JestermanTopic: RULES
1. Use correct spelling and grammar as much as you can. 2. Be polite and respect the rules. 3. Remember to keep language and insults to a minimum. 4. No godmodeling. Nobody can be all powerful. 5. No powerplaying. You do not have permission to control somebody else's character, unless given permission by said player. This includes killing off somebody's character without permission. 6. No Mary Sue. Remember that nobody is perfect. 7. If your character goes to another planet that doesn't already have a thread, get a Moderator to start a new one for you. 8. You can only play as Original created characters. 9. Questions may be posted here or PMed to me. This list is subject to change at any time. | #1 Sep 08th 2008, 11:21am . Edited Jun 22nd, 4:11pm

JestermanRule #10: All characters posted by a moderator are automatically acceptable unless a complaint about that character is charged against them. |
|
JestermanRule #11: If your character has a lightsaber you have to mention its type and perferably anything special about it!!!! Rule #12: For those of you who are particular about lightsaber stuff (I know I'm guilty of this too), unless mentioned by the players in their character profiles, all lightsabers are assumed to use a Mephite focusing crystal. Which, in case anyone doesn't know, is pretty much the most basic of focusing crystals that allow for a standard lightsaber to work. This does not apply to Sith as it will be assumed they use Synthetic "bloodshine" crystals for their lightsaber. Also, all lightsabers that aren't mentioned to be able to work underwater or act as a dual-phase will not work as such. Important note: All Jedi Council members and some masters are the only ones that are normally allowed to use Kaiburr shards for their lightsabers. (Kaiburr shards are among the most powerful and desired lightsaber focusing crystals.) | #3 Sep 27th 2008, 3:43pm . Edited Jan 19th, 4:05pm

JestermanRule #13: No organization that is not made by an Administrator or a Moderater is allowed without the approval of one of the Mods or the Admin. |
|
JestermanRule #14: Technically this is an advising rule and not so much a mandatory one. It is recommended that players list their plot goals and ideas that they want to reveal in the Chat Thread, the Frustrated Thread even, etc. This way we act more as a community. In my opinion IMs almost tore our rpgs apart as nobody was use to it and less was shown on the forums. If we post more of what we want to do on the forums than others can see it and understand when their characters could come in better and it would help the co-operation overall. At least, that is my hope. |

JestermanRule #15: Despite some people's accusations I do respect the free will and free speech of all people. However, be that as it may, I have also noticed how arguments that are visible to everyone tends to draw out the worst of it. I myself, never liked public arguments, accussations, or insults much. So as of now, all arguments and insults towards others are to be kept to a minimum. *Anyone can still post what they want, but be warned, anyone's posts that take it too far WILL possibly be subject to deletion in order to respect other's privacy. Don't forget that everyone who's subscribed to that thread will get an E-mailed copy, of whatever is posted, sent to them upon it being completed. Sadly, we can't erase that, but we can make sure it isn't there to mock those people. As an addition to respect people's freedom of speech they will be asked to edit that post themselves first, unless of course if it's really that bad and I mean REALLY bad. If they don't aggree to it, than it will be deleted. | #6 Jan 17th, 9:00pm . Edited Jan 17th, 9:00pm

JestermanRule #16: For certain missions that involve a lot of players it is suggested that we try to put a chronology listings like we do with locations, but only for the big ones so fewer players get lost. This mainly includes long winded campaigns or battles. We also should try to at least put in some idea of how much time goes by when we post characters returning to previous locations and all! | #7 Mar 01st, 1:23pm . Edited Mar 12th, 8:18pm

JestermanRule #17: As warning, all players who don't post, without telling someone they'll be gone, within at least a 30 day period are subject to being left behind. I'm sorry but it's not fair to the other players to have to wait around for "No Shows"! | #8 Apr 14th, 7:52pm . Edited Apr 14th, 8:01pm

JestermanRule #18: Before you edit any character's profile to add or change anything major, like adding a new power, you must notify a Moderator or me the Administrator. Otherwise, we are allowed to go back and edit it for you!!! |

JestermanRule #19: No Yuuzhan Vong!!! | #10 Sep 24th, 11:18am . Edited Sep 24th, 11:19am

JestermanRule #20: This should be of importance. Every lightsaber made, unless designed otherwise, has nearly always been unable to be activated and turned on remotely, especially with the Force. Unless said otherwise they need to be activated manually. This is a safety feature common to all lightsabers to prevent an enemy Force-user from simply turning on the users on lightsaber and then moving it to just kill or maim him or her like that! |
|
Comrade ClausYou don't mind me mentioning that in "The Crystal Star", the villains had lightsabers like this? (Force-Activated) Let's just say Rule #20 is a VERY GOOD RULE! |
|
Near-sighted JediCouldn't an enemy just snatch it off your belt with the Force and then activate it manually? |
|
Jesterman((Yeah but at least this way it can't remotly lob off your leg or worse!!!)) Rule #21: Only myself as Administrator and Shadow B. Panther are allowed to post new rules in here!!!! ((SBP lives near me and I can always find him if I have a problem plus he's been at this longer than me and I trust him!!!)) |
