Topic: Other Planets

Put the name of the planet above your post. I don't want to clog up the forum with heaps of dead threads.

Space, heading towards Rishi

Onboard the End of Glory

Alyeska leaned back in her chair, preparing for a long flight. She wished she had something to work on; she needed to keep herself occupied. She had a nagging feeling though, that she needed all her wits about her. Something was going to go wrong, and soon.

"Get ready," she warned Kyra, "I've got a bad feeling about this. Once we hit planetside, I'm going to be watching our tails very closely. Jedi intuition."

Alyeska paused for a minute then, debating with herself, but decided she had to ask the question. Their safety depended on it.

"I'm really sorry I have to bring this up... but what are we doing with Tallon? We need to decide now."

~~

Onboard the Par'jila Mar'eyce (Triumphant state of heaven, Triumphant+ discovery, triumphant+something found at last. Pun because Reyce's name is derived from Mar'eyce, so it could be describing her as victorious.)

Rey'ce kept the Mar'eyce just close enought that she could follow the End of Glory with out being detected. She would follow them to wherever they were going- and on this course, it could only be Rishi- and then she would make them pay. She might or might not alert the othe Mandalorians to their presence, but she would take their lives the way they had taken Dasaala, the last of her family.

"Jetiib kyram." she said.

Space, heading towards Rishi

Onboard the End of Glory

Kyra nodded. She had learned to trust Jedi intuition. She powered up the weapons and long range scanners, just in case, and started scanning the space around them.

Then she bit her lip. "We're going to stun and blindfold him, and leave him on the planet. He won't know where he is or where we are, or where we intend to go, and I'll make sure he's left in a relatively safe place. That way he's out of our hair and as this is a Mando planet, he'll be among his own kind."

Onboard the End of Glory

Alyeska slowly nodded.

"He doesn't know anything important, does he? If not, we should be fine."

She looked over the power readings, reassuring herself once again that all was fine. Hyperdrive functional. Nothing was going to blow the minute she turned her back. This time.

Alyeska really had deplorable luck with ships.

~~

Onboard the Parj'ila Mar'eyce

Reyce discreetly commed ahead on a hidden Mandalorian chanel. To her annoyance a civilian, probably from one of the forced labor gangs she despised, answered.

"This is the Triumphant Discovery," she said, giving the name in basic so as not to hear her native tongue butcheredm "Raise a class delta alert as base. Two Jedi on their way in system. The should be on Rishi soon enough."

End of Glory

Shaa shook her head. "Nah," she said. "I made sure he doesn't." she checked the systems on her new ship and was satisified nothing would blow up. "We should be getting to Rishi soon," she commented. "What will we do there?"

End of Glory

"First," said Alyeska, standing, "We should do this."

She skinshifted again, this time into a face she never thought she would wear. When she was finished, a half-human, half-Sephi Mandalorian stared back at Kyra sternly. Ice-blonde hair fell to her shoulders, tucked behind pointed ears. Pale eyes glittered dangerously. Alyeska had even managed to similate silvery-grey armor trimmed with gold.

"Convincing?" she asked for Kyra's approval, and then continued, "Then we should probably take care of Tallon and find a safe place to lay low. I don't think we'll have to look far for Reyce; she'll probably find us. In the meantime we should gather any information we can."

She thought for a moment.

"The mountains might be a good place to hide. Mostly natives up there. But for information, we need to infiltrate the Mandalorian camps."

End of Glory

Kyra went through a similar transformation, but to a familiar form, that of a man in his mid-twenties, with cold green eyes and a cruel smirk. This was the form she had used in the past to gain information from Mandos. That done, she nodded at the plan. "Sounds good." her new voice had an edge to it that the more familiar form of a Zabrak didn't, one that said much about the cruelties this man had done.

"Lets go." she said as they dropped out of hyperspace over Rishi.

End of Glory

They dropped into a cluster of Mandalorian patrol ships. Alyeska swore vibrantly, and ran to a console on one side of the cockpit, quickly hacking their own ship's mainframe and changing the ID signature.

"Run some interference on their comm and scans. Whatever you've got.," Alyrsak told Kyra

She changed the ID over so that it listed the ship as the "Suum Ca'nara", out of recently captured Serenno.

Then she signaled Kyra to answer the comm.

End of Glory

"Someone tipped them off." Kyra swore in a mix of languages, an unintelligable jumbled mess as she created interference on the comms, but wasn't sure how to scramble scans in this new ship. She really missed the Lucky Break.

"You talk," she muttered in Shi'idese before opening the channel.

Alyeska's voice was crisp and cool as she answered, her tone not betraying her shaking hands.

"This is Nau'ur Dral, co-Captain of the Suum Ca'nara. Is their a problem, vod'e?"

#10 May 22nd, 2:22pm
Catloverkid377148

Kyra waited for the response, which came a minute later.

"We were tipped off two Jedi would be coming. Have you seen any signs of Jedi nearby?" the other asked. "I will have to ask you to accept an escort down to the base. I'm sure you understand."

