Yeah, no kidding! I was just absolutely livid about the ending! Watched the episode through again from the start in shock immediately afterward. Was up til 2AM on a work night, fuming, ranting, and censoring myself enough to post in public forums :-D I literally could not sleep til after I wrote a little episode tag for it!

Ending aside, though, the rest of the episode was just toe-curlingly glorious!!! Holy crap!! I'd specify parts, but the whole thing was just so great. And intense! My god!

I thought it was definitely one of the best episodes. If not THE best.

Your muse has ADD? Not compared to mine. As if having ADD in school wasn't bad enough, I keep spacing out in class thinking about my big Supernatural plot bunny.

I hope they show re-runs over the summer or that the DVD of Season 1 comes out soon. I haven't seen that many episodes. I've missed 8 of them.(The first 4 and the 6th through the 9th.) By the way, what was with the ending!?!

I hate cliffhangers. But this one wasn't as bad as it could've been. Could've been so much more nail biting. As is, it was memory enducing for me. But any scene with a car accident does that to me, esp when it invloves a semi. I can't say that I'm all that upset about the car getting totalled...don't get me wrong the Impala is/was a nice car. I love classic cars. But I'd have been in tears if it had been a GTO. Mmmm, GTO 440....someday.

Anyhoo...just a couple observations about this epi. I found it interesting how Dean didn't flinch when the Demon started telling him how their dad favoured Sam- loved Sam more. Sam did though. Dean just smirked at him. I just found that interesting. Also loved how Sam chose Dean's side, not once but twice. He believed Dean when Dean said that their dad wasn't their dad. He sided with Dean again when Dean pleaded with him not to kill their dad. That musta been hard. Dad yelling and begging for him to kill him and Dean dying not that far away begging him not to kill their dad. In many ways Dean reminded me of a scared little boy. But the way Dean moved around the backseat kinda bugged me. When they showed John talking he was clearly leaning against the door behind Dad. Then Sam's talking and his head is clearly behind Sam. Sam looks in the rear veiw and he's laying across the seat. And then they get hit and he's sitting behind Sam again.

I did feel bad for Meg after they freed her. And poor Tom never had a chance. Also found it interesting how Sam didn't fight back when Tom tackled him. Granted you get punched in the head a couple times and you're not really going to be thinking clearly, but before that he didn't seem to try. Of course Tom coulda pinned him to the ground the same way that he threw Dean into the car.

Sad that Dean figured out their dad was possessed because he was being too nice about him using a bullet. If John'd kept his mouth shut and stayed out of the room for a little longer, Dean might have let down another wall. I'm really enjoying how complex he's turning out to be. He's afraid of the killer inside him. Oooo think that I just gave myself a little fuzzy plot bunny....

Now comes the hating cliffhangers again. We have to wait all summer to find out what the demon in the truck driver's going to do. Wouldn't be hard to kill them since they're all unconscious, and Dean's already seemingly half dead. Not to mention what the big bad demon has planned for Sam and other kids/people like him.

Okay well have to go finish the shopping list...hate grocery shopping almost as much as I hate putting gas in the car, but both have to get done, so...

I don't think the cliffhanger over the summer is as bad as not knowing if there'll even be a second season. I think the wait until the 18th will feel longer than the wait until September. By the way, does anyone know where will they be announcing which shows made it to The CW ?

I'm sure there will be a few sites, but I'm certain that http://supernatural.tv will have it. And I'm pretty sure that someone will post here too.

Hi, I know this is incredibly short notice, but for night owls reading this in the NY area, there will be an interview with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on the WB morning show at 7:40 am on Thursday May 18th. I have a feeling they will let us know if the show is renewed, and I'll post here as soon as I know. Hope this posting is okay, wasn't sure where to put it. Maybe the WB will save the clip and post it to their website. Have a good evening :)

Hi, if you missed it don't worry, it was only a few minutes long, but the interviewer started by saying congratulations on a second season, and that it would be official at the upfronts later on, so woo-hoo! The show is definitely coming back!

hey guys,

sorry things have been a little slow lately (but hey where's your show discussion?)

If you know spoilers for s2 please don't post them (you're welcome to link to a post elsewhere regarding said spoilers, but a lot of people including myself are trying to avoid them like the plague) so show discussion can be speculation, and anything to do with episodes 1 through to 22 :) and then once the episode has aired you'll be able to talk about it :)

I know there are Brits and Aussie's that might not have seen it after the 28th but it'd be a lot more difficult to contain spoilers once the episode has aired.

Thanks again, guys!

So far, SUPERNATURAL (after returning from its second Season II hiatus) is turning out to be an interesting journey, though not as interesting as the first season. It gave me the creeps with episodes like "Crossroad Blues" and "Croatoan", and fell off the wagon with episodes like "Hunted" (I had this mildly figured out before it left me in suspense; That's what they made me wait for? "Sammy, you might turn Evil, and I'm gonna hafta kill you. According to Dad anyways.") and the current episode "Playthings." And the episode summaries I read for the upcoming episodes, one in particular annoys me. Sam ditches Dean for a third time and goes missing for a week, then calls for help. I hope this doesn't before a weekly routine with Sam and his hissy fits when he can't get his way (I know that makes him sound like a six-year-old, but bear with me here, seriously)? Sam-Ditch-Dean, then call him or vice versa? That is seriously irritating.

I think the episode that left me dying(figuratively obviously), was the season finale of season 4. Everything about it made me crazy and rolling around in agony and gasping and just reacting like I would have a heart attack. I'm really excited for the new season, and I hope it full of more Dean and Sam moments. The moment when Sam said I'm sorry to Dean was so heartbreaking. And I hope Sam gets off the juice(if you all understand) and I can't wait to see Lucifer. I'm super excited for Season 5!!!

I am so excited for season 5 as well! I cannot believe that it ended that way! I am excited to see what Lucifer looks like. I am kind of hoping not to have an old man. I hate seeing Lucifer as an old man. I actually want to see him as a young man. I mean, for God sakes he is a demon. Demon's would not want to cast themselves as old men or women. Plus, granted they are old-but that is in human terms. Immortal terms, they are all still fairly young. So no old men! Plus his voice. Geez, it scared the h*** out of me. I am fairly impressed with his voice. He is supposed to be malicious, cunning, manipulative, just pure evil-the suave kind of evil with arrogance. I know I keep going on about how Lucifer is going to be-but its because I do not want to be disappointed. I just have to say I enjoyed the season and I am looking forward to season 5.
