Topic: List of Stories

Key:

Bold indicates the story title.

Bold and underline will accompany a note. The notes are:

(In progress) means the story is currently being written.

(Completed) is one that won’t show up soon for most fics, but it means the story’s done.

(On hold) means that I’m temporarily dropping that fic to work on the others or, in the case of the epic fics, I need to finish the ones before it.

(Pending review) means that I’m deciding whether or not to abandon that fic.

(Pending plot) means that I’m intrigued by an idea, but don’t have enough plot to work on it.

(Cancelled) means that the fic was destroyed and only exists in the memories of the old readers or on my hard drive. I might one day post all of my cancelled fics, if only for nostalgic purposes.

If there’s a reason that a fic is on hold, excluding lack of time, I’ll list it.

Until the date of posting, assume that each fic title is a working title.

I will list the races of any members of a relationship (originally it was only if it was a sci-fi universe or certain other fics which need the warning but I’ve seen too much horrific fanfiction). Also, ‘underlying tension’ can mean anything from: a mutual attraction that one or both of the pair can’t act on due to circumstances (e.g. married, same sex, wildly varying ages, work, too much of a difference between species etc (though you’ll usually find me linking them together somehow anyway)); one person is attracted to another who doesn’t see them like that or they will get involved, but not until quite late in the story. And if I say that there are no planned relationships, that doesn’t mean there will be none. It just means that the characters haven’t fully formed yet.

Listed here are two hundred and seventy-nine fics. Feel free to shoot me.

Now, on with the list…

Epic Sagas (composed of two or more stories)

Fable

Fable: Shadows over Albion: Game novelisation of Fable. Marek Altan loses his entire family at the age of six. Taken to the Guild of Heroes by a mysterious man known as Maze, Marek learns the ways of the Heroes, the defenders and warriors of Albion. But someone has their eye on Marek. Marek is forced to go on a journey to recover his sister and to save Albion from the darkest evil to rise in centuries. Along the way, Marek will have help from his Hero friends, including Sophie Tala. The two of them will lead the army of good against a seemingly unstoppable demi-god.

Planned relationships: Marek/Sophie (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(In progress)

Fable: Chaos Reigns: Takes place fifteen years after SoA. Cassie, Marek and Sophie Altan’s daughter, is now a well-trained young Hero, eager to get out into the real world and do her duty in protecting Albion. But, like her parents before her, she finds that the real world is far more complex than even the Guild’s training scenarios can prepare her for. As she starts to get out of her father’s shadow and make a name for herself as Hawkeye, she comes to the realisation that being a Hero means that sometimes you have to make hard decisions. When her younger brother is corrupted and starts to journey down the path of Twinblade, she does everything in her power to stop him. Even as he destroys the things and the people she loves, her confidence wavers: can she kill her dearest sibling to save countless strangers? Her purpose in life shrouded, Cassie begins to doubt that the life of a Hero was meant for her.

Planned relationships: Marek/Sophie (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold) (Pending plot)

Fable: Ghosts of Albion: Although this is my version of Fable II, I am still only labelling it Fable. All of the fics originating from Shadows over Albion will be labelled as Fable. All fics originating from Fable II (even though, in my fics, it also comes from SoA) will be labelled as Fable II. Anyway, this story takes place five hundred years after the events of SoA. Albion has known peace for centuries. Towns and cities thrive, people are happy and the Guild is stronger than ever, enforcing the peace. But all is not well. Lord Bane, a mysterious person from the East, has appeared, bringing with him a vast army of Dark creatures. Taking Albion by surprise, his army cuts a great swathe through the beautiful land before the Guild can mount an effective defence. But who is Lord Bane and what is his true objective?

Planned relationships: Sulis/Marlean (underlying tension) (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold)

Fable: Avo’s Crusade: Takes place directly after GoA. The war is over. Lord Bane has achieved total dominion of Albion. The Guild is nothing but dust, its Heroes almost all dead. The few remaining lie low, trying desperately to escape the notice of the Talth army. Only one of them, General Sulis, has the strength of will to stand up for his country. But, when he meets Lord Bane, the Dark Lord unleashes a cataclysm that sweeps the planet, destroying everything it touches. Everything changes: Lord Bane’s forces have finally been routed, but at great cost to Albion. The Guild lies in ruins, the Heroes scattered. From this time of darkness, Lord Bane’s lieutenant, Ssc’ath, rises to his master’s throne and starts to destroy the last of the Heroes, one by one. Struggling to hold together, the Heroes make their desperate last stand at Hollow Creek, the site of Cassie Altan’s death. But, as Ssc’ath’s army approaches, some of the Heroes inexplicably feel that the world is different, that something has happened to Albion and beyond. For some, the Will feels weakened and barely controllable, as though it has been universally drained by some massive act. Eighteen months earlier: Marek Altan, raised from the dead by some unknown force, is lost, alone and confused. As he grieves for his loss of the afterlife, he is contacted by a mysterious, ghostly figure. The Lost One, as the figure claims to be, leads Marek on a quest to find allies for Albion. Lord Bane’s army is beginning its long march West and only Marek can stop him. But, as Marek gathers a group to journey around the world, he begins to suspect that the Lost One has an agenda of their own, one that may play right into Lord Bane’s hands.

Planned relationships: Marek/Nalar (human male/human female), Sulis/Marlean (underlying tension) (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold)

Fable: The Blue Box: Lord Bane is dead, murdered by Ssc’ath. But his last act still brings hope to Marek, who has gathered a force strong enough to take on the legions crossing Albion’s Eastern border. But when the Heroes find ancient records about the Guild, the discovery creates panic and wonder about the nature of the Will. As Ssc’ath comes closer to obtaining the Harkon Amulet, now in Marek’s possession, the Heroes try to activate the Chamber of Fate. But the plan backfires and, instead of destroying the source of all the world’s evil, they unleash it. Now having possessed a Hero, the Source unleashes its fury upon an unsuspecting Albion. Marek, using his fading connection to the Lost One, tries desperately to uncover the truth behind the creation of Albion and learns that not all myths are fiction. In his journey to find and open the Blue Box, the object that created the world, Marek and the Source, which is hoping to destroy the Box, clash against each other repeatedly, leading to a confrontation between Avo’s Tear and the Sword of Aeons and the final destiny of the Will. Depending on the length of Avo’s Crusade, this might be included in the fourth fic. This is also known as The Last Hero.

Planned relationships: Marek/Nalar (human male/human female), Sulis/Marlean (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold)

Fable: Twelve: One hundred and sixty years after the second death of Marek Altan, the Will is struggling to return to the world. The Guild of Heroes is a crumbling ruin, the last physical remnant of the Legendary Age. Albion is still beset by bandits, but without magical creatures, it is prospering once more. But when a young man suddenly gains access to the Will, he acts as a conduit for everything to return: trolls, balverines, nymphs and more. When the current ruler of Albion discovers the man’s existence, he orders his death in the hopes of stopping the invasion of his peaceful lands. But Kandro Wolven has a few more tricks up his sleeve than the soldiers expect. Discovering the Conduit to possibly be the most powerful Will-user in history, the King sends his entire army to bring him down. Kandro now has to survive by relying only on his wits, his blade and his companion, a young woman with a few surprises of her own. However, as he uncovers more knowledge about his powers, he discovers that the Will was never meant to be so concentrated in one place and that reality, and his body, is struggling to cope with the strain. This is an unofficial sequel to The Blue Box. Yes, I know that, as the author of both stories, I can’t really write an unofficial anything to it. What the unofficial means is that this isn’t considered as Canon in the series as a) it’s not how I want the story to progress and b) the story doesn’t revolve around the Altan family, unlike the others. It’s only another test of my writing skills before I truly move on to original fiction. Even though, by my writing strategy, I’ll already have moved onto original fiction by the time I start Twelve. Look, I just want to write it, but not include it in the series, okay? It’s fanfiction of fanfiction. There will almost certainly be an official sequel to The Blue Box, but so far I’ve only come up with three characters (only one of which is a main character. The other two will likely be main, but I’m not sure yet) but no actual storyline beyond simple interactions between those three (and one not-so-simple interaction between two of them) and the time it’s set in (six years after the final few paragraphs of TBB, which I’ve already written as what could be a perfect ending for the entire saga if I wasn’t so sequel-happy), so I won’t blurb.

Planned relationships: Kandro/Talian (human male/human female), other OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold)

Fable: Pegasus: The sixth story in my Fable series. Abigail Altan spent the first ten years of her life listening to Marek Altan’s epic tales of noble champions, powerful creatures and dark entities, at least until her grandfather passed away in his sleep. She has never quite gotten over discovering the great Hero’s cold and empty body, but on her sixteenth birthday, she receives a strange gift from an unknown source: a longsword. Merely days later, an encounter with a mysterious creature in the woods changes her life forever as she suddenly becomes one of the Will-imbued warriors so often spoken of in Marek’s tales. As she tries to understand why the Will is returning to the world, she uncovers a powerful group trying to bring a legend back to life. And so the stage is set for the final fate of Albion (unless there’s a potential for more sequels *grin*). The title of this fic is, as you may have guessed, connected with the flying horse of Greek mythology. Don’t worry, I doubt I will actually have a flying horse in the story, but they will form a part of the story. The title will change as soon as I can come up with a name for Albion’s version of Pegasus.

Planned relationships: Abigail/Tratto (underlying tension) (human female/human male), Abigail/Malla (underlying tension) (human female/part-human part-nymphic female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold)

Fable II: My Sweet Rose: Game novelisation of Fable II. When Rose and Lily, two orphans desperate for food, warmth and comfort in the deep Bowerstone winter, find a way out of their situation, they grasp it with both hands. But when their wish goes wrong, Lily finds herself sisterless and broken, physically and mentally. Under the tutelage of a mysteriously familiar woman, she begins the long journey to find the peace she so desperately needs. But fate is a cruel and fickle mistress and Lily finds her life flying past as her hate and anguish continue to grow. As the world grows darker and Archon’s Bane rises once more, Lily realises that, at the end of her journey, the only thing left of her life will be dust and memories. This fic will originate from Shadows over Albion’s Marek, but will ignore all the other fics of that series.

Planned relationships: OCs

Genres (taking random guesses): Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

Star Wars

Spoof Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Dennis: Introducing Ome-Wan Kenobi and Quite-Gon Whiskey, the awkwardly named Jedi Padawan and his insane, forgetful, drunkard Master, the greatest odd-couple detective comedy Hollywood never made! Join them as they rescue the Queen of Gagoo, a planet with an extremely high birth rate, from the generically evil buffoons, the Grade Federation, and their army of teacher droids. And then there’s the sequels!

This time, the ex-Queen of Gagoo is under attack by Count Boozula, a Drug Lord of the Spliff, and his posse of homies! Watch in half-astonishment and half-horror as the Jedi Council send two hormonal teens to a remote paradise and still expect them to remain chaste! You expect me to come up with another plot?! Oh, bloody hell! Some random war happens and improbable coincidences ensue! Get bored as General Candy Floss searches for a way to replace his pink armour! Scare little children with the tale of Wanakin as he finally succumbs to the power of the Spliff and becomes doomed to spend the rest of his days swearing incoherently for plot purposes! Now go read the sequels to the prequels even though I did the prequels before the sequels (you heard me)!

Planned relationships: Wanakin/Queen Whatshername (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Spoof Wars: Episode IV: A New Dope: Join characters who weren’t around in the prequels, just for the hell of more stories! Nuke Skyplumber, the violently explosive son of Wanakin, starts his quest to join the Rebellion, joined by: Ken Kookie Kenobi, a familiar-looking old dude with a sweet tooth whose initials almost got him lynched; Han Some, the smuggler with regular beauty treatments; Tobaka, the hairy smoker with dyslexia, and Cria, the princess with emotional problems! Wince as they escape the Meth Star with a stunning amount of author interference! Cheer as the author finally runs out of exclamation points for his summaries. But, sadly, his stories were unaffected…

Planned relationships: None, fortunately

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Spoof Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Gold: Three years after the Meth Star’s destruction, the Yavin system is still high on the large store of drugs contained within, making the system uninhabitable for everyone except Pete Doherty! As the Rebellion’s new base on the (n)ice planet of Hock, rumoured to be God’s frozen spitball, is attacked by Imperial Star Destroyers, the highly-inaccurately named starships with coincidentally highly-inaccurate shooting, the brave Rebel warriors flee for their lives! Han Some takes the Millennium Tug, the fastest hunk of junk tower in the galaxy, to Loud City, with all-week partying, to meet his old friend, Landa Calamari, the man with a fishing addiction! Gasp as Nuke learns about his real father, (Not-)Quite-Gon Whiskey (or is he?)! Sob as the author finds more exclamation marks down the back of the sofa! And the finale is almost here everyone!

Planned relationships: Han Some/Cria (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Spoof Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jihad: With Han Some gone, the Rebel’s budget has gone up considerably now that he isn’t using a ton of beauty products a week! But some people want him back (though nobody’s sure who)! To get Han back, Nuke and his friends have to defeat the loathsome Gabba the Nutt, the senile slug who won’t stop talking, and Bobble Hedd, the bounty hunter with a whole range of comical toys! Finally, the Rebel fleet gathers to defeat the second Meth Star, which seems to have appeared from yet another Author’s Whim! Look on impassively as Nuke fights the Bankor, the monster with cash in its wallet thanks to its saving on expensive CGI! Scratch your head in confusion as you search in vain for any connection to Islam! Sigh in relief as you realise this is the last one!

Planned relationships: Han Some/Cria (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Spoof Wars: Knights of the Slightly-Less-Old Republic: Also known as Spoof Wars: Episode T-MCCLXXXIX (T minus 1289). A Knights of the Old Republic spoof. I’m purposefully not reading any other KotOR spoofs so that no-one can accuse me of plagiarism. Four thousand years before the horror of Spoof Wars swept the galaxy, Darth Mallet and his evil Spliff army are quickly destroying the Republic and all it stands for (puppies and justice and all that)! The only hope?(!) A pair of amnesiac twins, a clumsy Padawan, a pilot who can’t fly, a depressed Twi’lek, a walking carpet who needs comfort food, a psychotic droid with an obsession for love-songs, a talking trashcan that won’t talk, a cat which won’t purr, an insanely happy Jedi, and a diseased Mandalorian! Cheer as they defeat Mallet and his drug-crazed followers while solving the mystery of Darth Revan and Darth Revan! Get bored as the list of side-quests grows and grows! Ignore me entirely when I say not to read it!

