So, it's evident that many people have a problem with the Jonas Brothers being featured in Camp Rock, Hannah Montana and A Cinderella Story sections (there may be a few I left out). It is clearly stated that they are in fact real people ( i.e. Non-Fiction) and are not allowed.

If you click login , stories ,guidelines you will see the text I'm writing about. In order to upload a story you agreed to those rules, and violating them is not a good idea

I don't understand why user can't be creative and create AU's with Connect 3 or something. Perhaps when the J.O.N.A.S premieres this will change ( as long as you follow canon or go the AU route) but till then stop violating the rules.

We are all fans of Camp Rock and want to read about all the great characters and plot devices in the movie !

Ya, I do admit to breaking the rules...but that was last year....when I was all blah blah about the rules. But I only had real people in my stories as guest stars, the story was not actually about them. The story was about the show/movie and the characters, with a special celeb appearance.

I mean, I think it isn't that bad to have like a special guest star.....but if the story is centered around them it is officially against the rules.

Okay, me done....Get Jonas out....until the J.O.N.A.S section is created!!!!!

well, it's against the rules but some of those fanfics with the jonas brothers are really good and funny, but there are some that are just really bad and stuff.i think as soon as JONAS comes out people probably won't post stories about the JB in the other places because there's going 2 b a place for them 2 post stories about the JB.i can't wait untill JONAs!!!!!

Well, I myself am NOT a JB fan but my good friend Simply Nobody is. If they want to write about the Jonas Brothers in categories that feature the Jonas Brothers let them. If you don't like it ignore it.

I do ignore them...I actually like reading some of them. But the only thing is that it is against the rules...at least until the JONAS section comes out. And the sections that reature them are being taken over by them.....And A Cinderella Story has NOTHING to do with the Jonas Brothers.

So, what I think you're saying is, you wouldn't mind them if there weren't so many of them? And if they weren't overrunning other sections?

I'll still have a problem with real person fics even if Jonas fics weren't over-running other fandoms because IMO real person fic is crossing the line, how would YOU like it if you discovered a fic which featured you ** your sister or brother in graphic detail?

I'm also against real person fic because it's clearly stated in the Terms of Service that its against the rules to post fanfiction featuring real people on the site. I'm not allowed to post my NC-17 fanfiction here, so why should other people be allowed to break the rules?

Yeah....I don't mind it if a few of them are there, but the sections are loaded with JB fics now. I know!!! I would not want stories to be written about me and my brother or sister like that.....I don't read those at all. They are pointless.

The only problem is that they are breaking the rules...the Jonas Brothers aren't the biggest fans of fanfiction...but they know that people like to write them, so they have a section for them on their official website...so people, just go post there.

Yeah, I'd report most if not all, RPF, especially fic about the person's love life.

I did read a fic where Rachel from Friends squealed "oh my god, is that David Duchovny over there?", but as far as I'm aware that doesn't really count as real person fic as that was the only part where David appeared apart from Rachel telling the others about it and Monica telling her that it wasn't David because the guy didn't look anything like him

Haha, yeah! I used to report, but I don't do that any more...there really is no point, I mean the staff isn't going to do anything about it, so I gave up. I have a fanfic like that, where Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens make appearances, but they aren't centrally revolving around them. They are a little involved, which makes me sound like a total hypocrite, but that was when I *cough* skimmed the rules. But they aren't bad or anything and they are only like in 2 chapters out of like 20. and plus the story is not about them anyway.

I just hate the jonascest stories, they are really bad....I have never actually read them, but if the summary says it, i get so angry....it is not right!

Back to what I was saying, the staff doesn't care...no matter how many times you report, they aren't going to do anything about it...the only way you are going to get a person to remove a fic, is to 1) leave a lot of annoying/rude reviews, or 2)PM them a thousand and one times.

I'm only really reporting in the "A Cinderella Story" section at the moment, the numer of fics have dropped by 150 in the last week or two, I'll move onto Camp Rock eventually

Yes, because even if the author can't find another site to post a fic, if its against the rules for fanfiction.net it should not be posted.

I don't care if your friend Simply Nobody has written fics that are against the rules, she posted the fics knowing that it was against the rules so she doesn't deserve any sympathy.

I think what you are doing is kinda wrong, I don't go hunting around for stories to report. If you want to you can, but don't hunt around for them. If I come across them, then I tell the author. Again there really is no point in reporting all the fics here, because all they are going to do is remove the story and then someone is going to replace it again.

There simlply is no way to get rid of all the fics because people are just going to keep writing them. Plus, just wait a few more months and there will be a JONAS section so they will all move there.

I know, I really don't get why you just hunt around for stories to report. That means that you probably don't have anything else to do. I agree with Izzy Rockette. My philosophy, if you don't like it don't read it. Same with YouTube, if anyone has heard about the leeonalewis who is trying to get rid of all the Jonas Brothers video's on the site. As in she wants to take down all the video's that the Jonas Brothers have posted. It is just like here, if you don't like it there then just ignore it and don't keep looking for more like it. Just because you don't want to read them, doesn't mean others don't......even though it is against the rules. People's dreams about getting rid of all RPF's, is not going to come true. EVER

These are what I found when I googled Jonas Brother Fanfiction anyways.

Go to the official Jonas Brothers Fan Site (by JB), in the guidlines they say that they are NOT big fans of them, but they put the section there because people like them. So that is a good site to post them, since if is expecially for you RPF writers.

Another good one is the JonasBrothersFanfictionarchive. Alot of them are going there.

Small comment: I don't report the fics. I'll warn them with the same copy/paste review and be done with it. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take long to do so.

Reporting takes a while. That's why I rarely do so. However, if the author ignores the warning, then I do.

I've only done it once, but if I find one I will try to report it. It doesn't matter if the administrators are slow, and they would be slow with all the work they have to do. We still need to try and report these stories.

If the JB have a section for fan fiction on their site, it would not be a good idea for the writers here to put their stories there, not with some of the disgusting stuff by brother incest in them. Personally, I never knew they did that. But if they say they aren't big fans of fan fiction, then it should be a clue not to write about them.

Not every star takes the idea of fan fiction well, some do, but not everyone. The JB are a multi-million/billion dollar act owned by Disney, and Disney has an image to protect. I would imagine their agents would be horrified at some of the works here. If they sue, this site would be shut down, there is no doubt. Libel cases are hard to prove for stars, but even if they didn't win the amount of money needed to bring it to court would be huge. The maker's of this site provide it to us for free, they don't charge us and obviously have another job. fanfiction.net is a wonderful gift to us. It's not right to put this site at risk.

And JONAS won't solve the problem. While I wondered if it might cause a rift between those that want to write about the show and those that wanted to write for the band, the category isn't up yet. Besides, it just means there will still be JB stories on here. When JB stories were getting annoying, everyone kept saying, move it to Camp Rock. Constantly shuffling around this stuff doesn't solve the problem.

This stuff needs to go. At the very least, it needs to be reduced so it isn't so visible.
