OMG EC COME ON.

Well, I'm writing part of the first chapter right now...I might post it after it's done. Maybe.

Since I've been torturing everyone with little to no information about my stories for ages now, I've decided to be nice and reveal the characters of my current original story. ^^

Paul O'Connell: He is a jock and a mild prankster. His closest friends are Cory (a very loud, irritating boy who is way more of a prankster than Paul) and Adam (a smart boy who wears glasses and often makes plans for Cory's pranks). He has wild red hair and brown eyes. He just might be falling for Tanya... *shifty-eyed* I'm not telling. *shot*

Tanya Williams: She only speaks in whispers as far as anyone else knows. Her father died in a car accident (maybe), and she and her mother are very close. She's talented at music, a little known fact about her. She's clairvoyant, and lately little snippets of unwanted memory are creeping into her mind...

Eric Wells: Oh, the guy everyone avoids at all costs. The most vain person anyone has met and probably will ever meet, he spouts tall tales taller than Mt. Everest and more than there are grains of sand on Earth. ...Okay, he's not quite that bad, but close enough. He just can't seem to get it through his head that people don't want him around. So the day that people find him quiet is both a relief...and, to Tanya, a worry. Neither Paul nor Tanya know what Eric can do, but you might be surprised...

And there they are. ^^ Quite possibly my favorite characters out of all the ones I've ever made.

The first couple of chapters will be mainly in Paul's and Tanya's perspective. Eric doesn't even play much of a role for awhile, but he's important. ^^

OH NOES RUN AWAY FROM THE JOCK. *eaten by football team* I like how he has two buddies who assist him in pranking. ^w^ Do they TP and egg houses and such?

Tanya Williams: She only speaks in whispers as far as anyone else knows. Her father died in a car accident (maybe), and she and her mother are very close. (Well, at least it's only one person without a parent...) Car accidents suck. Srsly. (What's "clairvoyant" mean again? *eaten again by football team*)

Ugh, I hate that guy! Or, you know, that kind of person in general. (Although, I don't hate anyone, so maybe I should just say dislike being around...*ONCE AGAIN eaten by football team* Agh, am I so tasty?!) And I'd be worried, too, if he was suddenly quiet. Although, I'd be worried in a nice way, not a scared way...

Ooh, you should keep Eric's profile as low as you can while making him so flamboyant and stuff that whatever role he has (I'm guessing an antagonist role?) will come as a surprise to the reader! It equals more fun! :D

Also, remember that story idea I hinted to before? With the girl and the dragon statue? Well, I've expanded on it a bit more, and I think I'm ready to divulge some more information on it. :3 Is anyone around to listen?

OH NOES RUN AWAY FROM THE JOCK. *eaten by football team* I like how he has two buddies who assist him in pranking. ^w^ Do they TP and egg houses and such?

They think of every kind of prank-and more often than not, do every prank they think of. XD

(Well, at least it's only one person without a parent...) Car accidents suck. Srsly. (What's "clairvoyant" mean again? *eaten again by football team*)

(Pfft, I still get the parents out of the story. Not dead, but out of the story. X'D) Yeah. *nods* :( (It means you can see things in the future. It's a like a fortune teller of sorts. Except the stuff actually happens. From Talivrah, I had two characters like that: Clairvoyant "Claire" *stabbed* and Antaya the "Seer".)

Ugh, I hate that guy! Or, you know, that kind of person in general. Yep, the most irritating one. XD Unfortunately, he's also good-looking, and he knows that, so guess who has a bloated ego. X'D Tanya is worried in both those ways. Except nobody knows that 'cause she kinda has no friends and doesn't talk much anyways... 8'D

Ooh, you should keep Eric's profile as low as you can while making him so flamboyant and stuff that whatever role he has (I'm guessing an antagonist role?) will come as a surprise to the reader! It equals more fun! :D

Yesh, I should. 8D I think I will. Thanks for the idea! ^^ (That, and something more. Eventually, Eric does become a good friend of Paul and Tanya. ...Eventually. *stabbed*)

Also, remember that story idea I hinted to before? With the girl and the dragon statue? Well, I've expanded on it a bit more, and I think I'm ready to divulge some more information on it. :3 Is anyone around to listen?

