Topic: Needing feedback from Authors

Hello, I'm writing Supernatural fanfic but I'm having to do it the old fashioned way, by hand in a notebook. so my question is, what are some ways I can get a plot going, and keep it going without running out of steam in mid-story. I'm good with Beginning, Middle and End stuff, but the filler is what i'm having trouble with. I'm using fan-fic as my practice for when I write my acutal book and try to get published. Anyone have some tips to share?

When I'm in the middle of a story I typically write moments like . Brotherly Fluff, Humor and any moments you would really like to see on the show..

Hope I helped, good luck on your writing!!

When I'm teaching story writing to my class of 10/11 year olds, I always tell them to start with the problem/conflict and work from there. It seems to focus them more.

Yeah, I agree with Farrahmack. Humour and brotherly moments are great - not only for the purpose of filler, but it can actually help a lot in adding more depth to characters and fleshing them out a bit more. If you didn't have these moments and had the brothers... say, constantly going: "Let's torch this demon", and then be on the road again, and just doing the same thing over and over without some sort of banter and maybe some deeper conversations, people don't care so much about the characters.

It's great though that you know your beginning, middle and end, though. It's always most important to know what you're leading up to, and for filler you can also include some foreshadowing or cryptic hints as to what's going to happen next.

:) Hope this helps!
