GhostwriterYes, I know I'm double-posting, but I just finally found the time to read the mentioned stories. Of course, that got me to thinkin' would would happen if Pastor Jim had recruited Sam for a secret society (more like the Skulls from the movie, but not). Yeah, like that makes sense. (Rolls eyes). Don't worry. This idea won't ever see the light of day. Catch ya on the flip side. |

monteznoticed little activity on this board, but thought I'd throw a question out here anyway, see if anyone can help. I have an idea for a story, I know how I'm going to work it, but I was wondering if anyone has an idea for a deep rooted, subconscious type of issue that Mac or/and Caleb could have that the other doesn't know about, but would need the others help to over come. I was trying to think of something the maybe Mac needs to get past that Caleb could help with and we all know Caleb has his own storage locker of issues, but I was trying to come up with something that isn't out in the mainstream stories. Did that make any sense at all? My time frame is Caleb still being a teen, between 15 and 17. okay, if anyone sees this and can help with ideas, i'd appreciate it Montez |

SensueHi. Well, i have tons of suggestions, but since it's secret.... you can pretty much make up anything you want to. Some ideas about Mac's secrets: Maybe an old girlfriend (perhaps someone that he'd wanted to marry prior to the accident.) - this one has been in my mind, since his, at least in my mind, most of Mac's snobby friends had left him after the accident. The one that got away... plus, Caleb could get really jealous and try to break them up for fear of an evil-stepmother. LOL Or How about a case for the FBI finding a missing child, except Mac was too late and the parent blame him for it... they try to kidnap Caleb to make him feel the same kind of pain. (?) You can go anywhere with this one. Or how about Mac's childhood... where his father leaves him to go on business trips and he only has a butler for a 'father-figure'. The father figure could come to visit... If you need more about Mac, I'll try to come up with a few more. (See if you like any of them above. LOL.) For Caleb, the list can go on... Since they've already met the Winchester's: What about the first time Caleb finds out HOW Dean and Sam's mom dies. (I don't think anyone has written that story ??)... plus, he could flashback to his own experience. If you don't want 'mainstream', how about regular teenaged angst: the fears of learning to drive, first dates (although at 15, Caleb's already been to the cat-house), problems at school, or a hunt gone bad... Questioning faith, drinking, etc. As for deep-rooted, subconscious type, what about Caleb's fear of being abandoned, or Mac giving him up. Perhaps an injury in which Mac couldn't be there... (In all of the usual stories, Mac rushes off to meet him at the hospital.) what if this time, Mac was 'tied-up'... plot bunny right there. Actually, I like that idea... how about a hunt where Caleb and Mac get captured and only Caleb is saved. OK, well, hope that this helps. Let me know if you end up using any of them. SENSUE |

montezwow, you have actually come close to idea with where I might go and gave me another for a possible next story. Thanks for your help I've got a first chapter done, but it was my set-up chapter so I havent' gotten to the meat of the idea yet- I'm gonna wait on posting until I have a couple chapters completed so I can try to say ahead and not cause any delays. Thanks again Montez |

montezHelp! okay this is going to sound crazy, but I could swear I remember a brotherhood story, kind of a funny, lighhearted piece. and the part that sticks out is Pastor Jim under his bed, signing christmas cards with a purple crayon. John is the one that finds him there-I am sure a little drinking was involved. That's all I can really remember, am I crazy or is there a story out there that fits that? I remember laughing as I read that part, but it ends with Jim going to make pudding for the boys and they are trying to figure out what flavor everyone wants. again Help! Montez |