Planned relationships: Jack/Bastila (human male/human female), Jack/Juhani (underlying tension) (human male/Cathar female), Jill/Carth (human female/human male), Jill/Canderous (underlying tension) (human female/human male)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Spoof Wars: Knights of the Slightly-Less-Old Republic II: The Spliff Lords (and Lady): Five years after Darth Mallet is defeated, the Republic is getting beaten up for its lunch money once more! Two Spliff Lords (and a mysteriously absent Lady) are searching for the few remaining Jedi in the hopes of annihilating them! They obviously aren’t looking very hard as a motley crew of n00bs locate them instantly! Two Jedi Exiles (banned for being better than the Jedi Council) are joined by a Jedi who hates the Force, a smuggler with relationship issues, a martial artist with parental issues, a spy who escapes detection with his rubbish backstory and fancy British accent, a talking trashcan who’s obviously taken eloquence classes since the original, a psychotic droid who’s now into Meatloaf and Bon Jovi, a bounty hunter with pyromania, a walking carpet with a fear of fire, a blind woman with contact lenses, a large spherical droid with a gambling problem and a small spherical droid with a love of shooting Jedi for ‘training purposes’! Cringe at the title’s length! Frown in confusion as the Jedi hide in plain sight and no-one notices! Cry with horror as the plot dies at the end!

Planned relationships: John/Brianna (human male/human female), John/Visas (underlying tension) (human male/Miralukan female), Jane/Atton (human female/human male), Jane/Mical (underlying tension) (human female/human male)

Years of Hell: The Darkness Spreading: AU. Takes place 20 years after the New Jedi Order. Claire Redfield is a mysterious Jedi Knight who was once Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice. She returns to the Republic to warn them of an impending Sith invasion. But, while trying to identify the Sith’s new allies, Claire falls to the Dark side. The fic then spontaneously combusted whilst trying to sort itself out. The two sequels are too complicated to even write down here, but if you want full ‘plots’, just ask.

Planned relationships: OCs

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/War

(Cancelled – Due to complete lack of respect of Star Wars Canon)

Paths of Destiny: Jolee: Jedi Down: Takes place forty years before Knights of the Old Republic. The Jedi have been damaged by the war against Exar Kun. Brother fights sister, master against pupil. No-one is untouched by the devastation sweeping the Order. Jolee Bindo, a rebellious Padawan, fights his wife in the continuing war but cannot summon the will to strike the Dark Jedi down. Nayama then goes on to kill dozens of other Jedi until, finally, in the Battle above Yavin IV, Jolee shoots her down. He returns to the Jedi Council to face his punishment. The entire Paths of Destiny series will only be released on FileFront as it will be included in Harry Potter and the Knights of the Old Republic.

Planned relationships: Jolee/Nayama (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/War

(On hold)

Paths of Destiny: Canderous: Planetfall: Takes place ten years before Knights of the Old Republic. Canderous, a young Mandalorian rising rapidly through the ranks is in command of a small battle group in the siege of Althir. His daring tactics win the battle far more easily than anticipated and gain him command of an entire fleet.

Paths of Destiny: Juhani: Dreams: Takes place nine to six years before Knights of the Old Republic. Juhani, a young Cathar Jedi, is instrumental in the fall of Darth Malak and the Sith, but she trusts only a certain few with the knowledge of her origins. As a young girl, her parents fled their homeworld to escape the Mandalorian bombardment, but made the mistake of settling on Taris, a planet legendary for its hatred of non-humans. When her parents die, Juhani is put on the slave market until a small group of Jedi, gathering soldiers to help fight the Mandalorian threat, put a stop to the auctions. Juhani, awed by the charismatic leader of the Jedi, Revan, swears to become just like him and dreams of becoming a Jedi.

When he discovers his brother making deals with the slavers, he goes insane with anger. He attacks and breaks one of the Wookies most sacred vows, using his claws as a weapon. He teaches his little sister how to wield a vibroblade and pick locks and all the tricks a thief would need to know. However, when Griff is forced to leave Taris as well, he leaves Mission behind. Mission, thanks to Griff’s training, has an easier time surviving in the Lower City than most would. She also has the help of a friendly Wookie she discovered.

Planned relationships: Griff/Lena (Twi’lek male/Twi’lek female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst

(On hold)

Paths of Destiny: HK-47: Assassination Protocols: Takes place two years before Knights of the Old Republic. HK-47 is described, quite accurately, as psychotic. However, he is a droid that also possesses a great deal of personality and humour, even if he doesn’t realise what he said was funny. Activating for the first time, HK-47 discovers his role in the galaxy far more easily than most. He is sent to assassinate people, quietly or otherwise, and he comes back successful every time.

Planned relationships: None

Paths of Destiny: Bastila: To Die For: Takes place one to two years before Knights of the Old Republic. Bastila Shan is still a Padawan when the Jedi Civil War begins. Learning about the leader of the Sith fleet, Revan, she is horrified, desperately trying to understand how her friend could have fallen so far. When the Jedi have need of her special abilities, she drives the Sith back in battle after battle, though the enemy fleet still continues to grow. Quickly wearying of the war, she is pleased to learn that the Jedi are sending in a strike team to capture Revan. She is less pleased when she learns that she is to command it. Can she capture the man she admired, possibly even loved? Or will she falter and fall to the dark side herself?

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/War

(On hold)

Paths of Destiny: Revan: Malak’s Betrayal: Takes place one year before Knights of the Old Republic. Revan, Dark Lord of the Sith, is highly confident of his abilities. So when a small Jedi strike team invades his flagship, he isn’t very concerned. But his apprentice cowardly betrays him and tries to destroy his ship. Revan must fight the Jedi and capture the leader for conversion to the dark side before the Overlord is destroyed.

Planned relationships: Revan/Bastila (underlying tension) (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/War

(Completed)

Paths of Destiny: Bastila: Under the Stars: Takes place one year before Knights of the Old Republic. Revan is dead. Bastila brings his body back to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine for burial, still believing that he could have been redeemed. As he is buried, Bastila thinks about all the good times she had with him and the occasions when their friendship had almost become something more. This synopsis is purposefully not accurate due to incredibly major spoilers for Knights of the Old Republic.

Planned relationships: Revan/Bastila (underlying tension/flashbacks) (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/War

(On hold)

Paths of Destiny: Carth: Destruction: Takes place one year before Knights of the Old Republic. The timeline is contradictory, so this is where I place it. After Revan’s death, Malak assumes total control of the Sith fleet. Thousands more flock to the Sith, desperate for power. Republic Admiral Saul Karath tries to convince the Republic’s best fighter pilot, Carth Onasi, to join him in defecting. Carth, not wanting to believe what he’s hearing, ignores the request. Speed

Speed Limit: A spoof of Speed. After convincing a not-so-terrorist to commit suicide, team-killer Mr. Anderson… I mean, Jack Traven, an L.A.P.D. SWAT team bomb expert with no expertise with bombs, is awarded the Cheap Silver Watch of Hostage Shooting. But Dennis Hopper, angry that his character was killed off so early in the fic, returns to seek his revenge. Planting a deadly explosive on a bus, he demands three million dollars (or at least a role in the sequel) or the bus will explode. Jack, having suicidally found his way onto the bus, now has to keep the vehicle cruising along at under ten miles per hour or the fic will end prematurely.

Planned relationships: Jack/Annie (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Speed Limit 2: Crowd Control: Some time later… Jack and Annie have gone their separate ways, due to an incident with a car, a German window cleaner and a banana. They don’t really like to talk about it. But she is back with an already established love interest that looks and acts just like Jack, but has a far worse actor and much shoddier scriptwriting. She doesn’t really like to talk about that either. Coincidentally, they are on a boat together when a crazy computer genius comes along and takes over said boat. Stuff happens and only they can save the day. Just your typical Hollywood cash-in then…

Planned relationships: Alex/Annie (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

Die Hard

Dye Hard: A spoof of Die Hard. John McClane is an ex-cop in New York City and now makes a living as a successful hair stylist. On Christmas Eve, he arrives in Los Angeles to spend the holidays with his estranged wife, even though they haven’t talked for God knows how long. But as McClane waits for his wife’s office party to break up, terrorists seize control of the building (is LA a terrorist magnet or something?). While the terrorist leader, Hans Gruber and his insane posse round up hostages, McClane slips through a plothole and escapes unnoticed. Armed only with a hairdryer and his styling tips, McClane launches his own one-man war on bad hair.

Planned relationships: John/Holly (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Dye Hard 2: Dye Harder: On a snowy Christmas Eve (again?) in the nation’s capital (would that be ‘U’, ‘S’ or ‘A’?), a team of terrorists has seized a non-existent major international airport and now holds thousands of holiday travellers hostage. The terrorists, a renegade band of crack(-snorting) military commandos led by a murderous rogue officer (well, duh), have only one demand: put an end to the clichés… oh, and also the release of a drug lord, but that’s a secondary objective. They’ve prepared for every contingency except one: John McClane, an off-duty stylist gripped with a feeling of deadly déjà vu (the baggage handlers lost his hair gel). Of course, terrorists aren’t his only problem (shame on you for thinking that). He also has to battle an incompetent airport police chief, the hard-headed commander of the Army’s anti-anti-terrorist squad (err… spoiler alert… retroactively) and a not-so-deadly winter snowstorm. The runways are littered with death and destruction (it’s the same place they filmed Speed Limit) and McClane is in a race against time. His wife is coincidentally trapped on one of the planes circling overhead, which is desperately low on fuel at a dramatic time.

Planned relationships: John/Holly (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Horror/Humour/Parody/Romance

(On hold – Deciding whether or not to use script format)

Dye Hard with a Vengeance: Back in New York City an unspecified amount of time later… Fed up with terrorists on Christmas Eve, John McClane locked the door that day and refused to go out. The Green Goblin politely asked him to rescue some hostages, but the stylist referred him to Spiderman. So the terrorists had to redraw their plans. John now spends his days roaming the streets and attacking innocent civilians, restyling their hair to his liking, before escaping into the night. But of course, that strange existence has to be destroyed. McClane’s newest foe wreaks havoc in downtown Manhattan and then reveals that more destruction will follow through the city if his demands are not met (which doesn’t really surprise anyone). Caught in a twisted game of hide-and-seek, McClane and some random sidekick race against time and frantically attempt to cause… I mean, stop further ruin. Dodging unforeseen danger at every turn (but hitting pedestrians on every sidewalk), McClane takes not-so-non-stop action and not-very-narrow escapes to the ultimate extremes. Except in the next fic, Dye Hard 4.0244.1832.102b (now with Microsoft version numbering!).

Night of the Living Dead

Night of the Living Bread: A spoof of Night of the Living Dead. The idea isn’t mine. It belongs to someone who made an eight-minute spoof film of Night. I don’t know who and I don’t know where as I’ve never seen it, only heard of it. Since I’ve never seen it, I can’t be accused of copying. Therefore, apart from the basic idea, this is totally original. As Barbara and Johnnie visit their mother’s grave, they are attacked by a gigantic loaf of bread. Johnnie dies quickly due to a tragic and previously unknown allergy to dough and Barbara flees to a nearby farmhouse, where other survivors are holed up away from the relentless attack of wholegrain. But, as petty rivalries tear the group apart, the unbread manage to find a way into the house. This is based off of the 1990 colour remake as a) I can never find a copy of the 1968 original and b) the remake has Barbara as a good modern woman rather than a tragically repressed housewife. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway.

Dawn of the Bread: The unbread have swept the entire planet, leaving only crumbs in their wake. Fleeing from one of the few television stations still active, a group of survivors steal a helicopter and go on a merry jaunt to the mall. Clearing out the threat, the group enjoys a vacation at the mall without having to worry about their lack of dough (money-dough, not bready-dough). But a random gang of bikers threaten to ruin it all as they ride through the mall on their mopeds-in-disguise and randomly nick ovens. This is based on the 1978 original, though I may consider doing a version for the 2004 remake. And I would if I could, but Shaun of the Dead isn’t going to be done. It’s very hard to parody a parody.

Day of the Bread: The world is completely overwhelmed. The few survivors of the unbread apocalypse are now struggling to survive in isolated regions. One group, holed up in a military base, is struggling to develop a toaster gun to defeat the high-in-fibre menace. They’ve never heard of flamethrowers, by the way. The only way to defeat them without the toaster gun is to stab them in the heart with a bread knife, upon which they turn to flour. Or is that the wrong species of bread? Led by a psychotic leader who thinks he’s a cowboy, the military go rogue and try to kill everyone, including each other. But when the ever-increasing army of unbread is let in by one of the aforementioned morons, the fight to kill each other turns into a fight to avoid the infuriated Bub the Medium-Sliced. This is based off of… I don’t know. I think it’s the original, but I can’t find a year anywhere on the box or disc. If I can ever find a copy, I may do a version of the 2008 remake along with the rumoured Army of the Dead, both by the guy responsible for the 2004 Dawn remake.

Land of the Bread: Somehow, there are now thousands of survivors of the doughy onslaught. No-one knows how. The unbread have been nicknamed ‘Stenches’, presumably a reference to the mouldy growths now covering their bodies. After angering a larger-than-normal loaf with a curious immunity to the loaves newly discovered weakness to shiny objects, the humans of Old New York City ignore the growing threat of cholesterol. But then, what do you know? A moron decides to go and threaten the rest of them for money in a world where he can’t do a thing with it. And, as the bread army rises from the river, soggy and limp, the humans continue to be damn stupid and hopefully they all die. Umm… I mean… go us? This is based off of the only one there is. Go figure.

Diary of the Bread: I am so, so sorry, but it’s a George A. Romero film so it therefore must be breadified. I’m not sure how many of you know of Diary of the Dead as I believe it was straight to DVD (maybe Land was a flop?). If you find a copy and you’re into the series, I suggest you give it a go no matter what you’ve heard about it. If nothing else, it’s an interesting use of cameras and I think Romero should get an award for being so daring. All handheld? Classic. Anyway, the bread spoof… After attempting to shoot a kinky horror film with a horny mummy (though all mummies seem to be male), a group of students and their teacher of kinky Vietnamese horror films (or something) flee from the armies of bread appearing around the world. After running over a toasted bacon sandwich and some blueberry muffins, a suicidal moron tries to kill herself but can’t even achieve it with a gun (thereby cementing her stupidity for all eternity). Journeying to a hospital, they learn how to defeat bread with the help of a conveniently placed plot device and go on a journey of minor proportions to discover the mummy guy’s new zoo.