Ooh, ooh! *waves hand in the air* Tell, please! 8D

Agh, I'm behind on my NaNoWriMo word count, and I was going to write today, only I got sick and didn't feel like writing for the entire day... I wrote a few sentences just now, but I can't concentrate and I dun know what to write next. -.-;

But yeah, in my absence for the past week (!?) I've developed my story further... I now have a plan for the entire series, which encompasses 20 books. There is a main villain and a minor villain, though I can't decide which one is awesomer because they're both cool.

Also, in my story, I've developed some new characters who may appear later. So here are the main characters:

Drew Mackenzi - The narrator and main character. Yes, his last name is a common girls' first name. In any case, the story starts with weird stuff happening to him and basically his life vanishing from before his eyes. Government agents show up and demand that he give them an "energy source" they say he has on his person, and then some more weird stuff happens, the end result of which is he finds himself in another world and he is charged with waking a "Wandering King" by a piece of paper. Yes. His personality is affable, not really standing out in anything. One characteristic of his that contributes to his survival, however, is how flexible he is; he tends to take things at face value.

Page - She joins Drew in the first book and stays with him throughout the rest of the series. She has a number of problems/quirks, among them total amnesia and lack of vocal chords. Meaning she can't speak; Drew names her Page because they can only communicate by using the pages of the World Tome as a catalyst. Oh, and she also has extremely white skin and hair. She's actually albino, but Drew won't believe it because she doesn't have the red eyes albinos are supposed to have (her eyes are pale blue, which is actually the most common eye color for real albinos). Personality-wise, she's a bit of an introvert, usually staring off into space and being generally distant. Aside from being a main character, she has a major role in the plot, but that role isn't revealed until the final book...

Zal - She doesn't appear until the third book. She is a living spark of electricity. Impossible, yes, but she's from another universe with different laws of physics. She can travel through things that conduct electricity and float through the air. Also, she communicates through electrical pulses which are sent directly into the recipient's brain, thus acting as a sort of telepathy. She is trapped in another world through a very convoluted series of events, and she meets Drew and Page, who offer to help her return home. Later she decides to come with them and stays with them for the rest of the series, even after returning home. She is timid but also extremely intelligent, though for her kind the latter is normal.

And now, for other characters:

Mr. Dekel - A mysterious salesman who appears sporadically throughout the series, and always only to Drew. Each time he appears, he sells something to Drew which turns out to be important later on. He wears a blue suit and carries a suitcase that's either black or brown. In the first book, he sells a pocket watch to Drew for $50 (it was an antique, so it wasn't a total ripoff), and later the watch turns out to be concealing a page of the World Tome inside it. This is the first page Drew finds, and it sends him to the other world. Mr. Dekel himself is always confident and always seems to know about things that he really shouldn't logically be able to know.

Agent Kevin Blake - A CIA field agent who appears shortly after Drew meets Mr. Dekel. He is very intelligent and skilled in things like martial arts and hostage negotiation. He tells Drew that he (Drew) has something on his person which is leaking radiation all over the place. Drew, being the sensible person he is, runs away. After Drew discovers the page of the World Tome inside his watch, Blake vanishes for a while.

4114 - In the second book, Drew and Page visit a planet covered entirely by a massive, maze-like computer system, through which countless computerized beings run said planet. These beings are artificial sapiences originally programmed by the planet's formerly dominant inhabitants, which were organic lifeforms and which now resemble small, primitive, multi-limbed primates after millennia of evolution. The computers freely admit that their planet is Earth in the year 9,955,091 A.D.. 4114 is one of those artificial sapiences and is modeled after the behavior of a generic human female from the year 7143 A.D., with a happy and optimistic personality. She helps Drew and Page to stop someone from toppling the utopian society of the future Earth...

Okay, well, I'll edit this post in a bit. I've got to get all of the papers that have the ideas and such on it... lD (This is why I hate writing on paper. Computers are so much easier to deal with.)

Whoa...Cel, do you realize how epic that all is? Seriously? Man, I'm proud to know you, even over the internet. And I mean it.

Edit: Alright, here's all I've found! (And I mean ALL - as in first notes to little bits of info that aren't really important. XD Although, compared to some other things, it's not that much....)

Girl has a dragon statue for years, one day kisses the snout, it comes to life

*insert drawing of little dragon here*

Wizard (previous was a witch, but I changed it) cast a spell on the dragon, shrinking it (her) and turning it (her) into a statue, story told in 2 POVs (dragon and girl) every other chapter

Dragon = 1st POV, Girl = 3rd POV

Dragon

Name: Noga

Gender: F

Age: Actual = 300, Technical = apx. 1660 (the year 2000 is 640 = 1360 years in between, plus her real age 300 = 1660)

Species: Blue (Ice) Dragon, green eyes

Favorite Food/Drink: Ram/Water

Favorite Topics: Politics, science

Favorite Color: Onyx (pretends its red just to freak girl out; "I like the color red...like blood.")

