But when they're gone I don't miss them, so I feel stupid.

I saw a flattened squirrel on the road today -- I stopped and stared for a long time. The tail twitched when cars blew past, the insides were splayed out from beneath the body, and it looks like the squirrel blew some stuff out from its mouth...-shot- And I almost stepped on a small fluffy black bird that looks like it just dropped dead mid-flight.

It has its own distinct taste - I have the Japanese kind. It's orange-y, and the fruit always comes out in the fall around me and my brother's birthday. When I was little, I used to tell my sister that the persimmon was like little pumpkins growing on trees. She would tell me that they didn't even look alike, but I always thought that persimmon was a kind of daughter-like spirit to the pumpkin, only it grew on trees so the pumpkin and persimmon could never see eachother.

Swimming's rather easy once you get the hang of it...except Butterfly. I don't know if I can still do it. I just depend on breast stroke now. I like it better :/ Consider this a fact.

I hate butterfly. With a passion. I love breaststroke, but I don't do the whole annoying head-under-water thing. I just keep my head up. (:

XD The color guard. I practice in the same cafeteria as them, and I'm always having to duck from heightened parts of the roof used for spinning. I almost got hit once. The color guard's nothing ;D It's the spinning one must fear. But I didn't notice that I was almost hit before a trainer came over to tell me :D