Star Trek: Elite Force: Uprising: Part three of the EF series. A year after the events of Awakening, Hazard teams are being implemented around the Federation, Alex having proven their worth in the Exomorph Conflict. And the Federation is in dire need of them. The colony on Blizzard IV has been vaporised by a large alien fleet. The Kessok, having joined the Federation, identify them as the ‘Moloth’, a race that believes, without doubt, in its superiority over the rest of the universe. The Moloth have conquered over five hundred star systems without trouble and have gained enough power to finally challenge the Federation in a face-to-face conflict. And the only key to their defeat lies in a Federation starship that has been lost for over two hundred years.

But retirement plans are crushed when the Borg launch a brutal attack on the Federation, assimilating anything that stands in their way. After Earth is assimilated, the Federation scatters in all directions, searching for refuge. But, as Alex knows, the Borg will not stop until everything in the galaxy is under their control. He also knows that the Borg took his wife and daughter away from him; and he will not stop until every Borg in the galaxy lies dead at his feet in atonement for his loss.

CSI: Songs of Evil: Set at some point in Season Seven. When a young woman comes into the police station, reporting a rape, the CSI’s investigate. What started out as a friendly one-night stand quickly turned sour for the woman as the man became more and more violent. Mass Effect

Mass Effect: The Reaping: Game novelisation of Mass Effect. Twenty-six years after humanity’s disastrous first contact with an alien race, it has fully recovered and is now a full, if slightly cautious, member of Citadel space, the area of the galaxy controlled by an alliance between dozens of races. Following a devastating attack on its first colony, Eden Prime, humanity prepares for war against the geth, a race of synthetic AIs, and their traitorous leader, Saren Arterius. But, unless the crew of the SSV Normandy can find Saren, the cycle of death will begin once again and all life in the galaxy will die.

Eragon

Inferno: A rewrite of the Inheritance series. This is because, while I find the books quite good, or at least interesting, there’s no denying that some parts (okay, most parts) are… well, to be frank, utter rubbish. Though it is far better than a lot of fanfics I’ve read, it still surprises me that it was ever published until cleaned up. I’ve been reading an excellent spork of the first two books in the series and they inspired me to write my own version of these books. For obvious reasons, I’ll wait until I’ve read the final book before I properly start this (or when I get bored thanks to Paolini torturing us with a fourth book), although I have written a few minor scenes. I don’t want to screw myself up by writing something that’s heavily contradicted in the final part. Light contradiction is fine though. Plenty of that already. While there is only one fic in this section, I’ve put it here because, depending on the length, I might split it into four parts. If so, they will be called Line in the Sand for the first, Flesh and Blood for the second, Trinity for the third (though the alternate title I once planned, Unending, gave me a laugh when I heard about the fourth book) and Emergence or Outcast for the last. The last two are a total guess until I have more to go on, though large parts wildly separate from the books in the name of logic. And no, if you look at the relationships part, Saphira is not a draconic slut (*pointly ignores mental imagery*). She needs to breed with every male possible for the dragons to stand a chance of rebuilding themselves. By the way, in case Paolini’s lawyers complain about this, you can’t take me to court. If you try, I’ll just phone up George Lucas, Christopher Tolkien and Anne McCaffrey and possibly others and just ask them to chip in for legal costs as it suits their purposes too. Also, I’ll claim it’s a breach of my human rights (suppression of free speech and all that) and see if I can get that damn Human Rights Act to do something useful for once. Therefore, don’t bother trying. Have a nice day!

The Lord of the Rings

Why Won’t You Die?!: Aragorn: This series will explore the myriad mistakes that Suethors make in writing LotR fics, specifically character swapping fics. Everyone underestimates the important Sam had on the quest. I was one of those until I truly thought about it. So, what would happen if Aragorn went with Frodo instead of Sam? No, it would not all end in hugs and bunnies. Everyone who said so, stand up so I can shoot you. What would happen is chaos and the deaths of many, many more than in Canon. So far, this will only be a list of the most likely things to happen with some small scenes in, but I might decide to write actual fics of some of these. I’m also searching for a better title.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

(On hold)

Why Won’t You Die?!: Boromir: I think that even the Suethors will know how this one ends. Unlike the majority of others, the AU part will have to extend slightly before the battle at Amon Hen. Unlike the majority of others, this one will likely end in Emyn Muil or near there. And no, Boromir will not be immune from corruption if he has comfort sex with Frodo. Which he won’t. Stop whining.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

(On hold)

Why Won’t You Die?!: Legolas: I have heard it argued that Legolas has the least use in the journey, but I’m not sure myself. However, in this, I think I’ll have him shoot Frodo before he can put on the Ring in Orodruin. That’s if dear little ‘Leggy’ *shudder* hasn’t been corrupted. Actually, screw it. I’m corrupting him (at least slightly) just to piss off Orli fangirls. *maniacal laughter*

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

(On hold)

Why Won’t You Die?!: Merry: This fic will spell doom for Minas Tirith. No Merry equals dead Eowyn means dead everyone else. What else will happen, I have no idea. To be honest, it’s very hard to come up with different blurbs for these fics and so I’m just going to list one massive plot change for the rest.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

(On hold)

Why Won’t You Die?!: Pippin: Faramir would likely burn to death in this one and… um… that troll would kill Beregond and… err… Merry might not find the pipeweed? Other things will happen, but my mind’s not working at the moment (he says right before remembering the bloody palantir).

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

Why Won’t You Die?!: Gimli: Well, first, Legolas and Gimli wouldn’t be as good friends, ruining all chances of that slash fanfiction I keep seeing (although they were already ruined if you’d actually done more than seen the movie). You may cheer now. *grin* Secondly, I can’t see Gimli winning easily against Shelob, but I have no idea how this will turn out.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

(On hold)

Why Won’t You Die?!: Gandalf: Basically, everyone will die. No Rohan soldiers to assist at Helm’s Deep. Pippin wouldn’t go to Minas Tirith and Sauron would be looking for the Ring entering Mordor. No rallying point for the Gondorian soldiers. Yep, they’re amazingly screwed. Have fun.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

Why Won’t You Die?!: Faramir: To be honest, I’ve got no idea what I’ll do here. One theory I have is that Denethor wouldn’t risk Boromir to retake Osgiliath and so wouldn’t have lost a load of men. Also, Boromir and Faramir would fight over the Ring and possibly try to kill for whatever reason (either from corruption or from Faramir trying to help Frodo get to Mordor). But I’ve got no clue.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

Why Won’t You Die?!: Glorfindel: This fic is slightly different than the others. The others swapped Frodo’s companion. This changes the Fellowship itself. What if Gwaihir the Winglord had failed to take Gandalf away from Orthanc and into Rohan? With Gandalf still trapped in Isengard, Glorfindel is chosen to be the Fellowship’s ninth member. This fic assumes that the Glorfindel in the Fellowship of the Ring is the same Glorfindel who died destroying a Balrog in the Silmarillion.

Planned relationships: Aragorn/Arwen (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (Dunedain male/Sindarin female), Sam/Rosie (underlying tension) (flashbacks) (hobbit male/hobbit female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Romance/War/Tragedy

The Chord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: A musical of the Lord of the Rings. Featuring such copyright-infringing classics as ‘Ai! Ai! A Balrog Is Come!’, ‘They Are Taking The Hobbits To Isengard!’ and Gimli’s cringe-inducing solo ‘Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It’s Off To Death We Go!’ But you’ll be grateful that it’s not his ‘Ode to Galadriel’ that the author is desperately hoping Celine Dion doesn’t notice. The fic will have two sequels, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, but I can’t be bother coming up with any blurbs that’ll say exactly the same thing as this.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert II

Liberty’s Cage: A Red Alert II game novelisation. I’m doing a lot of these, aren’t I? Anyway, for those of you not into C&C, shame on you, I’ll give you a brief synopsis. Years after Stalin’s fall from power after his attempt to control the world, the Allies and the Soviets are once again at peace, thanks to freedom-loving Premier Romanov. But Romanov secretly burns with hatred for the Allies who destroyed his country’s power. Developing new technologies, Russia is determined not to fail this time. The Allies are totally unprepared for the invasion and their counter-strike is completely ineffective. Now, the fate of the Allies depends on a young and untested Commander. This story will tell the Allied campaign, but will do as many Soviet levels as possible, even if I have to edit the outcome slightly.

Planned relationships: Alex Ashton (Allied Commander)/Tanya (human male/human female), Alex/Eva (underlying tension) (human male/human female), Nicholai Lazaroff (Soviet Commander)/Zofia (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/Horror/War

Prisoners of a Mind: A Yuri’s Revenge game novelisation. A month after the Soviet’s defeat, the Allies have finally lowered their guard. However, they had assumed, wrongly, that the Soviet Commander had killed Yuri near the end of the war. Strange towers suddenly appear across the world, including one on Alcatraz Island. After discovering the immense power they hold, President Dugan orders an immediate air strike. While partially successful, the Psychic Dominators around the globe activate as one, brainwashing the minds of every man, woman and child in existence. The remaining Allies still true to the concept of free will, holed up in San Franciso, must quickly find a way to stop Yuri when the whole world is literally against them. I’ve got big plans for this one, like a Tanya/Boris showdown. Again, this will be the Allied campaign first and Soviet secondary (although both of the endings happen). And yes, I will definitely be including Rexy the T-Rex (both game and cutscene versions). If you haven’t discovered Rexy, you are a complete n00b and should be shunned. E-mail me for instructions on obtaining him.

Command & Conquer: Generals

Attrition: A Generals game novelisation. I haven’t really thought of much for it yet so this and its sequel may be cancelled if Liberty’s Cage takes up most of the ideas. I want to do this because Generals was a pretty good game with only one truly major flaw: Why am I nuking Arabs again? The premise of a modern war between the world’s superpowers and terrorists was a good one, but it did a terrible job at a storyline. It was just battle after battle after battle with no plot governing the whole thing. Zero Hour improved slightly, but not by much. So I need to come up with a hell of a plotline for this or I’ll just abandon it.

Home Soil: A Zero Hour game novelisation. The above rules apply to this fic as well, but at least ZH gave me a bit to work with. With the Global Liberation Army driven back to remote parts of Asia, the citizens of the United States believe that the war is won and clamour for their families’ safe return. But the Generals know that the GLA is regrouping with terrifying speed under the leadership of a new bio-weapon expert. With the destruction of one of their European naval bases, the USA are suddenly on the defensive once more, fighting for every inch of ground. But the enemies are now on American soil and can now strike from within.

Dark Angel

Dark Angel: Season Three: Yeah, another big project. I wish that they would make it themselves because I really doubt I can compare, but I have this urge to fill in the plotholes. What is the Coming? What happened to Lydecker? How will the transgenics survive under constant siege? Will Joshua get over Annie’s death? And, my personal favourite, is something happening to Logan? There are twenty-on stories in this series.

Five thousand years after the events of WotG, the Terran Alliance has spread across three-quarters of the known universe, seeding life as it goes. Excluding the occasional diplomatic problem, the Alliance has known millennia of peace. But when they encounter a galaxy with its own life, they find themselves plunged into war. The Arachania are a xenophobic race and do not take kindly to the Alliance’s attempts to make contact. Five years of war have no real impact as both sides capture worlds and then terraform them to their own needs. But in the middle of a huge battle, a temporal anomaly spits out Abraxa’s Sword, the five-thousand-year-old flagship of New Abraxa. Cassie, who is on the ship, is thrown into a war she doesn’t belong in. She has to decide whether to help the Alliance win the war now, or to delay their expansion into the universe.

The Badfic Files: Harry Potter: His Eternal Love: Put in Crossovers because it had nowhere else to go. This is the start of a series that damns badfic and the clichés contained within wherever it finds them. This file is set in the Harry Potter universe and deals with pop bands, rapist!Dumbledore, Harry/Draco slash and much, much more. There are two versions of each fic: a version in English and a version in the strange language I have named Suevian. And it’s all written like a Daniel Radcliffe fangirl on crack (a terrifying thought).

The Badfic Files: The Two Fellowships of the Tower Lord Return to the King of the Rings: The second folder in The Badfic Files journeys into a Suethor’s re-imagined version of Middle-Earth. We encounter the Fellowship of the Ring stuck in a time loop, including the always horny Aragorn/Legolas pairing, the Uruk-Hai of Isengard trying to unsuccessfully torture a poor maiden and Sauron and Galadriel trying to work out the difficulties of elf/giant floating flaming eyeball relationships. As with all of the issues dealt with in The Badfic Files, I have encountered everything.

The Badfic Files: Star Whores: The third folder in The Badfic Files turns out to be more disturbing than the last two. In the sex-crazed GFFA (Galaxy Far, Far Away), everyone’s out for a good time. Obi-Wan and Yoda are always sneaking off behind the sheds whenever there’s a spare moment, Luke and Vader become best friends, Jabba gets horny over his new slave and Padmé and Leia are turned into full-on S&M bondage queens before you can say “Oh, that’s just wrong…” But remember… everything.

The Badfic Files: Blade Quadrumvirate: The fourth folder fortunately doesn’t produce as much Disturbotron as before and only requires a mild dose of Antificalene to read it. *holds hand to earpiece* I’ve just been informed by Cassie that I am a moron. Show of hands if you agree? *looks around* Oh. I see. *sulks* Anyway, in this Blade fic, Blade finds himself helpless at the hands of his TV series counterpart and his army of genetically-modified Sues. Now, with only the help of Whistler, once again back from the dead, Abigail, who ran out of batteries for her magic sword, and Desdemona “Demon” Hummer, Abigail’s twin sister, Blade must fight off the ever increasing army of lusty Sues. But one of his own is a traitor and only Wesley Snipes can save the day.

The Badfic Files: Dragon Heart: The Last Dragon: The fifth folder is more of a spoof of the money-making scam that was Dragon Heart: A New Beginning. Yes, it was all right, but it was clearly just to get more cash. I will research Dragon Heart fics for clichés though. Anyway, the plot: when Drake is killed by a falling tree (random angst, you see), the world mourns for the death of the last dragon. But when an orphaned farm girl finds an egg, she becomes the protector of the dragon that hatches from it, Sally (ignoring naming conventions, there). Sally and the farm girl must fight to defend their country from the invading hordes of soldiers trying to kill them.