"Ner vod," Alyeska, "if we had seen any Jetii, their blood would be used to paint the side of our shab'la hull. My captian here-"

Alyeska paused for a split second, waiting for Kyra to mouth an alias at her.

((Not of names. It's an entire dictionary. Downloaded it off of Karen Traviss's website. It's handy to have when I'm writing fanfics for Republic Commando or the Mandalorian Wars, and the same goes for RPing. I just remembered Orade from "Sacrifice" though. See you later.))

"Aranov Orade," Kyra mouthed at her.

"My captain, Aranov Orade," said Alyeska smoothly, "has a particular dislike for Jedi. He collects souvenirs, if you catch my drift. But the Suum Ca'nara is on her maiden voyage after a long rehaul. Stole her from the Republic base on Serenno before it was captured, and had it made over. She could use a little action. Got any glow-stick weilding hut'uune you wanna send us after? Orade and I'd be happy to oblige."

Alyeska bid for time, trying to think of a way to explain Tallon.

#20 May 22nd, 9:03pm
Catloverkid377148

Kyra smiled mercilessly. She already had an explanation planned for Tallon. She wanted to deliever it face to face to someone though. "It'd be our pleasure to rid you of any jetii problem you may have."

#21 May 22nd, 9:07pm
Rev'ika

"Neg that, Ca'nara. You'll cosent to escort then?"

"We will, though its a waste of your time and mine, ner vod."

There was a loud sigh over the transmission.

"Tell me about it. Even the Jedi aren't di'kuts enough to try to fly into Rishi on a psuedo-Mandalorian ship, but will the higher ups listen to me? You're clear for entry."

Alyeska grinned to herself.

"Nau'ur Dral out."

#22 May 22nd, 9:15pm
Catloverkid377148

After the transmission ended, Kyra burst in to most un-Mando-like giggles. "Nice. We aren't stupid enough to fly in? Thats what they think."

"Force be praised, at least Reyce seemed intelligent," replied Alyeska, laughing as well, "So what's the story? And how do we explain our friend in the electrocage?"

#24 May 22nd, 9:21pm
Catloverkid377148

"Easy. We lock all the consoles so only we can access them, then intimidate him and let him out. He'll be my nephew who is travelling with us for a little hands on experience hunting Jedi, and is a little shy."

#25 May 22nd, 9:25pm
Rev'ika

Alyeska raised an eyebrow.

"Alright, let's give it a go. It's not like we have much choice, anyway. But if he sings, it'll be the last time. Jedi or no, I can't let him keep throwing us into hot water. Lead us in, Aranov."

#26 May 22nd, 9:29pm
Catloverkid377148

"You'll see. He won't have forgotten the last time he sang." Kyra smiled wickedly and locked out the consoles. "He might act like it, but he doesn't have a death wish." she stood and stretched, this body a little strange after her normal form. "Come, Nau'ur. Lets talk to the nephew."

#27 May 22nd, 9:36pm
Rev'ika

Alyeska flipped a pale lock over her shoulder and stood. She lead the way to Tallon's electrocage and reached out in the Force, finding his esence in it and grabbing hold. Slowly he came around.

#28 May 22nd, 9:39pm
Catloverkid377148

Tallon groaned and held his head. He had a raging headache. "Wha..." he asked, then fell silent when he saw the Shi'ido.

"We're going to let you out. You're going to be my nephew, with us for a little hands on experience hunting Jedi." Kyra said. She leaned closer and hissed, "I locked you out of the control panels. If you try to access anything, you will recieve an electric shock that will keep your arm numb for half an hour. When we land and pass security, we'll drop you off in the city. And if you sing this time, you'll be lucky if Alyeska gets you first."

He shrank back and nodded.

#29 May 22nd, 9:45pm
Rev'ika

"Force be merciful," Alyeska pleaded to no one in particular, and then took a deep breath and switched off the cage's current.

"I'm Nau'ur Dral," she told him sternly, "as for Kyra, she's Aranov Orade. Or rather he is. Are we clear?"

Alyeska choice of a name was a telling one. Nau'ur meant "to illuminate, to make brighter" and dral translated as both "bright, glowing" and "strong, powerful". A little mind game on her part.

#30 May 22nd, 9:54pm
Catloverkid377148

Tallon nodded quickly as he exited the cage and stretched. He had been cooped up so long. As soon as they were out of sight, he headed for the naviconsole.

Kyra heard a yelp of pain and a muffled curse from the cockpit and headed casusally towards Tallon. "Thought I was bluffing?" she asked with a snide grin. He shook his head mutely.

Alyeska sighed, rubbed at her temples, and then grabbed Tallon the back of his neck, digging her nails into his skin, and leading him to the exit ramp. She knew there were Mandos waiting outside for them. She turned to Kyra.

"You're the captain. Lead the way."