Girl

Name: Victoria Smithson

Gender: Female

Age: 14

Species: Human, black hair and brown eyes

Favorite Food/Drink: PB&J/Pink lemonade

Favorite Topics: Gossip

Favorite Color: Periwinkle

I like how you figure out their favorite colors before the details of the story... :P And it looks like a good idea. Does the dragon stay shrunk, though?

I don't understand this sentence:

(the year 2000 is 640 = 1360 years in between, plus her real age 300 = 1660)

Also, thanks. XD There's going to be a bunch of different genres in my story. At one point there will be Mongols. Because nothing can be truly epic unless it includes Mongols. :D

Dragonluvr1993

Heehee, inorite? ;P I'm just so amazing. And I'm contemplating that, because I don't know how I'm going to explain how it unshrinks. I know that in the beginning she'll be small, but I don't know how to take it from there. She gets bigger as the story goes along? She suddenly jumps back to full size at the end? She remains small forever? Idk. D:

Oops, it was supposed to be 2000 minus 640. lD Heheh...

I wrote out this equation: 2000 - 640 = 1360, 1360 + 300 = 1660. The year of the main story is 2000, and the year that the dragon is turned into a statue is 640. Thus, I subtract it from 2000 to get the number of years between her imprisonment and her release. Then, I add the years she lived previous to her imprisonment, 300, and get her total technical age: 1660. It's sort of like how Shadow is "16" but was in comatose for 50 years, and so is "really" 66-years-old or something.

No, seriously, I mean it. You are amazing. Do you realize that? Do you? Really? I would defend you with every inch of my being and soul if I could, you are that amazing. Just...man. Man.

(P.S.: Agreed on the Mongols part. :D)

Celebi96

Maybe they could be two separate curses, the statue thing and the size thing...?

Okay, now it makes sense :O

I might be amazing, but so is everyone else in their own way. :D

(I'm gonna make them good guys. 'Cause they're portrayed as evil way too much, and they were actually pretty cool.)

#3309 Nov 23rd, 2:27pm
Dragonluvr1993

Hm, maybe. Although, I'm trying to think how the wizard would do that.

"You are forever cursed to stare aimlessly at the distance! And, while I'm at it, you'll be the size of a small dog! Ha! Can't bite my limbs off now, can you?" *insert taunting here*

Okay, that's good :D

I guess you're right...but still. Man. *is still amazed* I mean, just read over what you wrote for a moment, absorb it all...and then give yourself a pat on the back for being so amazing. :D

(Inorite? Didn't they open up Asia to trade and such? I can't remember much about them, wish I had photographic memory or something...oh, but I was a freshman, so I see why I can't remember anything. XD)

#3310 Nov 23rd, 2:35pm
Blazing Sceptile

@DL: Perhaps the dragon and wizard could have been fighting, the wizard shrinks it first, but it still tries to kill/disable the wizard, so he/she petrifies (turns to stone) it?

And are there going to be more dragons, or more species of dragons?

#3311 Nov 23rd, 5:20pm
Dragonluvr1993

Hm...that would make sense. The dragon would be so outraged at being shrunk that the wizard will have to petrify it to save himself. :D Thanks, Blazing!

I'm contemplating that, as well. Sadly, I'm thinking she's going to have to be the last of her kind when she gets freed from her stony prison. *sheds tear for her*

#3312 Nov 25th, 1:33pm
Blazing Sceptile

XD No problem.

Oh. That's sad... But still, there could be other dragons, just not ice dragons. And don't forget hybrids... *shot*

It's your call, in the end. You're the author. XD

I've put up the first two chapters of my story. :D

#3314 Dec 07th, 1:44pm

I have two story ideas. 8D The first one is sort of a retelling of A Christmas Carol, and the second one is just...something. *shot* It'll probably only be one or two chapters and I might post it on FPC.

~

The Silver Bell

Victor Scrooge (in honor of the protagonist of A Christmas Carol) is by far the most unpleasant man in town. In contract, his daughter Violet is probably one of the sweetest. Violet is the only person Victor is nice to, and so on the day of Christmas and Violet's birthday, Victor buys his daughter a little silver bell.