Cassie and Marek: A Hero’s Legacy: Cassie and Marek are two battle-hardened sporkers, but where did they come from? That’s easy; CoPM and SoA respectively. But how did they become sporkers? That’s not so easily answered, but it involves interdimensional portals and Author’s Whims. This is the tale of how they joined up with their boss at J.A.D.E.D., how their original fics continued without them and their first fic destruction and why the Interdimensional Portal is so obviously an Atlantean Stargate. They are… Sue Hunters!

Cassie and Marek: The Dragon War: This is going to be a very embarrassing undertaking for me. I wrote The Dragon War. It was English homework when I was around thirteen. It was when I was highly inexperienced as a writer. It was a total rip-off of Eragon. No-one noticed. *laugh* See the Inferno notes above for my thoughts on why Paolini can’t complain. You, however, are entitled to laugh and mock this work. But not me because I’ve changed since then. Anyway, I’ve decided that I will attempt to destroy my own creation. It’s going to be painful. I believe that I’ll spork it as well. *mutters* How the hell did I get a high mark for this rubbish?

Cassie and Marek: Harry Potter and the Deathly Philosopher’s Chamber of Fire Goblet Secrets Order the Prisoner of Azkaban and the Half-Blood Phoenix Prince to Stone Hallows Part II: Don’t smegging ask where I got that title from. I based it off the title of a Night of the Living Dead spoof (a film, not a fic one) and it took me half an hour to give this title some semblance of sense. I’m considering just separating it all out and having the titles of the books though or just changing it to Harry Potter and the Endless Build-up or Harry Potter and the Endless Hype. Anyway, this is the story of how Cassie and Marek find themselves in the dreaded Harry Potter films. And I will be including the remarkable resemblance to Star Wars music as I go through. Seriously, listen to the music in the rogue Bludger scene in CoS. It’s Star Wars (Episode II, I believe) with a few notes changed. Listen out for more and tell me. I’m certainly keeping my ears open now (I glued them shut for my sanity before). As the two assassins snarkily insult their way through seven piles of dreck, they discover a horrifying secret. The film can sense their presence and it is doing everything it can to stop them from destroying it. Cassie and Marek must fight the film at the same time as trying to educate moronic fangirls who haven’t read the books. But what those fangirls don’t know is that Harry gets decapitated by Ron who is actually Voldemort’s evil robot son. Err… spoiler alert… retroactively. And while I doubt I’ll ever completely forgive him for playing Wormtail, I’ve partially grown to like Timothy Spall after watching Enchanted. *smiles stupidly*

Cassie and Marek: Who’s Up For Sue-shi?: Yes, that title is appalling. I am already aware of that. Please shut up. I’m not sure if I should get rid of Cassie and Marek and call it an original fiction version of The Badfic Files yet. The plot at the moment is pretty weird. Basically, in between missions, Cassie has been writing a novel where the Sues get what’s coming to them. It is a neo-retro world, filled with different species, races, and flavours of yogurt, where the characters must choose to forge their destiny, decide their fate, and then forge their destiny a bit more. Can they survive? Can they collect the seven keys of Cleeshay, destroy the dark forces of Jen Erik, and perhaps most vitally, learn important lessons about themselves as they travel the pathways of Painsteak-Eng Xpozishon? However, being written in Jade’s Dimension, the story gets a life of its own and chaos ensues as Sues invade the heart of J.A.D.E.D.. Cassie and Marek are forced to find the heart of the story, watching happily as they find the Evil Unicorns of Very Evil Evilness and the Dark Lord of Butterflyland killing the Sues with no help from the elite Agents. Then they meet the twelve-foot-tall cannibalistic rabbits and everything goes to hell. Oh, and the heroine is a prostitute. No, really. Not sure if it’ll be in this or if I should split it into a separate fic, but I’m going to be brutally skewering clichés. For instance, the brave young princess comes to rescue the cowardly knight from the dragon’s evil clutches. Yeah, I’ll probably split it, or I’ll have too much going on.

Cassie and Marek: A Short, Relaxing Holiday: Cassie and Marek, having earned a vacation, step through the Interdimensional Portal to some tropical island in an unidentified fandom. But, honestly, do you really think the universe will let them do that? A malfunction catapults the two assassins into each other’s host fics, Cassie being trapped in Fable: Shadows over Albion, Marek in Harry Potter and the Correcting of Past Mistakes. Chaos ensues as Cassie tries to avoid being sold to a brothel by a group of slavers and Marek flees the wrath of Cassie’s father, who is understandably angry when he finds an unknown man in his daughter’s room. The clones left behind to cover for the assassins aren’t any use either as they obviously have no memory of what has happened. Even worse, it turns out everyone’s different. Most people are evil… including the clones. The assassins come to the conclusion that the multiverse sucks

Cassie and Marek: A Very Long Non-Day In The Life: Also known as An Undetermined Amount of Time In The Life. This started out as just a collection of scenes that I couldn’t place anywhere else in CaM but turned into a proper story of the two daring assassins, including some of their other missions, such as saving the Fellowship of the Ring in Moria from an army of Sues and showing what really happened to the Enterprise-D. It’ll be fun. This may include Hermione’s inter-universe journey to teach denizens of the multiverse about SPUTUM, Society for the Protection of Unique Trolls and their non-Ugly Mothers, and Marek’s quest to find support for SPURT, Society for… well… you don’t want to know. It’s a weird charity.

It Came From A Hat: Season One: This is going to be my attempt to get you all to commit suicide. I’m going to grab a hat. I’m going to write all the names of characters from a fandom onto little pieces of paper. Then I’m going to pick out two names. These will form the pairing for a oneshot. *hears people commit suicide* Woohoo! Each chapter will be a oneshot and will be any fandom I know well. I will accept requests for other fandoms, but it will have to be one I’m familiar with. I’m splitting this fic into ‘seasons’. Why? Because I can. Each season will be a oneshot from every fandom on my list. At the end of every season (or in the middle if I feel like it), I will include one crossover oneshot and one reader-chosen pairing. For the chosen pairing, some rules apply. One: No slash or male gayfic (Canon slash). I will consider femslash or female gayfic, but it’s unlikely and all depends on the pairing. I don’t think I can do good slash and good male slash from me would be very unlikely. Two: Crossovers will be admitted as long as it’s not wildly strange (e.g. Buffy/Teletubbies). Three: Nothing involving necrophilia or anything that could possibly be linked to that Resident Evil X fic. Value your innocence, people. Four: No incestuous (etc) relationships unless the request for it is overwhelming. Which is unlikely. Five: I will not accept some characters due to a lack of characterisation in Canon. It would be like making an OC, which is too much work for a simple oneshot.

Planned relationships: And the lottery numbers are…

X Versus Y: Season One: For years, an argument has swept the face of the Earth, unceasing as people compare logic and non-logic in an effort to win. Who would win: X or Y? Now, this question is finally answered by Jade, who has opened dimensional portals and dragged in characters from every fandom he can think of. Who would win: Charizard (Pokémon) or Godzilla (Zilla to the Japanese)? Master Chief (Halo) or Spiderman (Spiderman)? Angelus (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars)? Cyclops (X-Men) or Liara T’Soni (Mass Effect)? I have only the faintest idea, but it’s going to be fun finding out. You can submit your own suggestions for characters, fights and victories to me, but there are some rules. One: No original characters. Two: All fights must take place between characters of different fandoms. The only exception is if the characters have never fought before. Three: Only rarely will tag-team or free-for-all fights be allowed. Four: The best fights are totally psychotic (e.g. Dipsy (Teletubbies) versus Pumba (The Lion King)). Let the fights begin?

Preludes: Season One: This fic will be stretching the boundaries of FF’s ‘no interactive fics’ rule. While I’m not asking for you to decide where the plot goes (though you’re free to throw ideas at me at any time), I will be asking you what I should do. As you can see, I have far too many ideas and far too little time to do them in. So I have composed a short chapter, these ‘preludes’, for some of my Harry Potter ideas and you are to pick which one is the best. You can pick more than one, even all of them, but I would prefer if you attempted to pick a favourite and stick with it. These chapters may be the prologue/first chapters to each fic, but they may just be scenes that will never be part of the story, but will set the tone and plot of the fic well enough so that you can choose, but short enough so that it doesn’t evolve into a fic spontaneously. Prelude Seasons will be done for any fandom where I have too many separate stories to deal with (that usually aren’t even listed here). Each Season will deal with only one fandom and this one is for Harry Potter. The next one will probably be Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Buffy the Vampire Slayer or, hell, Harry Potter again.

Normal Stories (No sequels… planned)

Harry Potter

Sophie Potter and Destiny’s Twist: AU. Harry Potter fic, where James and Lily had a girl instead of a boy. This one will be hopefully decent instead of the so-called ‘stories’ that the Suethors write. This fic will only change what is necessary to be changed. Nothing else will be affected, which is a main problem with Suefics.

Voldemort’s Legend: AU. One of my few one-shots. Damn I wish more of my stories were this short. When Ginny dies during childbirth, Harry is left to care for his baby daughter while struggling to maintain his sanity. But, as he learns not to blame his daughter for his love’s death, he slowly pulls back from the brink of self-destruction. However, tragedy follows Harry wherever he goes, striking down yet another loved one. And this time, Harry can’t cope. This plot was changed when I found a few massive plot holes lurking in the original storyline that I couldn’t plug up. Plus, this plot gets me more emotional than the last so that means it’s better. The original plot was this: “When Ginny is killed by an unmarked Death Eater a few years after Voldemort’s death, Harry is left to care for his baby daughter. I haven’t worked out the ending exactly, but it’s not happy.” Oh, really, Jade? I never would have guessed for an angst story. I was expecting hugs and bunnies! *mutters under breath* Anyway, I did work out the ending eventually and it sucked. This one is good… in my opinion anyway. Oh, and since the new plot currently has nothing to do with Voldemort, I’m trying to come up with a new title.

Harry Potter and the Fight for Freedom: AU. The spiritual predecessor to Sophie Potter and Destiny’s Twist (sort of), though not connected in any other way. Starting in Order of the Phoenix and continuing onto the then-unreleased Deathly Hallows, it tells the story of Alexia Potter, Harry’s twin sister. They fight at every turn, from the vindictive Umbridge and the traitorous Dumbledore… then their fic was cancelled and they were placed in cryogenic stasis. Finally, after months of experimentation being performed on their helpless forms, the author found a way to create Sophie Potter and Destiny’s Twist without it being too Sueish. Shortly afterwards, Alexia and her fellow characters were humanely destroyed for the good of all Canon.

Planned relationships: Harry/Ginny (human male/human female), Ron/Hermione (human male/human female), Alexia/George (human female/human male)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/War

(Cancelled – Due to Mary Sue infection)

Harry Potter and the New War: AU. The spiritual predecessor to CoPM. Set ten years after Half-Blood Prince. Harry and Ginny are the last magical warriors for the Light side. Voldemort has destroyed everyone else and is moving on their latest hiding spot. To protect the Muggles with them, they leave for another reality. They hoped to escape the horrors of war in their new home, but the war follows them. This fic was nuked with extreme prejudice at some point in 2006. The army of Sues contained within are all missing, presumed dead. No Sue has yet survived orbital bombardment, usually because it’s the last thing they expect (even the ones with precognition).

Planned relationships: Harry/Ginny (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/War

(Cancelled – Due to a Sirius lack of logic in the plot. May be resurrected if the Sues stay down)

Harry Potter and Voldemort’s Apprentice: AU. The spiritual predecessor to Harry Potter and the Dimming Light. Harry is taken from the doorstep of Privet Drive before Petunia wakes up to find him. Voldemort trains him as his son and heir, but an encounter with Ginny Weasley changes everything. After kidnapping her, Harry and Ginny manage to kill Voldemort before the author ran out of ideas for a Dark!Harry story. The characters have now been mutated into their current forms and wait for the new fic to take shape.

Planned relationships: Harry/Ginny (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Tragedy/Angst/War/Romance

(Cancelled – Due to general cheesiness. May bring back from the dead after Dimming Light)

Harry Potter and the Dimming Light: AU. Set after Deathly Hallows. Harry, terrified of his upcoming death, makes a deal with Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. In exchange for sparing his life, Harry becomes Voldemort’s apprentice. Fending off the attacks of jealous Death Eaters, Harry rapidly rises to Voldemort’s second-in-command. Seeing a chance, Harry brutally eliminates Voldemort and takes command of the Death Eaters, who recognise him as the new leader. But, instead of coordinating with the surviving Order members to bring down the Death Eaters, Harry finds the power he commands too tempting to let go. As, one by one, his old friends are brought before him, he relives the moments that brought him to this point. And when Ginny is captured, Harry is forced to make a decision that will change the future of the entire world, one way or another.

But instead of using Floo powder, he accidentally throws confiscated Muggle crack into the fire. Although he gets home safely, the rest of the Wizarding world isn’t so lucky. The crack infects the entire Floo network, transforming people as they use it. And nobody knows why.

Harry Potter and the Dying Rose: AU. Set after Deathly Hallows (excluding the epilogue). For years, the Potter and Malfoy families have hated each other. Ginny never forgot Draco’s broken promise while Draco refuses to forgive Harry’s killing of his father in a duel. The rift has come close to all out war a number of times, with magical families having to choose a side. But as their children, Scorpius Malfoy and Chloe Potter, head off to Hogwarts, everything changes. They’ve grown up to hate the opposing family, but neither can deny an underlying attraction between them. Can Draco set aside his grudge and put Scorpius’s happiness first? And will Ginny let the two families unite, or will she do everything in her power to destroy the developing bond between the children? This fic used to be purely Draco and Harry anger, but I decided to replace Harry with Ginny for the most part as it’s something I’ve never seen before.

