I know this is the Momos job but I thought I'd wack these up anyway so we have the rules and the like (Momo you can smack me for it later if you'd like *grin*) This is straight off Momosportif's profile...feel free to ask any questions should they come up...

THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL RULES AND CRITERIA! To see the prompt, please go to the forum! :) Also, you can jump in and submit anytime between now and October 1st!! Good luck!

rules:

-must be less than 6,000 words

-No OCs

-no lemons (implied lemons are accepted)

-must be rated T or lower

-must submit within 80 days: Submission will be free range (aka you can submit whenever you want) BUT we are counting on each and every one of you to have enough integrity not to steal ideas or be influenced by others who finish before you! Got it?

Also, when you submit a story leave a post on the forum that says something like "I finished my story (fill in the blank with title)! Check it out!". We (Sarahfreak and the Momos) will not be looking at the stories until the contest closes however because we figured that it would be best to read them all at once while we were in the same state of mind and mood, etc.

-no restriction/requirements on a particular pairing

Note: I will be posting a count down of the days left every ten days. Look at the schedule below to see them. :)

schedule: The contest officially starts on Monday, July the 14. However, you may certainly start before then. :)

20 day mark: Saturday, August 2nd

30 day mark: Tuesday, August 12th (the Momos' second day of school :P)

40 day mark: Friday, August 22nd

50 day mark: Monday, September 1st (the Momos' grandmother's b-day, incidentally)

60 day mark: Thursday, September 11th (Memorial for Twin Towers day in the USofA...why do we have so many significant days coinciding with the contest? I haven't a clue...)

70 day mark: Sunday, September 21st

END: Wednesday, October 1st

No submissions will be judged after the 1st of October but if you want to post unfinished works when you finish them just for your own fulfillment, I'd be more than happy to look at them! :)

criteria:

-readability (this would include grammar and spelling so if you know those are your Achilles heels go get a beta or something XD)

-entertainment factor (was it a good read? was it worth the time? did it draw the reader in?)

-creativity in concern to theme/prompt/whatever you want to call it

-creativity in concern to character development, relationships, etc.

Hey Everybody!

Sorry to double post but I thought I'd let you know what's going on with the prize deal before I skedaddle for a week (working *sigh*) holiday...

Okay, the Momo's and I decided that we will be awarding three prize fics (one written by each of us) to the three highest rated fics in the contest. 'Highest rated' it the product of our scoring system. Each of the criteria with be assessed on a scale of 1 to 5 and the total will be added up to make a grand score. This was what we decided since the three of us are judges and we wanted it to be fare.

Now to the point of this post (yes there is one *grin*), is to put the question out there to all the people that have entered (or are going to enter before the deadline...hurry it's almost here!)...What do you want us to write? By that I mean to say, give us a prompt or maybe a small outline of a fic that each of you would like to have written as a prize if you should make it into the top 3. This is just to give us an idea of what people would like to have written so we can prepare accordingly. The prizes my take a little while to be posted after the judging time since we want to make sure we do a good job on your request, especially cause you guys have all put in a lot of effort and time to participate in both the actual contest and the forum itself.

Now just a couple of small notes from me: I don't think the Momos (correct me if I'm wrong girls!) and I can handle writing lemon requests, we having nothing against them (and probably secretly read them on occasion) but I myself I have no talent in that area. Pairing requests are fine. So a simple 'A Lavi x Allen fic where they kiss accidentally' or something like that is good because it gives us a focus and a direction to take it...

Summary of post: Prizes are decided, Scoring system is set, what do you want us to write if you win? notes on prize criteria...

Let's see.... A one shot on any of the exorcists you want to write about, on what they think about their past selves and (their journey of change.) The part in brackets is optional if you can't think of any. You can focus on one, or a few (a few is preferred though) Past selves would mean either when they are teenagers for the older exorcists or when they are children, for the younger ones. Seems rather possible since many of them have undergone profound changes to their personality.

Moko-chan didn't really want me to reply because she thinks that we won't be able to win for some reason. But since no one was replying, I thought I might as well submit some fanfiction thought material.

Momo's are desperately trying not to fail school and so have not been much involved in much of anything aside from scholarly tasks, but yesterday OFFICIALLY CLOSED THE CONTEST! NO more submissions will be accetped for judging and feedback will be delivered to the participants by October 20th in the form of a review, a PM from each judge, and a score based on a point scale (which will be explained this weekend most of like).

Thank you to all who tried valiantly or succeeded in participating! We're terribly excited to finally get to read!!!

Hey All!

Well I'm back from holidays and just after the closing date of the contest. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did participating in the forums and reading the entries.

I have completed my section of the judging which was Readability & Elements of writing/writing prowess. The reason I got it finished so quickly is because I was stranded out in the country for a good week, with no internet, and only the contents of my laptop to keep me company. So before I left I copied all the contest entries on said computer and read/judged them together on the day after the competition closed.

The first thing I want to say is: Well done guys! I was somewhat nervous having to judge the more technical side of the contest but you guys exceeded all my expectations (not that I thought you'd be all horrible!). You all did remarkably well with both sections with no 1's or 2's being awarded at all in readability and no 1, 2 or 3's in elements of writing/writing prowess. You guys are all brilliant. I will be emailing and PMing you very soon since I am under a rather tight deadline with my uni assessment at the moment and will probably be unable to do so if I don't do it now. I will still be checking my emails every night, so if you have a question about why I allocated the score I did, or if you are not happy with anything I have said, please feel free to PM me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I will not be putting your scores in reviews and no one other then yourself (and the Momos) will be privy to your marks (unless you chose to tell someone).

On a different note...WOW there were a lot of Lavi fics! Not that that's a bad thing, but I think out of the twelve entries that we had, Lavi was centric/paired together with/or mentioned in at least nine of them *grin* Next was probably Komui with 3 centrics and 1 crazy appearance (you know who you are), with Cross bringing up the last of the top three characters (2 pairings, 1 appearance). Kudos to those who managed to slot Reever in there somewhere (you know I have a soft spot for him *grin*) and mostly just wow at the diversity of the submissions. I never expected that we would get such a wide range of fics off the same prompt and they were all pure *gold*

We did lie out a twenty-day judging span as a grace period so that the Momos and I could judge them all fairly and do it right. I am sorry to make you guys wait so long for the winners but sometimes it's fun to have something to look forward to as well *grin*

I really enjoyed joining this contest too. It's my first time joining a contest as well. Can't wait for the results. All the fics I could read turned out to be great. To shadow.salvation's "El Mundo en Pantallas de Gris" - "Best Progressive Piece" This fic was awesome in the fact that the whole story built up towards a conclusions that you were waiting for but did no expect...awesome use of present time and flashbacks.

Just an update for the winners, as far as I know we are still collecting prompts which will be delegated between the Momos and myself (though Kuro666's prompt will most definitely be written by S or H since I have no talent for the awesomeness that is Tiedoll/Kanda). EVERYONE: We promise we will get to PM-ing and reviewing your stories! I am SOOOO sorry it's taken this long! :O We are practically getting MURDERED by work at school (in fact, I only have time to write this because I'm sick at home today...the world is messed up)! No one was joking when they said this was "hell year". Expect to hear from us in two weeks (our Thanksgiving break, finally, praise the lord, hallelujah, amen). We have learned a valuable lesson (not to schedule any future contests to end in the middle of the school year!) and are eternally regretful in concern to our tardiness!!!