That night, Violet rings it...

And discovers just how special the bell is.

~

If any of you have read A Christmas Carol, then you'll know what happens to Victor. ;D (Truth be told, I haven't; I've only seen the story retold in other tv shows XD).

~

Court is Now in Session

Framed. That's what she's been. No matter Sylvia Brown is a troublemaker at school; she would never murder anyone. But that's what the judges and the government and the town believe.

As you watch her now, do you notice how nervous she seems? Is she lying, and is guilty? Will you grow more angry with her?

Or will some part of you find yourself withering to pity her-and try to discover the truth?

~

Just a short little story about what the accused might feel while in court.

I like both of them. For the first one, it's not common that people do retellings of other stories like that. I hope you do it justice, though I'm pretty sure you will. :P And as for the second, that's always been one of my worst nightmares. I would hate for something like that to happen to me, and I can empathize with Sylvia...

Really? I saw a whole slew of retold fairy tales at the bookstore...And thanks. ^^

This actually started as a story about a criminal who was decreed innocent by the court and how he continues to wreck havoc all over town. But I changed it. XD

Yeah, me too. O.o I would be terrified.

Fairy tales are one thing, since they're really old and no one really wrote them, we only know who wrote them down. But this is a much more recent story. Charles Dickens wrote it. Charles Dickens. He's considered one of the best authors of all time.

And you're welcome. ^^

That would be a good story, although I'm not sure what kind of moral it would teach people. :P "Don't let him go free, you'll regret it if he's guilty!" XD

Yeah, me too. O.o I would be terrified.

The only comfort I really have against something like that is the "without a shadow of a doubt" policy of the U.S. judicial system. It means that, if you can create any doubt at all that you committed the crime, then they have to let you go.

Both of those ideas sound spiffy, EC. :D I'd love to read them!

And, as for some notes on changes in DrakenHart:

First off, Inferno now has been renamed, because his original name is kiddish at best and completely lame and unoriginal at worse. D: He's now known as Feninor, because it sounds cooler and more dragon-y than "Inferno." :D

Second, Megan and Zach (I'm now going to refer to him as that, instead of "Zac") are not going to be immediately let into the castle to have an audience with the king and queen. Instead, they're going to enlist the help of a criminal. LE GASP~ His name is Tactos, and I've become infatuated with his character. X3 The mental image that keeps popping up in my mind of him is the Bandit-type "monster" in Heroes of Might and Magic III. *tries to find picture*

He actually won't be a "friend," per se, until after Zach and Megan have completed their training in the castle. In fact, he will oppose them on several occasions. He goes where the business is, and nasty people tend to have the money to spend on his services. Only when he learns that they have befriended a dragon will he become their friend, and only because "a giant pile of gold and jewels will make anyone your friend." :D (God, you can tell I love him a lot. I just quoted him, and he's not even technically made yet!)

The king and queen of Zokui's names are King Tafor and Queen Mirande. At least, for now. And the sorcerer that brought Megan over to Zokui in the first place and is killed indirectly by Loex is now named Orefin.

Any comments so far?

Love the name~. ^^ Feninor sounds like something that'd majorly kick butt. ;D

You're welcome! ^w^

I love it, too~ My friend helped a lot, though, because, in case you haven't noticed, "Feninor" is an anagram of "Inferno." lD *eaten* I wanted it to be simple yet cool, so first me and J.D. did a bit of brainstorming (he was no help, though), and then my awesomest friend Emily (who is possibly more awesome...actually, she is more awesome than Dally. Srsly. No offense, Dal.) helped me narrow it down because I couldn't decide. It eventually went on until it was between "Feninor" and "Finnero," and after I promised Emily that the latter was going to be his brother's name, Inferno was dubbed "Feninor." ^w^

INORITE? 8D I love him lots, and I'm going to flesh out his character a loooooot more than necessary... l3 And he'd stab you in the back, btw. Oh, and did I mention he was a bit of a charmer?

Sly: He got it from me! *flashes grin*

XD Yeah, I had to stick a bit of his influence in there~♥

Ohhhhh, yeah. ^w^; You have NO IDEA how many names I went through. NO IDEA. Think of a notebook paper half-filled with names and variations of those names. And Inferno's rename took an entire page (excluding the little bits that Emily doodled on, she couldn't help it~)!