Harry Potter and the Last Battlefield: AU. Set after Deathly Hallows. Five years after Voldemort’s death, all the Death Eaters have been killed or thrown into Azkaban. But Harry isn’t satisfied. Too many died hunting Voldemort’s supporters. Taking matters into his own hands, he sets out to reverse it all. He goes back in time and plans to kill Voldemort before he can make the first Horcrux. But something goes wrong and he is thrown fourteen years too far. Unable to kill a defenceless baby, Harry sneaks into the orphanage and kidnaps the young Tom Riddle. Now he faces the greatest battle of all: parenthood.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Rock Band: This is unlikely to ever get off the ground given my total lack of song-writing ability (see original CoPM). Basically, I’ve had an idea to do a Harry Potter… are you sitting down? Good… a Harry Potter musical. Feel free to scream. No-one will think the less of you. Then consider what it’ll be like written by me. *hears the countless people scream in horror and grins* Excellent. This is unlike the usual ones where Dumbledore randomly decides that a musical would be a great thing (supposedly thanks to that High School Musical film which will likely cause me to die if I ever watch it). The only good one like that is written SilverWolf and has Dumbledore doing a play of Cinderella Rides Again. *chuckle* This fic is a musical of the Harry Potter books, which I’ve never seen before. I’m not sure if I’ll split it between up for each book, or have it all in one. Fear it all…

Crystal Clear: A one-shot set near the end of DH. Doubt descends as Harry walks to his death, but a talk with Ginny unwittingly gives him the strength to carry on and a new hope for the future - even if he isn't in it. Harry Potter and the Ties That Bind: AU. Set after DH, but ignoring the epilogue. Harry and Ginny are engaged and the wedding is just around the corner. But when Harry’s job as an Auror puts him into a short coma, Ginny realises that she wouldn’t be able to cope if Harry died in the line of duty. Abandoning him at the altar, Ginny vanished. Harry is devastated, but slowly builds his life up again with the help of his friends. But when Ginny suddenly returns to England on what would have been their tenth anniversary, Harry is torn in two: does his heart belong to the woman who helped him to love again or is he forever bound to the one who betrayed his trust, whatever her reasons for doing so?

Harry Potter and the Poppy Fields: AU. Set after DH, with the exclusion of the epilogue and the penultimate chapter ‘The Flaw in the Plan’. The war is lost. Harry failed to destroy Voldemort in the Battle of Hogwarts and now the world is going to pay. Managing to escape with the help of Kreacher, Ginny struggles to round up resistance to Voldemort’s rule, but runs into some firm opposition. The Wizarding part of Britain is defeated, accepting their new leader out of fear. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Cloak: This fic has been bouncing around in my head for over a year, always at the back, always trying to find ways of coming into being. While DH proved that I was correct with most of my suspicions about Snape, it didn’t make this fic any more tangible. If I can fit it in without shredding Canon, I’ll write it. If not, go bother someone else. This is going to be another slight Suethor smackdown, like Sophie Potter and Destiny’s Twist, where I write a common theme with the hope of making it seem at least somewhat plausible and, more importantly, good. This fic deals with that eternal question of ships… no, not Draco *rolls eyes*… what would happen if Hermione and Snape did somehow get involved? How would anyone take it? What would Voldemort’s reaction be like (I know I can do that accurately)? And would their love survive through their choice of sides in the war? I hope that, if I do ever find a way to make it work (ideas always appreciated), you’ll give it a try, even if you normally hate the pairing.

Harry Potter and the Master of Stealth: AU. Set after OotP. After Harry is attacked by Death Eaters, the Order of the Phoenix deems it fit to assign him a permanent protector. Tonks volunteers and goes to live with Harry in Privet Drive, teaching him spells that the Ministry doesn’t deem him ready for in an attempt to keep him alive. But as Tonks teaches Harry and Harry cares for the wounded Tonks, they find an attraction slowly building up between them. Harry Potter and the Last Spell: I blame my maths exam for lasting for two hours when I only needed one. It enabled me to spend the rest of the exam coming up with this insane plot. I’ve never seen this plot before, so it’ll be interesting. When Harry Potter receives his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, he is ecstatic and immediately begins to look forward to it with every fibre of his being. When he finally gets there, however, he is heartbroken to discover that he actually has no magic and that he is what the Wizarding World calls a Squib. Trapped between two worlds, Harry is completely out of his league when his parent’s murderer attempts to finish the job he started ten years before.

After a murder happens mere days later, Harry begins to suspect that there is something dreadfully wrong in the school and introduces a strict set of rules for all students and teachers as he interrogates his suspects. Searching for Home: A sequel to Legend. Lara, now knowing about her mother’s true fate, becomes obsessed with finding a way into and, more importantly, out of Avalon. Worse, Amanda, furious at Lara’s ruination of her work, plans to attack and destroy Lara’s life, like Lara destroyed hers. Mass Effect

Mass Effect: Disturbing the Hives: Set two thousand one hundred years before The Reaping. The Citadel races haven’t advanced very far into the galaxy. They are still figuring out the little details on how to coexist peacefully. But they are forced to stand together when a salarian ship is thrust across the galaxy, accidentally starting a war with the rachni, an insect species with a hive mind. And as the Citadel numbers dwindle, the rachni seem ever more numerous. These fics aren’t in the Epic section because they feature no characters from The Reaping (or if they do, they’re minor characters in either this or TR).

After they attack a number of Citadel-controlled worlds in order to make room for their own race, the rest of the Citadel races respond. But the asari realise that the Citadel races will lose, just as they would have done against the rachni. Only this time, they can’t fight numbers with numbers. A combined asari and salarian fleet is gathered to find a way to defeat the krogan at any cost.

The Citadel races have come up with a number of theories, ranging from a lethal plague to infighting. The truth, however, is that the Reapers wiped them out. The Systems Alliance can usually defeat the pitiful attacks with a minimum of effort, but the scale of the attack on Mindoir is one that has never been seen before. Dawn of the Dead (2004 Remake)

Requiescat In Pace: Set from the start until after the end of the film (as I write this I have no idea exactly how long after). I suppose I could have done the original George A. Romero movie, but a) running zombies are vital for some planned scenes and b) while some characters of the remake were morons, only two (Nicole and Steve) equalled the sheer jaw-dropping stupidity of the original’s n00bs. Anyway… When survivors travel through Everett, Wisconsin, in the aftermath of the zombie plague, they discover a videotape at a shop called Andy’s Gun Works. Feeling pity for Andy, they decide to journey to find his young daughter and try to bring her to safety, if she’s still alive. As you can see, I blame The Lost Tape in the Special Features. Pokémon: The Dark Knight: Seriously, don’t ask. My little brother forced me to watch two of the movies and I thought that some of those battles were actually decent. Then I thought, ‘Ha! Venusaur got pwned by Clone!Venusaur!’ and so on. And the music is damn brilliant for something like this. So this fic got spawned. And I’m not letting my little brother read it. Trust me, what I’ve written so far… it’s not pretty. Blood, gore and teenage rapist paedophiles (don’t ask!). But, if you read it and stick with it, you get to see Ash killed, permanently this time. Hey, that’s got to count for something! Lol. But, anyway, the plot, so far, is a mysterious figure in black armour is terrorising Pokémon trainers throughout Hoenn, stealing Pokémon. Ash soon finds himself in conflict with the Dark Knight and Pikachu is kidnapped and all of Ash’s other Pokémon severely wounded. Ash and his friends have to find out who the Dark Knight is and figure out how to rescue Pikachu. But Team Aqua start to mess with forces beyond their comprehension and activate the storm of the era. Pokémon: Eye of the Beholder: A game novelisation of Ruby and Sapphire. Therefore, both Teams are bad guys, but can help out if it suits their purposes. Callie Redfield has waited for the day she turns sixteen since she was a young girl: it marks the day she can become an official Pokémon trainer. As she journeys the land of Hoenn with her new partner, a Torchic with a fiery temper to suit it, she starts to rack up battle after battle, beginning to earn her Badges and gaining respect from her father. But her journey through the trainer ranks is disturbed when she learns of a threat to everything she knows; Teams Magma and Aqua want to devastate the natural ecology of the world to suit their own purposes. With a few good friends, she starts to turn the tide of the battle but every person has their limits. When she meets her captors, she realises that she is trapped in an illegal Pokémon death match tournament. Halo

Halo: Then There Was Darkness: AU. Unlike all of my other fics, I haven’t decided if this title has anything to do with the story. To be honest, I don’t even know the story. I’m making it up as I go along. What I can tell you at the moment is that another Spartan comes into play as, unless I’m wrong, not all thirty-three Spartan survivors were named. So that gives me room to play. It’s AU because this Spartan also survives the Battle of Reach with no injuries. The Covenant capture her on the Pillar of Autumn. Master Chief rescues her at the same time as Captain Keyes on the Truth and Reconciliation. That’s all I know.

Baser Instincts: AU. Set mostly after Stargate: Continuum, but starts shortly before the Stargate: Ark of Truth. Ba’al, the last of the System Lords, is soon to be executed for his crimes against the galaxy. But that does not mean that he is the last of the Goa’uld. A few symbiotes have captured hosts and a making a bid to control the galaxy as an all-powerful, utterly supreme System Lord. Opposing them are SG-1 and the Tau’ri, along with the Free Jaffa, who will never again submit to slavery, and a few of the more advanced human civilisations. But when a new Gou’ald rises to power, SG-1 is intrigued enough to find out more about them. For Sirea is different from others and understands why the System Lords died out. Wielding her power against the other Goa’uld, and not just to gain supremacy over them, she attempts to ally herself with the Tau’ri and the Free Jaffa. Spectres of the Alterans: This is going to be my attempt to create a complete, coherent history for the Alterans/Ancients. Sadly, I believe that Atlantis, while brilliant, has thrown up far too many plot holes. While they may be explained later (or in Season Three/Four which I haven’t got on DVD yet), these slightly spoil my enjoyment of the show. Did the Ancients encounter the Wraith or did they create them? Currently, I’m going with the latter (explaining why I hit the synonym button for the title), but I really have no clue. The main piece of evidence would be the Wraith’s written language. It’s a version of Ancient. And if the Ancients gave them the written language, as one friend suggested, how the bloody hell did they ever evolve to be such a threat?

Anyway, once you’ve wrapped your head around that, here’s the blurb. Theresa has been in the hands of Twinblade for close to twelve years now. CSI

CSI: Unnatural: Set just after the Season One episode ‘Boom’. Nick still grieves for Kristy and takes the case of a murdered prostitute to try and find some closure, against Grissom’s better judgement. Warrick and Sara investigate the deaths of two young women who were found naked and possibly raped. Catherine looks into a robbery of an elderly couple and has to consider their grandson as the prime suspect.

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Bonded to Duty: Set during ‘The Perfect Mate.’ A short story about Picard’s feelings as he watches Kamala, the woman who captured his heart like no other, is forced to marry a man, who cares nothing for her, in order to bring peace between worlds. May include other scenes between Kamala and Picard.

Planned relationships: Picard/Kamala (underlying tension) (human male/human female), Alrik/Kamala (human male/human female)

Genres: Angst/Romance

Bonded to Love: AU. Set during ‘The Perfect Mate.’ In the original timeline, Kamala’s bond to Picard copies his sense of honour and duty and she makes the decision to obey her new personality and marry Alrik for peace. In this story, the bond is too strong and she would not be able to fulfil her duties to Alrik. Picard has to find some way to forge a peace between Krios and Valt Minor while under the threat of losing his ship and command when Starfleet Command learns about the incident.

Planned relationships: Picard/Kamala (human male/human female)

The Last Rain: Set during ‘The Inner Light.’ When Picard is struck by the beam of an alien probe, he lives a whole new life on the planet Kataan as Kamin, an iron-weaver in the town of Ressik just before its sun goes supernova. While Kamin’s life was quite detailed, it didn’t answer all of my questions about it. When did Picard truly forget about the Enterprise and his crew? How did Batai die? When was Meribor born? This fic will be my way of filling in those gaps. I hope I do this wonderful and heartbreaking episode justice.

Planned relationships: Picard (Kamin)/Eline (human male/human female), Meribor/Dannick (human female/human male)

Personal Logs: Lwaxana Troi: Based on the events in ‘Dark Page.’ The personal logs of Lwaxana Troi began on stardate 30620, the year she got married. Soon after, there is a seven year gap; a gap that encompasses all references to Kestra, the first daughter that was tragically drowned in an accident. This fic will attempt to piece together some of Lwaxana’s life by way of her personal logs. It will span from the very first log, all the way up to the events of ‘Dark Page’ and possibly for longer.

Planned relationships: Lwaxana/Andrew (Betazoid female/human male), Deanna/Riker (mentioned) (half-human half-Betazoid female/human male)

Star Trek: Other (Doesn’t fit into any specific series)

Broken Crown: Game novelisation of Star Trek: Bridge Commander. When the Vesuvi star goes supernova with no explanation, destroying a Federation terraforming operation and severely damaging the starship in orbit, killing its captain, Starfleet searches for any answers it can find. The inexperienced first officer of the Galaxy-class USS Dauntless NCC-71879 is given command of the vessel and thrust into a conspiracy that threatens to erupt into all-out war with the Cardassian Empire and their mysterious new allies… a war that the Federation, still wounded from the Dominion war, cannot possibly hope to survive.

Planned relationships: Ex-First Officer (haven’t decided name yet)/Saffi Larson (human male/human female), Kiska/Miguel (Bajoran female/human male) (or possibly Ex-First Officer/Kiska, Miguel/Saffi. I like both)

Star Wars

Shades of Grey: AU. Set after RotS. After hearing rumours about his child, Darth Vader investigates the claims that Senator Bail Organa is hiding his daughter. Discovering the claims to be true, Vader takes what is his and trains the baby Leia in the ways of the Sith. I haven’t really figured out what happens after that, but it will involve some battles between Leia and Luke.

Ni Kar’tayl Gar Darasuum: It could potentially into the Canon timeline, but it’s probably AU. Set after AotC. Having witnessed the damage to the clone forces on Geonosis, a defective ARC trooper who managed to blend in as normal when he should have become a Null leaves the Grand Army of the Republic to try and do something the clone never thought he would have a chance to do: live free and have a normal life. But with two squads of Republic commandos, a Null ARC, a Jedi and a Separatist battalion after him, all with conflicting missions, A-70 RO realises that the galaxy will never have a true place for his kind. The title is Mandalorian for “I love you.” Hey, you should have seen my other titles.

The Last Stand: After witnessing her master’s death on Geonosis, Padawan Mulan Etra tries to continue on in her training. But when an opportunity arrives to destroy the man who killed her master, Count Dooku, she takes it with both hands, even knowing that she is walking the path of the dark side.