#32 May 22nd, 10:02pm
Catloverkid377148

Kyra did so and flicked a dismissive hand towards Tallon. "Come, nephew. Time for a little steel in your bones. Let him go, Nau'ur. You know he doesn't have the stomach for pain."

#33 May 22nd, 10:07pm
Rev'ika

"Whatever you say, Ar'ika." She still had her "helmet" off. She wasn't even trying to ponder the physics of how it was tucked beneath her arm. She caught one of the the male Mandalorians staring at her and gave a not-so-nice smile meant to make him uncomfortable. It worked.

"How long is this going to take?" she demanded of the head of the Mando security force.

#34 May 22nd, 10:11pm
Catloverkid377148

The Mando shrugged, and Kyra gave him a look. "Watch out. When the lady gets steel in her voice, people start dying."

"He's right about that, you know. Hurry it up. The sooner that di'kutla dinii ," Alyeska said with a nod ,"gets trained so we aren't changing his diapers for him, the better. He's ori'laandur, but we promised to make a JEdi killer out of him yet."

(usless lunatic. Very weak.)

#36 May 22nd, 10:22pm
Catloverkid377148

"My sister was concerned she wasn't raising a proper man, so we offered to..." Kyra's eyes gleamed, "help."

Alyeska appreciated the ripples Tallon was giving off in the Force, like squirming, and then caught herself.

What am I doing?

The head Mandalorian seemed unphased, but his men were eyeing "Nau'ur" and "Aranov" wearily.

"I'll need your name and your lady's, ner vod," he told Kyra, "the kid's too. You just come from Serenno? Heard you had a nice piece of action there. Good work with the Count, that was. Kandosii."

#38 May 22nd, 10:31pm
Catloverkid377148

"The lady speaks for herself. As for my nephew, thats Tallon. I'm Aranov." Kyra grinned. "Yeah, we busted some Rep ships pretty bad. Jetii about, too. Bagged a couple." In fact she had been on Serenno, but on the other side, in a different ship.

#39 May 23rd, 8:58pm
Rev'ika

"Nau'ur. And I'm going to illuminate this platform with a couple of plasma grenades if we don't get past this security check soon. We're obviously not dik'utla Jedi or Republic officers. No lightsabers, no Republic comm, no nothing. I'm going to miss my appointment, which means I don't have a bounty or a Jedi to trace, and then I'll take the credits out of your hides, understand?"

Alyeska was being more offensive and impatient then most Mandalorians typcally were with one another, but she wnted to establish Nau'ur Dral as a touchy, not to be messed woman right from the get-go.

The security head snorted.

"I'd watch your tone around here, little lady. You may be a hotshot now, but you keep it up and Aranov will be saying your name on his list of dearly departed every night. But I guess you're free to go."

Alyeska paused, tilting her head to the side.

"What did you just say to me, ner vod?"

Alyeska's voice had lowered to a deep, even tone, but her body language portrayed the exact opposite. The last two words dripped with sarcasm. It was all acting on her part, and she was relying on Kyra to pull her back, but she had the other men convinced. Their hands were on their blasters and beskads.

"Nau'ur," Kyra said sharply. "They said we can go. And I really don't want to train another co pilot."

"You wouldn't have to, even if we did fight," said Alyeska, but she puled away and then began to walk to the gate leading to the main area of the spaceport. "Whatever Aranov. Sithspit, Tallon, stop trembling. Are you a Mandalorian or a sea-mouse? Should I use you as bait for the rollerfish?"

She walked through the gate, leaving Kyra and Tallon to follow her.

Kyra grabbed Tallon by the upper arm and dragged him along after Alyeska.

Once they had cleared the gate, Alyeska turned to Kyra with a grin.

"That was too easy." she murmured in Shi'idese.

#44 May 25th, 2:32pm
Catloverkid377148

"You should have known better than to bait that Mandalorian in any case. You know how volital they are as well as I do." Kyra muttered back. "And that's not a blessing. Thats always a curse in my book. That means theres worse trouble ahead."

#45 May 25th, 8:45pm

"But did I seem like someone on a covert mission? Someone who was trying to avoid attention?" Alyeska asked.

#46 May 25th, 8:49pm
Catloverkid377148

"The opposite. I picked it up but only because I knew, but you came across too forcefully. Treat them like most Mandos would treat each other. If you always do that act, they'll get suspicious. I know I would." Kyra replied.

#47 May 25th, 8:51pm
Rev'ika

Fine. Alyeska grumbled. But I really didn't like that guy. His Force presence reminded me of a carnvierous slime-eel.

Maybe that was what happened when you restrained a being's emotions for their entire lives. The minute they finally got the chance to experience and act on them with out punishment, they went overboard. Alyeska marked it for later thought.

So do we let him go now?

Kyra glanced at Tallon, lagging behind them. "Yeah, I think so," she murmured back. "And don't worry. I didn't like him either."

Alyeska turned to Tallon and switched to Basic, still speaking in hushed tones.

"You know the terms of your parole. We won't be this nice again, so there had better be no next time, clear?"
