Kristine.DTopic: Idle Chat... Goes here. I have the starting topic. Atonment was the worst fucking (excuse the vulgar language!) movie I ever saw. Sorry. -Kristine X3- | #1 Jan 13th 2008, 12:43am

Teh TricksterYay, the chat thread is up! Wow, "Atonement" must have been really bad if you're swearing at it! What was it about? |
|
Kristine.DIt's about this girl who tries to 'atone' herself after she broke up her big sister and her lover by sending her lover to jail/into a war by accusing him of being a rapist...Erg. -Kristine X3- |

Teh TricksterI see . . . I guess it's something I'm not interested in watching then. Anyway, I don't really watch movies, or even TV shows for that matter. I hardly see myself watching something like that.| #4 Jan 24th 2008, 10:26pm

Kristine.DI hadn't either. I wanted to go watch the Bee Movie. LOLZ. But my sister didn't have her ID card stating she was 17...and she looks sort of young, so they forced us to go with her. -___-" -Kristine X3- |

Teh TricksterOh dear . . . it's bad enough being forced to watch something you don't want to watch! Oh yeah, I've heard that Cloverfield is very bad as well, it gives you bad headaches when watching it.By the way, do you recommend any good movies? My family have free tickets to a movie and we cannot even agree on the movie that the whole family can be happy with. |
|
Kristine.DHaha, actually, Cloverfield was a really good movie...very realistic too. And yes, you get major, major motion sickness from watching it (I threw up), but it also gives it a very realistic feeling.I recommend Wall-E coming out in June...or if you're more in a hurry then...I'm actually not really sure. I would recommend Sweeny Todd...but I don't know if that is really family appropiete. -Kristine X3- |

Teh TricksterHaha, actually, Cloverfield was a really good movie...very realistic too. And yes, you get major, major motion sickness from watching it (I threw up), but it also gives it a very realistic feeling. Really? My cousins went to watch it and they said that they didn't like it because it didn't seem to have a storyline. Moreover, my aunt also got sick after watching it. I think I would give this a miss though, because I really don't like motion sickness and headaches and anyway, it is not my mother's cup of tea. I recommend Wall-E coming out in June...or if you're more in a hurry then...I'm actually not really sure. I would recommend Sweeny Todd...but I don't know if that is really family appropiete. Heh, sad to say, Sweeny Todd is not my parents cup of tea either, though I would like to watch it because Johnny Depp is in there. That's the problem with choosing a movie to watch as a family - we all have different tastes and it's so hard to decide on one that every single person in my family can enjoy. As for me, I don't even like watching movies in the first place. The only thing I like about movies is the cinema popcorn. Sigh . . . it's quite hard. By the way, do you know when the movie on Jane Austin as well as the Chronicles of Narnia are coming out? | #8 Feb 09th 2008, 10:10pm

Kristine.DWell...the storyline in Cloverfield is very...unique and cliche all at the same time. It depends I suppose. No, sorry. I don't really know at all. -Kristine X3- | #9 Feb 09th 2008, 10:11pm

ILBHi guys! I hope you don't mind me joining the conversation. I feel pretty much the same about Cloverfield. I thought the love story angle was... WAAAY too cliché. But apparently there's supposed to be a whole lot of important sort of symbolism stuff. It was an okay movie, but the motion sick feeling made it a little harder to enjoy. If you mean the Anne Hathaway "Becoming Jane", I just saw a commercial advertising the DVD release yesterday. I think it's coming out soon! I don't know about any coming out in theaters, though. ^_^ | #10 Feb 09th 2008, 10:28pm

Teh TricksterThanks for the information on "Becoming Jane" but sadly, we need a movie that is coming out in the cinema. Oh dear, this is going to be hard, especially since my family has such diverse taste that it would be almost impossible to cater to everyone's individual needs. Maybe we could give the movie tickets to someone else . . .| #11 Feb 18th 2008, 5:02pm

Kristine.DAww, I'm sure something will come out. When are the tickets going to expire?-Kristine X3- | #12 Feb 18th 2008, 7:03pm

Teh TricksterJune, apparently. Oh yes, we're going to watch some dinosaur documentary, which I have to admit, I'm not so keen about. I wouldn't actually mind watching it if it weren't for Chronicles of Narnia coming out in May; I'd kill to watch that.| #13 Mar 04th 2008, 2:02am

Kristine.DHaha, I see. Well, I'm an avid fan of the Chronicles of Narnia series (-huggles my special edition copies), so I don't believe that movies lived up to my expectations. ;D (Does this make you feel better?)-Kristine X3- P.s. Dinosaur documentary? | #14 Mar 04th 2008, 6:26pm