Ner Jetii-ika, Ner Vod’ika, Ner Mando: The title is Mandalorian for “My Jedi, My Comrade, My Mandalorian”. This is Canon, to an extent. It’s a missing scene from Republic Commando: Triple Zero. It’s the love scene between Darman and Etain. Why? Because I think that it deserves showing (though I understand why Karen Traviss didn’t write it herself). I think that the uncertainty and the awkwardness and the rule-breaking needs to be seen. I hope I can do it well.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight

Red Sun: AU. A Jedi Outcast fic. Highly disappointed with the lack of the Dark side ending, Desaan travels to Earth to give Raven Software a piece of his mind. Sadly, they don’t listen to him and he finds me and gives me another plot bunny. What if Kyle had fallen to the lure of the Dark side? Would the Jedi be able to stop him? Would Kyle become the new Emperor (again)? And would anyone figure out what the phreg Desaan was doing with that thing on Yavin? No, seriously, what was it? The answers are, in order: chaos, possibly, yes, no, I don’t know. There you go. No need to read the fic now (read anyway).

Planned relationships: Kyle/Jan (underlying tension) (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Angst/Tragedy/War/Romance (possible)

Dead Zone: A Jedi Academy game novelisation. I’m going to try and put some character into these lifeless puppets that Raven created and unleashed on us. There was absolutely no emotional connection with the characters for me. Compare to KotOR. I did the dark side and I had an emotional connection with Carth, because I’d grown to like him and feel sympathy for him. Betraying him was easy when I forced myself to do it, but I still felt guilty. That’s what a good game does. Academy, on the other hand, sucked. I happily killed Rosh, if only to shut the git up. Seriously, did anyone like him? And… err… in case you were looking for a synopsis… after the Dark force energy is drained from a Massassi temple on Yavin IV, the Jedi slowly unravel a deadly conspiracy to unleash the power of an ancient Sith Lord. Trying to stop the cultists, they have to rely on their students to avoid spreading themselves too thinly. And so, the weight of the galaxy will rest on the shoulders of a young Padawan, only newly initiated. Oh, God, that sounds rubbish. Bit like Academy, eh?

Starship Troopers

Rendezvous Point: Set after Starship Troopers II, but only in that the mind-bugs are there. And they came from the cartoon. Anyway… as the Federation pushes the swarm of bugs back from planet to planet, human morale is rising swiftly. But, as a fleet prepares to bombard a bug-infested planet, all contact is lost with them. A scout flotilla, home to the 23rd Space Squadron, the Talons, is sent to investigate and encounters a brand new species of bug. Retreating from the devastating defeat, the intelligence gathered by the battle allows the Federation to understand exactly how the bugs became so widespread. As the few survivors from the Talons are reposted to a counter-attacking fleet, they swear that the bugs will find nowhere to hide, not even in space.

Raid: Kills Bugs Dead!: A parody of Starship Troopers I, II and III. Possibly also the cartoon if I can find a DVD of it. After a small meteorite crashes to Earth, causing devastation to a three inch-wide radius and killing a number of amoeba, the United Federation of Planets… I mean, the Rebel Alliance… I mean, the good guys, declare war on a newly-discovered race of bugs, blaming them for the not-so-catastrophe. Armed with the finest military-grade insecticide, the good guys wander hopelessly into trap after trap and slowly come to the conclusion that the bugs may be intelligent. Trying to reason with them is rather hopeless, however, as it turns out they are angered by Will Smith’s actions in Men in Black. In an attempt for peace, Smith is sued by the Federation for traumatizing cockroach children but, unprepared to wait for it to come to court, the bugs unleash their obviously-impossible superweapon: giant lava-spewing bluebottles. And then more stuff happens that the author can’t be bothered to elaborate on.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man: Genesis 2.0: Based off of the movieverse, due to my having little knowledge of any version of the comics. Set around five years after Spider-Man 3. Peter Parker and Mary-Jane are happily married, having found ways to cope with their differences. But when a major genetics lab is opened in New York and an accident occurs, Spider-Man is faced with multiple enemies that remind him strongly of Venom. Possessing all of his powers, and then some, but none of his conscience, Spider-Man is quickly overpowered by his enemies and seeks help from other superheroes, including the Fantastic Four, and even his villains, specifically newcomers Chainsword and Nemesis. But then, to add to Spider-Man’s troubles, Mary-Jane becomes pregnant.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Hole in the World: A game novelisation of Oblivion. When a young woman wakes up in the Imperial City dungeons, she is terrified, unable to remember the slightest part of her life, not even her name. A chance encounter with the Emperor frees her from the prison and she starts on a quest to find next ruler of Cyrodil, all the while trying to halt the return of Mehrunes Dagon, Prince of Destruction, and attempting to find answers to her own existence.

The Inheritance Cycle

Meat the Sixth: A somewhat-slashy and fairly smutty… interpretation of one early scene in Brisingr. Nothing technically wrong (I could probably put it as a K rating because the little ones aren’t going to realise anything) because it’s all innuendo. Lots and lots of innuendo which Paolini probably should have thought of when he wrote the book.

Planned relationships: Eragon/Roran (sort of) (human male/human male), Roran/Saphira (sort of) (human male/draconic female)

Genres: Humour/Parody/Romance

(Complete)

Meat the Seventh: See above. It’s all Paolini’s fault. And again, possibly K rating, but I’m not going to risk the admins taking a different view.

Planned relationships: Eragon/Sloan (sort of) (human male/human male)

Genres: Humour/Parody/Romance

The Lord of the Rings

Terra Incognita: This is sort of a reverse girl-falls-into-Middle-Earth fic. I know, the horror, the horror! I’m still sorting out the plot (and if I can do it while still fitting in Canon), but here’s what I’ve got so far. A pregnant young woman from modern Earth falls into Middle-Earth and eventually finds her way to Rivendell (don’t worry, she never figures out where she is or screws with the timeline). Giving birth, she pleads with the elves to look after her child before she passes away. Twenty years later, her daughter leaves her home to find the place her mother wrote about in her diary. But when she finds it, she realises that Earth isn’t the best place for a human raised by elves.

The Banned and the Banished (A.K.A. The Kelvish Scrolls)

Wit’ch Bane: AU. I’ve had this idea in my head for a long time, but I’m making this summary up as I go along because it’s been ages since I read these books. After Elena is captured by… Big Bad (can’t remember name (I’ll call him Glorgathon, Devourer of Worlds)), she is broken to his will rapidly until she becomes his most faithful servant. When she is ordered to destroy her old friends, who have bravely tried to continue their journey, she is more than happy to comply. But, when she encounters them, she finds that the last innocent part of her soul won’t let them die without a fight.

Crossovers

The A.L.A. Uprising: A CoPM spin-off. Five hundred years before the events of YoP, the Abraxan Royal family is massacred in the Second Abraxan Civil War, plunging the planet into chaos. Only two known Royals survive, fleeing with the Loyalist fleet to the Andromeda galaxy. One hundred years later, Dante Redfield saves his sister, Mimi, from a brutal gangrape that opens his eyes to the full extent of Abraxa’s plight. He forms the Abraxan Liberation Army to attempt a return to the world as it was under the Royals, a world free of misogyny and a world where everyone had rights. But the road to peace is a long, harsh one as the Abraxan military opposes his every step. And when the Crelect Rebellion begins, the Abraxan Alliance is forced into war again, the A.L.A. forced to defend themselves from foreign attacks as well as domestic.

Planned relationships: Dante Redfield/Sarah Denzalas (human male/human female), Mimi Redfield/Alfes Dongran (human female/human male)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst/War

The Redfield Files: A CoPM spin-off. Over four centuries pass between Dante Redfield, founder of the now-terrorist A.L.A., and Kyle Redfield, Lieutenant Colonel of the Abraxan military. Over that time, there have been many famous Redfields: Corel Redfield, Dante’s daughter, who tries to fight the traitorous A.L.A. and pays for it with her life, yet restoring her family’s name; Wirq Redfield, a politician who stopped a war that could have destroyed half of the galaxy; Admiral Metath Redfield, Kyle’s uncle, who, almost single-handedly, repelled the Sylvanan invasion of Abraxa in the Third Abraxan Civil War and Taren Redfield, who was killed attacking the Crelect occupying the Krata colony. These are their stories.

Summer Days: A CoPM spin-off. Summer Fox is just an ordinary schoolgirl. Sure, she’s a witch, but that’s nothing unusual, right? Wrong. Although Summer’s life only gets really complicated when Chloe Potter enters it, her school days at Salem School of Magecraft and Sorcery weren’t the most pleasant. Becoming embroiled in a nation-wide scandal and getting entangled in a plot to murder the headmaster are nothing when it comes to working out her own burgeoning sexuality.

A Summer Night’s Dream: A CoPM spin-off. Summer is hit harder than anyone expected by Chloe’s death. She begins to experience vivid dreams of Chloe, dreams that slowly filter into real life until she can’t tell what’s real and what isn’t. Then Summer’s greatest desire and her worst nightmare collide in a brutal fashion.

Planned relationships: Chris/Rachel (human male/human female), Chloe/Summer (human female/human female)

Genres: Angst/Romance

(Pending review – I might be able to fit this into the main story)

The Markl Manoeuvre: A CoPM spin-off. Markl Lamar’s name is known throughout the Abraxan Alliance, much to his team’s annoyance at times. But the story of why this is so has never been told beyond the enigmatic reference to ‘The Markl Manoeuvre.’ This is the story of how Markl took command of a small fleet of four battlecruisers and led a successful assault against an A.L.A. force ten times stronger than his own.

Claw Vs Talon: A CoPM spin-off. The Third Abraxan Civil War lasted for six years and ended seventeen years before the events before YoP. In that time, numerous colonies on both sides were destroyed and two entire races were wiped out. The Sylvanans and the Talon were on opposing sides of the conflict and were responsible for some of the largest battles the Abraxan Alliance had seen for centuries. Though the Talon nearly joined the Halyl and the Kretar in extinction, they took billions of Sylvanans with them to the grave. The conflict between the races devastated the Alliance and led to a lasting hatred between the two species that threatens the Alliance’s existence in the Crelect War seventeen years later. This is why.

Dissension: A CoPM spin-off. While the Sylvanan’s conflict with the Talon was the cause for most of the destruction in the Third Abraxan Civil War, the other races in the Alliance weren’t just innocent bystanders. Abraxa, Halyl and Akarius join the Talon to defeat the Sylvanans, the Crelect, the Kretar and the Sperai. Whereas Claw Vs Talon focuses mainly on the Sylvanans and the Talon, Dissension is the whole story.

Accords: A CoPM spin-off. One hundred years after Dante Redfield’s death, Abraxa has come close to perfecting genetic engineering for stronger, smarter people and nano and mechanical upgrades to boost it even more. Naturally, the other races in the Alliance become nervous, seeing the potential military use for the technologies. It eventually culminated in the Second Philaxa Accord, with all three technologies banned across the Alliance. Contains an extended/deleted scene from YoP.

The Final Countdown: A CoPM spin-off. I can’t believe I forgot about this one, though, to be fair, I was, and still am, considering putting it in the main fic. When the Goa’uld launch a surprise attack thirteen years before the events of YoP, Abraxa is completely unprepared and watches in horror as their orbital defences are completely destroyed in seconds. With only three ships battle-worthy, the already under-bombardment Abraxa must hold out for a day against an enemy that outguns them until reinforcements arrive in the form of the thousand-strong Second Fleet. And yes, I do have that song stuck in my head. Anyone know where I can get it (hell, who wrote it?)?

Torrid: A FoD spin-off. Due to some people’s aversion to sexual scenes, this was written as a separate fic and is only hinted at in FoD. Harry and Ginny’s first time is filled with hopes, fears, pleasure and, most of all, love. This is my second attempt at a graphic sex scene, but I think I did all right this time. More may follow if I can come up with ideas to separate them.

Planned relationships: Harry/Ginny (human male/human female)

Genres: Romance

(Complete – May require slight editing to account for new FoD scenes)

The System Lord of the Rings: A Lord of the Rings/Stargate fusion. A fusion is a crossover, but instead of the characters meeting each other, one set replaces the other. I have SG-1 trying to throw a ring into the Fires of Celestis. It’s half humour, half a serious piece of work. I’m having trouble working it out. All that’s really definite at the moment is that Daniel ‘plays’ Gandalf. Lol. What? They both die, one constantly. Dying is sort of in Daniel’s character.

Planned relationships: Jack/Sam (human male/human female), Daniel/Vala (human male/human female), Teal’c/Ishta (possible) (Jaffa male/Jaffa female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Humour/Angst

Chaos Reigns: A Harry Potter/The Immortals crossover. Basically, Daine and Numair etc have to help defeat Voldemort, while Harry etc helps to defeat Ozorne. The Muggles on both sides are caught in the middle, Tortall’s citizens being attacked by Death Eaters while Earth is attacked by thousands of Stormwings etc.

Planned relationships: Harry/Daine (human male/human female), Ron/Hermione (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Angst/Horror/War

(On hold) (Pending plot)

Harry Potter and the Mouth of Hell: A Harry Potter/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover. Harry, furious and scared by the revelation of the prophecy, flees to America and the one place he knows of which could hide his presence: Sunnydale, California. While aware of the immense vampire population, Harry discovers the existence of far more when he is saved by a young woman, a Slayer. Joining forces with her, he manages to find the courage to face Voldemort and, more importantly, a meaning to go on after the completion of the prophecy. Set after OotP and Harry meets the Scoobies in Buffy Season Six, likely after ‘Once More With Feeling’ and before ‘Tabula Rasa’.

Planned relationships: Buffy/Spike (human female/vampire male), Buffy/Angel (underlying tension) (human female/vampire male), Buffy/Riley (underlying tension) (human female/human male), Willow/Tara (human female/human female), Willow/Kennedy (human female/human female), Xander/Anya (human male/ex-vengeance-demon human female), Faith/Wood (not a euphemism, all you non-Buffy fans. That’s the guy’s name) (human female/human male), Ron/Hermione (human male/human female), Harry/Ginny (underlying tension) (human male/human female), Harry/Dawn (human male/ex-Key human female)

Buffy the Goa’uld Slayer: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Stargate crossover. Yes, it’s a cliché that the portal in ‘The Gift’ is a Stargate wormhole. But I’m hoping to avoid the cliché slightly by actually remembering that Buffy’s body is still on Earth! Also, this is set after Season Five of Stargate, something else I’ve never seen. Buffy’s soul is sent through the portal to the Nox homeworld. They recreate Buffy’s body, knowing that she is a Slayer. Buffy quickly gets involved in Earth’s war against the Goa’uld, realising that, disregarding the odd hellgod, there are bigger fish to fry out in the dark depths of space. Then more hellgods arrive in the form of the Ori. Buffy’s life just got more complicated… again.

