Korriban was the sole planet in the Horuset system, located across the galaxy from Koros Major[4]. It was the original homeworld of the Sith species and a sacred planet for the Sith Order, housing the tombs for many ancient and powerful Dark Lords of the Sith, and containing tremendous dark side power.

After the Hundred Year Darkness, the remaining Dark Jedi interbred with the Sith species and ruled the Sith using their Force powers. After the Great Hyperspace War, Korriban was abandoned and became a barren world.

Due to the planet's harsh terrain (or the power of the dark side), Korriban's native fauna was both vicious and cunning, including creatures such as the fierce terentateks. The bat-like Shyracks lived in great numbers in caves on the planet. Tuk'ata hounds were also fairly common. Dark side dragons, or Hssiss, were also found on Korriban, though as semi-aquatic creatures, they were quite rare. Wraid were also found on Korriban. There is evidence that, at one point, the planet was home to an ape or primate-like species, although by the time of Naga Sadow the species was long gone. Though it is possible that the primate-like species was somehow connected to the Sith species, no conclusive link between this species and the Sith species was known. The highly venomous Pelko bug was an insect native to the planet—its venom had a potent numbing effect and was used in Sith training sabers by the Brotherhood of Darkness during the end of the New Sith War.

Also, due to the relative aggression of the species inhabiting Korriban, creatures such as the Tuk'ata and the Shyrack were transferred to Telos, to aid in the Republic recovery effort led by the Ithorian Council.

Iraput the first crystals back in the furnace and took the seond set out he placed them on the bench the noticed Darth Kathyss come in the room. He turned at went down on one knee and bowed his head.

Kathyss raised an eyebrow at this.

"It appears your time in meditation has taught you some remembrance of etique and manners when dealing with Sith Lords. I'd advise you keep it that way. You'll be killed outright if you refuse to respect your superiors and fellow Sith. Understand boy?"

"I only repect those that deserve it" he said standing at taking the first crystals out and putting the second set one back in.

"I suppose so. Still, you would do well to think before you act, especially if you want to truly master Juyo!"

Ira continued fiddling with lightsabre parts "How may sith are here"

"At the Academy or all together?"

"Both" Ira replied putting a black handle together

"Honestly, we get so many new students that come in and many others get killed, that I never bothered to keep track. My guess would be about 50, perhaps. there are about 8 teaches normally, not counting the other Sith that come in every now and then to check up on the students, and about 500 guards. On a whole, depending on if any died or were recently promoted, there are about 3 to 4 hundred Knights, and about 32 masters, last I checked. There are only 6 Lords though, currently."

Kathyss gave Ira a serious look as he spoke this next part.

"This last part will be a VERY important piece of knowledge to know while you are here. If you want to learn more and excell faster you need to impress the Sith masters and Knights here, and in doing so they will be more 'inclined' to give you some tutoring and private lessons on the Darkside. So make sure you impress them with either power, skill, or with, perhaps the most impressive quality sought out here, cunning and scheming."

Arriving at the Hidden Sith Academy, Ira

Ira bowed "if another apprentice attacks me and I kill him what happens to me" Ira asked changing the crystals over again

Landing at the Hidden Sith Academy, Darth Kathyss

"The masters and the headmaster there try to limit students killing on another to a reasonable degree (reasonable for Sith lol) to make sure that not all the students are killed just the weak ones. If that happens then you can be praised for it and gain the favor of many of the masters and knights. However, killing too many will just cause the masters to have you executed as it will become more detrimental for us if so many promising young students were taken before their time."

Landing at the Hidden Sith Academy, Ira

Ira nodded putting all four of the small crystals together then putting them in the furnace.

((He's had a week, Ira should be done with those crystals by now?!))

Now exiting the ship, Darth Kathyss

"Get your things, boy. It's time to go."

Ira followed he was carrying a bag of lightsabre parts and crystals.

Kathyss got out of the speeder he and Ira had been using to get here and proceeded inside the Academy...

Apparently the headmaster was currently out on some assignment for Darth Omnibus at the moment and wasn't in for the time being.

Darth Kathyss looked over to Ira.

"Go on over to the registration room, down this hall, to find out where your quarters will be and what your classes will be."

