"I'm not sure. May have to get a proper look." She then exited the ship then the hanger, and it was cold. Not that it was ever worm but it had seriously dropped seance the last she knew. So much so that even she wasn't staying out to long.

Echo Base Main Hanger, Zeb

Zeb followed Jann. The bodies and droid remains had been brought in out of the cold into the hangar. As Zeb examined the wounds he was surprised by what he recognized them as.

"None of these were not done by claw, blade, or blaster. This was by a lightsaber and what appears to be crushing pressire from the Force?"

"This was no stamide. The way the parts are separated sagest that some skirmish took place here. Did you guys notice anything odd on our way back?" She asked curiously.

Echo Base Main Hanger, Zeb

A nearby crew member at their base walked over and informed them that these were taken near Echo 14 station outpost. They were brought here by a recovery team moments ago for medical diagnostics.

Zeb looked to Jann.

"At least these weren't done in any of our bases. Still.... what would a Jedi or Dark Jedi be doing out here anyway?"

Another crew member walked in to report that team 6 from the raid hadn't checked back in yet...

Echo Base Main Hanger, Jann

"It seems we have more pressing issues to deal with at the moment. We'll have to figure this mystery out later. Zed I would like you and a some of the seiner officers to accompany me on this. Lockam your in charge till we return." She then got in to an unmarked ship and took off.

Coldheart Cantina, Keegan

Keegan let out a mirthful laugh as he walked down the ramp of the Sound Retreat and went to the Coldheart Cantina. Sitting down in his usual seat, Keegan ordered a Corellian ale and a bantha burger. "Keep 'em comin' barkeep, I'm feeling good today!" the pirate said, grinning.

"Well the last few days have certainly been very interesting to say the least."

Zeb took a seat near Keega.... his Shistaven nature having him feel more relaxed with at least some personal space....

Turning to his fellow pirate, Keegan grinned and asked, "How ya doin' Zeb, ya hungry?"

Zeb's order of Bantha ribs was brought to him and he made a muffled "yeah", as he started digging in...

Jann had left the base after landing her ship, she was in need of some venting so she took her stress out on the wild life near her. After a little wile she felt better so she decided to got the the Cantina. She walked in and noticed that Zeb and Keagen were there already.

Setting down his burger, Keegan turned around to face Jann. "What's up boss?" he greeted, grinning, "Drinks are on me, so what would ya like?"

"Wow you are in a good mood. Hmm I think I may have a Ebla." She said as she took a seat. "So whats the selibrashen fore?"

Coldheart Cantina, Keegan

If he had eyebrows, Keegan would have raised one of them. "The victory over Zin, Jann" he replied. Turning back to the bartender he added, "An Ebla for our esteemed leader." He handed the bottle to Jann and paid the bartender.

"Right, That deserves a celebration though I dough we're the only ones celebrating." She said as she took a swig. She felt kind of dumb now for asking that but certainly didn't show it. That had bin an ongoing fight for a while and one they weren't sure if they were going to win but with the today's events they manged and now the peopels of that system were free. Truly it was a day to celebrate.

"Indeed my friends, indeed. People deserve a proper leader like our Jann here, and the Squib's king, not some oppressive tyrant" Keegan replied, taking a swig of his ale, "Terrorizing your people will only make them want to stick your head on a pike, not do everything ya say. I may be a pirate, and I may steal 'n plunder, but I hate people like Zin. I wonder what the people he oppressed are doin' to his sorry ass? I hope it hurts." The Duros picked up his burger and started eating it again.

"Why thank you Keegan. But yes I agree that leaders shouldn't be such immoral, inhuman, viscus, murdering Scum like that." She clenched her fist for a moment then relaxed. "Well at any rate he's through terrorizing people and they can find rulers for there respective planets. "

"Any time boss" Keegan replied, grinning. He finished off his Corellian ale and set the bottle down. "Well, if anybody needs me or wants to join me, I'm going to go take a couple 'o turns around the system in the Sound Retreat." He got up and left for the hangar.

Sound Retreat, Echo Base, Main hangar, Keegan

Switching on the ship's systems, Keegan prepped the Sound Retreat for takeoff. He switched on his comm. link and spoke to Jann: "Seein' those bodies carved up by a lightsaber gave me the chills, and that don't happen very often. If the kriffin' Sith or some other saber jockies are lurkin' around our humble little system, it might be a good idea to amp up our patrols, just incase. If they come knockin' on our doors, we should be prepared for whatever they bring along."

Jann finished her drink then left the Cantina. She then reserved the call from Keegan. "Yeah you're right that's why I'm having things on alert for now."

Cockpit of the Sound Retreat, Keegan

"Alright then, Jann. I'll be back shortly, and if I don't come back, it's been a honor serving under you. Keegan out." He put his comm. link away and flew out of the hangar and away from the white globe of Hoth. Switching on his long-range scanners, the pirate let them do their job. He popped a music disc into the console and leaned back in his chair to wait.

"Same to you.." she said to herself as she put the come link down and got to work raising there defences and what not.

One of the Pirate communications officers ran over to Jann's quarters and knocked on her door hurriedly...

Sound Retreat, main hangar, Echo Base, Keegan

Having found nothing, Keegan returned to Echo. Setting his ship down in the hangar, the Duros relaxed in his chair for a moment. Picking up his comm. link, he contacted Jann. "Anything change while I was away?" he asked, chuckling.

Jan picked up the com link and answered. "No, not..." Just then she hired the knock at her door, jugging by the sound it appeared urgent. "I'll get back to you on that." She said and switched of the com ling. "It's open." she said standing from her chair.

The man was breathing heavily from having run so far so fast.

"I think.... milady, you may want to see what we just pulled up on the HoloNews right away!!!"

Leaning back in the pilot's chair, Keegan waited politely for Jann to get back to him.

The spokeswoman was speaking:

The reporter continued on as what she had just said began to sink into everyone's minds in Echo Base!

Jan thought to herself, I and my crew really stepped in it now. How was I to know these things. "Well all we can do now is deal with it." she said aloud still to herself. "Yes, Thank you, I shall get the other officers and such together so we can discus what is to be done."

The deck hand nodded and headed off.

Meanwhile the basic concept that the news station was lead to believe that the Republic would be using was being told. Apparently, their main targets are the Blood Dragons, but they will be wiping out as many pirate forces as possible in the process and crackdown on smuggling and slaver operations.....

Taking his comm. link from his belt, Keegan contacted Jann. "I take it you've heard the bad news?" he asked, "Flandon's Teeth Jann, how the hell are we going to stop a VSD!" He shook his head in disbelief and added, "Those things are seventeen kilometers long, crawling with more weaponry than we have total!"