Planned relationships: Jack/Sam (human male/human female), Daniel/Vala (human male/human female), Willow/Tara (human female/human female), Xander/Anya (human male/ex-vengeance demon human female), Buffy/Teal’c (possible) (human female/Jaffa male)

Fandom Wars: Flames in Space: A sci-fi crossover. I’m using every sci-fi I’ve ever seen (with the exclusion of Farscape (only seen the mini-series), Red Dwarf (only one ship has guns and they’re pretty pathetic) and Crusade (don’t know squat about Babylon 5)) and pitting their ships (and sometimes their crews) against each other in the name of fun. And also to settle the biggest argument of all time in a non-biased way: Star Trek or Star Wars? No, really, it is non-biased. I love both fairly equally. I’m imagining such chaos as the Shadow of Intent (Halo) versus an Ori battlecruiser (Stargate: SG-1) and Home One (Star Wars) versus a Locust Mothership (Independence Day). And expect further chaos as I shove in The Fifth Element, Battlestar Galactica and Mass Effect. But the one I’m most looking forward to a Borg Sphere (Star Trek) versus the (non-Asgard upgraded) Odyssey (Stargate: SG-1/Stargate: Atlantis). Can the Borg adapt to a good old-fashioned P90? Answer: no, but that doesn’t stop them trying.

Trying to escape the once-loyal clones and warn Coruscant about the impending betrayal, they discover a small ring-shaped object floating through space. After being forced through it by the pursuing clones, they are thrown into another galaxy and into the middle of a war with an enemy every bit as deadly as the Sith.

However, when Starfleet investigates, they find it hard to believe that Riker did not destroy the ship himself. But a court-martial is the least of his worries. One by one, all of the survivors of the U.S.S. Charon NCC-180 start to die in mysterious circumstances. And Death won’t stop until the cycle is broken once and for all.

When the Elites locate what they believe to be a third Halo, they defend it against an onslaught of Covenant ships. But during the battle, something on the ringworld awakens. Transported to an entirely different galaxy, Shipmaster Sal’Rakma Osmatmee must decide whether to find a way back to his home or to help the Galactic Republic in their desperate war against the Sith. This may link in with Halo: Then There Was Darkness, where Sal first appears, but will likely only reference it vaguely so I can write both at once or this one before.

The (Un)Official Fanfiction University of Digital Pocket Monsters: In the style of OFUM and HFA comes this shocking piece of garbage written by yours truly. The reason it’s unofficial is because a) I still haven’t decided if I really want to commit to this and b) Miss Cam has never responded to any e-mail so I can’t ask permission. If I do end up trying, and she asks me to stop, I will delete it quite happily (unless I’ve been working on it for a year and a half, in which case I will delete it while grumbling a lot). When mysterious portals appear in the ceiling of people’s bedrooms, hundreds of fanfiction writers are abducted. Squeezed (literally) into 2D format, they find themselves stuck in a strange new world where Pokémon and Digimon teach them how to write in basic English. And the punishment for continuing to write badfic? Let’s just say that the Pokéball programming has been edited.

Follow Gil and Sara as they try and analyse why a river suddenly overflowed, taking with it nine helpless gothic horse riders. When characters from one dimension interact with their counterparts from the “true” dimension, chaos ensues. What if Voldemort was fighting against the tyranny of Dumbledore’s oppression (Harry Potter)? What if the Master Chief had died on Halo and became a member of the Flood (Halo)? What if the Clone Wars had stretched and that Anakin encountered Darth Vader (Star Wars)? What if Kraven hadn’t shot Lucien (Underworld)?

The Roads Not Taken (AU Fics)

The characters do something different to the main fic and, whether the change is big or small, it will have vast consequences. There are lots of ideas, so I’ve just created their own series. The title comes from the Stargate SG-1 Season 10 episode ‘The Road Not Taken,’ which also dealt with alternate realities. The Roads Not Taken only includes What If’s of my own stories. Fics that directly change Canon are listed in other sections. So the majority of these fics are What If’s of What If’s. If your brain isn’t hurting yet, read the original CoPM. That’ll make you reach for the Nurofen.

Fable: Homeward Bound: A SoA TRNT. Marek, just after he loses his family to the Oakvale raid, decides that being a Hero isn’t the life for him and he requests permission to leave the Guild. The Guildmaster gets him settled in with a family in Bowerstone and Marek beginning the long struggle of fitting in, when his world has been destroyed. Naturally, at the end of this fic, Marek and his friends will die horribly, so I’m focusing on the happier sides of this tale, with occasional angst. Well, wouldn’t you feel upset if your family were killed?

Planned relationships: Marek/Megan (human male/human female), Marek/Emily (underlying tension) (human male/human female)

Fable: A Hero’s Tragedy: A SoA TRNT. Marek has just defeated the Arena, the legendary testing ground for the Heroes. On the way back to Oakvale, he encounters his childhood friend, Sophie. Over the coming days, Marek and Sophie tentatively explore their deepening friendship. But can their love survive when it seems that everyone is out to get them?

Planned relationships: Marek/Sophie (human male/human female)

Genres: Action/Adventure/Romance/Tragedy/Angst

(Pending review – It’s looking more and more likely that the main elements of this story will be in SoA anyway, rendering this obsolete)

Fable: The Last Demon: A SoA TRNT. Marek has been locked in Bargate Prison for ten years, tortured day and night. His friends haven’t been able to get near to the prison and any rescue mission has been doomed from the start. Finally, Marek’s nemesis decides to have the Hero executed. Having nothing left to lose, Marek manages to escape by using spells he once swore never to use. The years behind bars have changed him. Albion won’t live to regret the day that Marek Altan died. His friends won’t want to survive the rise of Reltma Kaan. This fic was created by listening to Meatloaf’s ‘The Monster Is Loose’ one too many times. Also watching Star Trek II more times than is healthy. *nods* Yep. You guessed it. “KAAN!” *snicker*

Planned relationships: Marek/Sophie (flashbacks) (human male/human female), Marek/Sylana (human male/human female), Reltma/Sophie (underlying tension) (human male/human female), Reltma/Elvira (human male/human female)

Fable: Slaves to Love: A SoA TRNT. Marek manages to fight off his captors when the slavers who captured him try to take his newfound friend, Vivian. Although he is defeated and tortured for his disobedience, the slave master recognises the potential threat Marek would pose if he harmed Vivian and leaves the young woman alone. When they are freed by Marek’s friends, Vivian and he head to Oakvale to celebrate their liberty and their blooming love. But Marek’s nemesis will stop at nothing to defeat him and decides to use Vivian as bait.

Fable: Power’s Seduction: A SoA TRNT. With Bazerith having turned against Xarth for betraying her, she captures Marek and breaks his will completely. Now, both Xarth and Sophie have to find and stop Bazerith before she causes more destruction. As for Marek, Xarth plans to use him for something far more terrifying than Albion can imagine, while Sophie is unsure. Is he still her husband, the man who loved her… or has Bazerith changed him so utterly that he now obeys her every command?

Fable: The Whisper in the Storm: A SoA TRNT. This is an evil Marek story, but it focuses less on his cruelty and more on his relationship with Whisper. I know for a fact that I am not the only person who thinks that Whisper and the PC had some sort of attraction underneath their rivalry. I even hint at the possibility of a relationship in SoA, but never go beyond that. You don’t have to have read SoA to understand this as it is completely standalone (as long as you’ve played Fable). The only reason it’s in this section is because it uses the SoA characters.

Fable: Seeing the World Change: A SoA TRNT. One moment can change an entire future. Tripping over a root in their flight back to Oakvale, Theresa is left behind as Marek sprints onward, unknowing. Hiding from the pursuing bandits, Theresa hears her entire world destroyed by fire and steel. Picking her way through the wreckage, she is rescued by a Hero and taken to be trained. But, as her visions increase, she senses that Marek was supposed to have been the one saved, the one to grow into a powerful Hero. What kind of saviour will she make? And can she save the world when she believes that it should have been different?

Fable: Living Doll: A SoA TRNT. The day Oakvale was attacked, Marek’s mother had returned from one of her mysterious journeys. Theresa’s birthday should have been a wondrous occasion, but was instead filled with blood and death. But if Oakvale had been spared for just a few more days, what could have happened? Accepted into the Guild of Heroes, Marek and Theresa are ecstatic at living out their dreams. But when they receive word of the destruction of their home, they change dramatically. Will they turn into the very people they despise, or will they realise their missteps in time to stop?

Fable: Grave Danger: A SoA TRNT. Also jokingly known as CSI: Albion. When Marek loses his final conflict with Kolya, he is healed by the very man who just stabbed him. Instead of being an act of kindness, however, Kolya is just deciding what would be the death that would give Marek the most suffering. Six weeks later; Marek has disappeared from the face of Albion and his friends are becoming worried. Together, they set off to discover where he is and the cause of his likely death. But Kolya, anticipating their actions, tries desperately to stop them from making the gruesome discovery. While the plot is different, I probably did get the idea for this from CSI. Viewers will know what I mean (if not, you haven’t been paying attention) but the rest of you will just have to wait. And CSI: Albion is being seriously considered because that would be brilliant.

Planned relationships: Marek/Sophie (underlying tension) (human male/human female)

Fable: The Last Cullis Gate: A SoA TRNT. After capturing Theresa, Marek’s nemesis delves into her mind and discovers how Marek defeats him. Determined not to let that happen, he calls upon all of his strength to send Marek to a place where he cannot stop the coming Apocalypse: Seattle, 2019 AD. Marek, confused and afraid by this strange new world, tries to navigate the city’s many dangers, including traffic lights, a changed language and, worst of all, driving lessons. While making a new friend helps to quell the dreadful loneliness even in a city of millions, he is in deep trouble when he finds out that the police are ‘on his tail’ (whatever that means). As his stay in his new world becomes longer and longer, he slowly starts to give up hope of ever seeing his friends again. I’m considering having this be a crossover with Dark Angel, hence the time and place, but if not it’ll likely be somewhere I know slightly more about.

Finally submitting to Arfur’s requests, she earns enough money to keep Lily warm and full in the coldest winter they have ever known at the price of slowly losing the will to live. Taking the two young girls in, he begins to teach them how to unlock and wield their power and, after years of training, he finds himself with two very powerful servants, who far outstrip the Commandant in raw ability and instinctual finesse. Eep!: A CoPM TRNT. The characters of CoPM, aware of their fictional existence, become fed up with the author playing around with their lives. As I’ve created limits on Old Magic now, this fic may not spawn from the CoPM remake.

Never Winter: A FoD TRNT. The original Half a Life, before the plot wildly span away from the ending I wanted for HaL. So I just split it into two entirely different stories. Set a few years before The Phantom Menace. Harry and Kesla’s failed mission to take down the Night Lords has revealed the Jedi’s watching eye to the leaders of the major criminal organisation. In this version of history, instead of cutting back on operations and fading into the background, they launch a devastating terrorist attack on the Jedi Temple. While grieving over the loss of his daughter and wife, not to mention the unborn child in her womb, Harry requests permission to hunt the terrorists down. When the Jedi Council refuses due to the well of anguished fury within him, he leaves to do it himself, Kesla following him. But the lure of the Dark side is not easy to resist.

Kesla stuns Harry by admitting her crush on him and Harry is unsure what to do, even though he finds that the feeling is mutual. The Mistake: A TRNT of Harry Potter and the Dying Rose. This fic was created after I wondered about the limits of Polyjuice Potion. For instance, if a man is attracted to a woman but she hates him, why not grab a lock of hair from her and turn himself into her to satisfy a fantasy. Or worse, turn into another man and rape her with no consequences for him. *plot idea* Oops… Anyway, in this fic, Polly (I actually haven’t come up with a name for this character yet, so Polly it is for now) decides to act on her attraction to Chloe and creates an elaborate plan. She assumes the form of Scorpio and seduces Chloe to satisfy her lust for the young Potter. But when Chloe becomes pregnant, assuming its Scorpio’s child, Polly panics. And Chloe’s suspicions are aroused when her baby looks nothing like her lover.

Independence: Runaway: This story came to me in a dream. Why are elves always the be all and end all of perfection? They’re perfect warriors, perfect mages, and, in some works, perfect lovers. Why? So I thought, ‘What the hell?’ When thought by me, that never bodes well for anyone.

Elves are the dominant species of Alludana and have been for the last six thousand years. Since their ‘taming’, humans have become slaves in the world, usually treated little better than animals. After murdering her owner to defend herself, Elasia must escape her home town and avoid the vicious pack of soldiers on her tail. In a world that has no place for her, Elasia must try and find the Nala’s Warriors, an often-rumoured band of humans struggling to fight against the elven tyranny. Not even knowing if they exist, Elasia continues blindly on, praying for safety. But the elves have a personal reason for wanting her dead.

As the dwarves begin to show hostility towards the humans for dragging them into the war, Nala’s Warriors begin to lose hope. All must come together to have a chance of surviving and Elasia is the unwilling focal point of the war. But will her existence will bring destruction or salvation to Alludana?

Infrared: To Play With Fire: This is part one of a series of short stories I am considering, where a parallel world filled with magic starts to interfere with and affect ours (or a world like ours as I don’t really know much enough about certain cities to accurately describe them (or I could set it in the future)).

Kyle Chambers has been a thorn in the side of the law for years. Widely regarded as the stealthiest burglar in Europe, he has eluded police time and time again. When a bloodied and beaten young woman arrives at his door, he is naturally suspicious. His curiosity is aroused when Mala herself refuses to go to a hospital and he makes it his mission to discover who she is. But when he discovers the truth, his world is turned upside down and if he wants to survive, he must fight for everything he believes in before it is destroyed by everything he doesn’t believe in.

Within months, if not weeks, they will be able to launch a massive invasion force to cleanse the planet of mankind instead of the few dimensional intruders already on the planet. But even worse, they will soon be able to directly affect Earth: alter human minds on an immense scale to tie them up in massive, senseless wars; alter Earth’s geography to cause volcanic eruptions under major cities or even, if they so chose, burn away the atmosphere entirely. Mala and Kyle need to find allies in worlds becoming increasingly hostile to them.