The Sith Academy, Ira

Ira bowed then walked to the registration desk "I want to know where my quarters will be"

LM-9 looked through the databases until he found the information he needed.

"Yes, we've been expecting you, Mr. Astur. Your quarters are in the west wing, room 13. Shall, I send for someone to lead you there, Mr. Astur?"

"Call me Ira and yes"

The Sith Academy, Sith Advisor Droid LM-9

"Very well then, Ira."

An escort and servent droid appeared.

LM-9: "This here is ALN-14, he'll be acting as your assistant and guide for your term here as long as you see fit."

ALN-14 bowed to Ira.

"Thank you" he said bowing and turning to Allen "so Allen where are my quarters"

The droid was a bit puzzled until he realized that Ira here had called him by a 'nickname' that the Sith Hopeful had apparently come up with.

"Right this way, Master. Just follow me."

Allen began walking towards their destination...

Ira followed Allen "so how long you been here"

"I've been operational for about 5 months now, master. I do hope you survive here and acheive your ultimate programming here, master. It would be a shame if you were to be among the near hundreds that die here every year. Such a shame, especially when their deaths leave all their bodily liguids and organs all over the place. You would not believe how creative the other students and teachers can get with killing."

"Dont worry I wont let them kill wether they will be alive is unknown" Ira joked "any way how much further?"

The Sith Academy, Allen

"We should be arriving at our destination right about~.... now."

They arrived at a room with the number 13 on it.

Allen opened the door for Ira.

"Will you be needing anything else, master?"

"That will be all for now" Ira said walking in and and putting his stuff down and getting all the sabre parts out.

Allen walked in, closing the door behind him, and then walked to a far corner in the small room and just stood there.

Ira began putting the lightsabre together "Wondering do you know how many students are here?"

"I'm given consistent up to date information on such things. Currently there are 63 stu.... oh wait. Okay, now there are 61 students enrolled and living here currently, master."

"Okay" Ira said putting the crystals in the handle finished the last few touches then activated the two red blades when they were activated he smiled and looked at the light sabre.

Ira's room, Allen

"Do you wish for me to provide you with information on your possible weekly scheduale, master?"

The Sith Academy, Ira

"Call me Ira and if you could" Ira said practicing quickly

Ira's room, Allen

Allen was and sounded almost mortified.

"But master, that would be uncalled for! I'm a mere droid and you are an aspiring Sith. I'm nothing more than a slave and tool for you to use to survive and rise to power. Not calling you master, would be an insult to you and a failure to me for not fufilling my required program."

"Calling me master when I prefer Ira is more insulting and im not a master yet" Ira said

Ira's room, Allen

"That may be true in one form, but I am a servent and tool of you, so therefore you are MY master. If I dared to call you by a name other than that, it would be seen as a weakness for yourself. And we do want to keep you alive for as long as possible."

Ira shook his head "I prefer a straight fight any way so I dont care" He replied "so do I have any lessons or what ever today"

Ira's room, Allen

"No you are apparently suppose to be meditating and relearning your place and way as a Sith for today, Master."

((Btw, the droids like him HAVE to call the ones they serve master, it's part of their programming and those that don't get either memory wipes or destroyed for disobedience and lack of proper respect.))

Ira nodded and put the new sabre down "Where do we eat"

"There is a mess hall, but most students and faculty prefer to have the food brought to their rooms."

"Whats more likly to get me attacked" Ira asked

Ira's room, Allen

"Going to the mess hall has a far greater chance of others assaulting you, especially given that you are new and considered 'fresh meat' by the other students, Master. Having the food brought to you has far less risks of getting into fights, but does have an increased risk of assassination, normally through poisons."

"Where is the mess hall" he asked grabbing the lightsabre and attaching it to his belt

Ira's room, Allen

Allen handed Ira, a datapad containing basic neccessary information about the Sith Academy and it's surroundings, including a map.

"Shall I escort you there, Master?"

Ira's room,Ira

Ira put his black robe on, "Yes if you can" he said walking out the room

"I should warn you Master, that having your meals poisoned every now and then is a standard procedure here at the Academy. It is done to make sure the students are always on their guard and to test their skills of awareness, Master."