Dying to be Dead: Or ‘Man, I’m Dying for a Fag’ or ‘It’s a Hard Life Being Dead’. I’m not totally sure whether this should be an original fic or if I should link it up with an established fandom. This is story which has a… are you sitting down?… zombie for a main character. Yes, I lost my mind a long time ago, why do you ask? Follow the travels of Mr. Chompandbite as he tries to chat up women and finds that beer has lost all its allure for him. Worst of all, those dastardly humans have taken all the cigarettes with them as they hole up in annoyingly well-defended shopping centres and fight biker gangs. Join him as he forms S.H.A.M.B.L.E.S., the Society against Hatred of Autonomously Mobile Bodies Looking to Eat Survivors. Dragon Child: Hatchling: I hope that this will be a trilogy, but I haven’t come up with much to separate the main plot points. If it is a trilogy, the second will be called Wyvern and the third Dragonlord. No, the lack of spacing isn’t an error, in case you were wondering. For ten thousand years, humans and dragons have lived peacefully, both helping the other species survive after Fire’s Reign, the years when the world was almost destroyed. The dragons, severely weakened, resorted to assuming human form and cross-breeding to assure their continued existence. But a child has been born to a human woman and a male dragon, something banned for millennia; a child that supposedly breaks all the rules. Whereas all other half-breeds have turned out to be pure dragon, this child is a perfect mix of both species. As the dragons try to keep the child safe until they can understand what has happened, a group of humans slowly gain in power. The Coralins want to bring the dragons to their knees, either by enslaving them or wiping them out, and they have the power to do it. A dragon has joined them for his own benefit, wanting to kill those who wronged him. When the Coralins hear of the child, they try to turn her to their cause, claiming that the dragons ruined her life and murdered her mother. Much to the dragon’s dismay, Mirilen begins to believe them. What Mirilen doesn’t know is how much power she wields. Being a half-breed has given her the strengths of both races, but she starts to discover dormant might and Mirilen must find out what Fire’s Reign was, before she causes it to happen again.

The team has seven days to kill Katie live on international television, or Jill will be executed. With their immense power, the team would be legally able to accomplish it with no effort required. But where does the line between saviour and villain, police and criminal, lie? When does playing God and defending those you love mean becoming no more than the ones you smite down? Where does it end? I’m thinking of multiple sequels, all separate (excluding the last) with different characters and plots but all coming together in one coherent whole as the True Colours series. The colours for the duologies will be Scarlet/Red, Green/Viridian and the trilogy that links everything together is White/Black/Grey. This might be my most ambitious project, with the possible exclusion of the Fable series.

Game Over: December 28th 2799; the scientists at the galaxy-famous Chalindra Station, a massive orbital research facility jointly-founded by mankind and the malth as the first step to peace, have completed one of their greatest achievements to date. Designed as an utterly realistic vision of the past and future, the ARC can replicate past battles with an almost one-hundred percent accuracy rating, depending on the reference material. More importantly to the UESC military, however, it can predict every action and consequence of a war between the Terranamalth Alliance and the Estrai Federation, with whom tensions have been rising for decades. But on the night of the ARC’s first true testing, however, an Estrai spy sabotages the experiment. When the spy is discovered, he hurriedly attempts to finish his assigned task, resulting in consequences no-one could have predicted; ARC has gained sentience. Trapping the helpless scientists and soldiers inside its virtual reality, it forces them through countless simulations of hundreds of scenarios, drawing them from its vast library. In order to escape the “game”, the hostages have to fight their way through ARC’s defenders and deactivate its internal network, preventing each section of ARC from communicating, effectively killing it. But ARC’s library is connected to everything and it quickly forms its own war-torn campaign from hundreds of sources throughout history, determined to survive by any means necessary. This story was originally supposed to be a humorous story about a group of people trapped in an RPG, but it evolved into a slightly more serious story, especially with the ending I now have planned. It’ll likely end up as a serious fic, but with mocking of games in the middle.

Trial under Fire: Flameskin: A fantasy story which refuses to leave my head. For years, the land of Chimra has been plagued by the armies of the Lord of Salamus, the man King Ankorf once trusted with the land’s defence. The constant war had drained his forces of their power, leaving Chimra vulnerable to annihilation. Risking all to command Amaria, Ankorf sends the best men and women he has for the job: a man who viciously betrayed Chimra; a Healer with more talent for killing; an assassin mage, even though the two orders hate each other, and a warrior priest without any faith.

Sending out soldiers and sorcerers to defend his new hope, Ankorf prepares for the war to end soon, trusting that Amaria can kill anyone who stands against her. However, after accidentally killing an innocent man who startled her, Amaria tries to draw away from her power. When her enemy finds them though, she is forced to take up her mantle once more to defend her friends from an enemy equal to her.

Trial under Fire: Amaria: The truth about Amaria’s heritage was revealed by Hortal before he died and the soldiers defending her become wary of her in case she turns on them. However, her friends have a more pressing concern and are just struggling to wake her from the coma she slipped into after the fight. Salamus, enraged by Hortal’s death, gathers his full force and marches on Chimra’s capital city. Having woken up, Amaria realises that, as the Fire’s Child, she is the only thing standing in the way of the most powerful mage of all time. Finally accepting her destiny, she tries desperately to intercept the army intent on destroying everything she has ever known.

Colony One: Alone: Earth was lost. The Dran Federation thought the fight was over. They were wrong. Deep in the Iranis Galaxy, the last human-occupied world in the universe, simply named Colony One, remains intact, stranded trillions of lightyears from home without the warpgate connection to Earth. Trying to find the technology to return home and defeat the invaders becomes more difficult, however, when another alien race stumbles upon their existence. This is a collection of short stories tying into a central plot. It could last five stories, it could last five hundred. I don’t know.

But when a probe crashes to the ground, they become aware of an advanced race desperately trying to keep their sun from dying. However, the race holds a dark secret that must force Colony One to make a grave decision: save the race and gain badly-needed technology or let them die out and remove one of the greatest threats to galactic peace.

Colony One: Home: When Colony One is given special-rift technology by the Thriik, a race rapidly exploring the galaxy, they are eager to test it and return to Earth. A small flotilla of three scout ships and a battlecruiser are fitted with the technology and sent in search of humanity’s homeworld. But what they find in the Milky Way raises suspicions about the genuine purpose of the Thriik’s technology. And only Camlis, the Lanomorph seeking refuge on Colony One, is able to stop the domination of the last surviving humans.

Colony One, meanwhile, is leading a multi-racial strike against the Null, hoping to find out where they came from and what if any weaknesses they have. But what they find shatters the Loth’s belief in their religion and leaves them open to a Null counter-attack.

Their attempts to settle to their new planet are slowed by multiple explosions ripping through their settlements. Talanis, a xenophobic group that has been gaining support in recent months, has launched a terrorist attack, trying to force the Loth off Colony One, and their actions are severely weakening humanity’s diplomatic standing. If Colony One can’t stop them soon, the other races will abandon them to the Null war machine.

The most-advanced ship ever constructed in the history of humanity combines the technology of the Loth, the Lanomorphs, the Terrans and reverse-engineered Null technology. Colony One: Truths of 7ime: Seven years after Colony One’s destruction by the Null fleet, the war-battered crews of the Phoenix and the Pegasus are all that remains of the Allied Races. Humanity, Loth and the Lanomorphs are on the verge of total extinction and over ninety percent of the galaxy is under Null control. Constantly fleeing, with dwindling power supplies and almost no rations remaining, the survivors are sick of it all and almost hope that the next battle will destroy their crippled ships. But when the crew of the Pegasus come up with an ingenious idea, a new hope is born, but with one problem: they have to return to return to Colony One, over sixty-five thousand lightyears away, to find a power source.

As the Allied Races begin to create the attack force that brings down their destruction, news reaches Colony One about a powerful alien race under constant attack by the Null and slowly dying under the assault. If they assist them, they could gain wormhole technology to return home to the Milky Way, but the future crew of the Pegasus argues that the mission will bring down the wrath of every Null fleet for lightyears around.

But few are willing to commit to a suicide mission, even with the time travellers urgings. With other races also conducting genetic experiments, it is only a matter of time before someone creates the perfect soldier. But as the engineering teams report nearby spatial anomalies that explain the near-impossibility of two cloaked ships colliding, the Phoenix witnesses something long-rumoured but never before seen: the formation of a natural wormhole, one that could lead back to the Milky Way.

"Oh, someone shoot me. At last count, I had one hundred and fifty-four fics in this list. Now, somehow, I have two hundred and twenty-one. *sobs* I’m going to have to resort to forced labour to get even a quarter of these done because very few are short fics. I also have another thirty-three stories that haven’t yet got blurbs for. Some will be deleted, but still… two hundred and fifty-four stories. A hundred more than before!"

See near the top of the page. And it's still growing. Colony One, the series that appears to be staging a military coup of my mind, is a collection of short stories so can potentially go on without limit. There are currently two more blurbed than posted (Laws and Assault), but it takes ages to edit the post because it's so bloody long. Therefore, I'll wait until the list has expanded some more before I post.

No, thank you, but thanks for the offer. CoPM is still being beta read by Sedri to my knowledge. There are plenty of others though. My mind is working heavily on Ties That Bind and Shattered World (both HP fandom still).

Oh, and Colony One now has twenty-eight stories in it and is still growing.

well i dont mind doing either of those, i get a fair bit of sparetime on weekends and its boring playing videogames all the time.

So far, I've only created a large plot device or two for Shattered World, but I've got a bit for TTB. It's not a complete first chapter yet, but it's something.

What about betaing for Crystal Clear? Or at least suggest ideas for a second chapter, because I feel that it's slightly incomplete without one, but I can't think of a plot for it. CC is already uploaded if you hadn't noticed.

just read it, kinda borederline morbid. however taking advantage of harry signaling where ginny is how about ron and hermione find her and arrive just in time to see harry reveal himself to moldyshorts. no idea about after thou.

"if going into the slightly morbid"

Yeah, most of my stories do this. :P

"better than rowlings version anyway."

That's opinion. I personally have majorly low self-confidence and I always think "this is rubbish, people will hate it, maybe I should rewrite it". Usually I think of the original CoPM and how hundreds of people liked the total rubbish contained within. That makes me post my new stories. *grin*

"however taking advantage of harry signaling where ginny is how about ron and hermione find her and arrive just in time to see harry reveal himself to moldyshorts"

For a start, good God can we start calling this guy by his name? Either Voldemort or Riddle would do. Most of the mocking names are boring, not funny and not thought out. I mean, Moldyshorts gives me an image of Voldemort on the beach in furry green shorts. It's not a pleasant image and I hate you for it. :P

And I was thinking that the second chapter would start in the Great Hall during the celebration and then move outside (where Ginny really blows into Harry).

better idea than mine, cos mine would probably get them all killed, lol. and i'll lay of the stupid voldermort jokes to be honest i dont particually like them anyway but im kinda bored right now.

ps have you had a look at my HP fic? i suggest you ignore the lemon.

"cos mine would probably get them all killed"

Quite probably. But it's better than a couple of ideas I've heard.

"ps have you had a look at my HP fic? i suggest you ignore the lemon."

There's a lemon? Where? I didn't see it.

And I've now pretty much stopped reading stories due to lack of time and the fact that their plot devices weaselled their way into my fics.

yes a lemon(of sorts) involving Yuffie Kisaragi (its not a HP one). i dont think there are any plot points in mine that could be nicked, other than the trolls and not troll thing in chapt 5. its gonna be harry hermione with any luck. HP and the Wheel of fate, is it. im planning on putting more info on my original chars race and abilitys as the next chapter.

ps only reason i wrote the lemon in the first place was cos i was bored. got a long attention span but get bored kinda easily.

"its not a HP one"

No wonder I didn't notice.

"i dont think there are any plot points in mine that could be nicked"

Yeah, you'd think that about some of the other fics I've read too.

"its gonna be harry hermione with any luck"

I do read that ship, but I almost always prefer Canon ships.

"only reason i wrote the lemon in the first place was cos i was bored"

Don't worry. I've written a couple of lemons. Most, if not all, are connected to a fic so it's not PWP, but sex can sometimes really enhance a story as long as you don't turn it into a sexploitation fic.

#16 Dec 04th 2008, 6:43am
Dark Lord Moridin

umm sexplotation fic? an i dont think there is much story to my one. also kinda need a opinion as to if my two origanal chars are overpowered. the other one yuna and wheel of fate is in ffx but uses my 2 OC's after their time at hogwarts.

Basically what it means all the other times the word is used. Exploiting sex to drag people in. Having tons and tons of hardcore porn simply because.

In my Fable: Shadows over Albion fic, I know I will have at least two sex scenes. But those scenes will both contain valuable information that needs to be in the context of a sex scene. I know that some people are put off by sex scenes, so I don't include them unless they are essential to the plot. If I want to create a sex scene that isn't essential to the plot, it'll be in a spin-off rather than in the actual fic.

Dark Lord Moridin

i see. unfortunatly mine isent so much a story more 3 chapters of girl/girl tie up based sex. no storyline other than whats needed as a excuse as to why its happening, but as im not billing it as a story i suppose its ok.

#19 Dec 04th 2008, 7:02am
thejadefalcon

Ahh... bondage. Why not? The second sex scene in Fable is technically bondage (Marek, the main character, is being magically held in place). Of course, then again, it's also rape so...

#20 Dec 04th 2008, 7:12am
Dark Lord Moridin

ya well bondage is my kink, figured id join that with the hottest ninja in final fantasy so far, the only problem is i had to change her age a little. as it origanaly stood yuffie was only 16 i changed her to 18.

I'm thinking this has gone off topic lol. oh well cant be helped.

*sighs* Don't worry. I'm used to off-topic stuff. Wheeler would know best. :P

The age change isn't a problem. Just set it after the game. Duh.

i prefer to tinker with da ages instead of having to create a new storyline.

I've done the head meet desk thing ended badly for the desk.

and your why wont you die borimir is kinda pointless, cos he dose actually die. so dose gandalf the grey and the witch king of angmar gets owned by a girl lol.

You don't have to create a new storyline. Have some dreary, dreary peace in the world.

And as I said, I'm searching for a better title for the WWYD?! series. And I know they died, but that's why I'm changing the timeline before then. He was in the loo and missed all the action. :P And I haven't got a Witch King fic! Please, please don't throw ideas into my head. *sobs pathetically*
