Catloverkid377148Tallon nodded quickly. Kyra pushed him into the street. "Now run, and hope we don't catch up to you before I get over my grief," she snarled in his ear, and he ran as fast as he could away from the two Shi'ido. |
Rev'ika(Sorry, I never got a reply alert. Came to check what was taking you so long and realized you had already posted.) Alyeska nearly laughed as she watched him go. "Any idea where to start the search?" |
Catloverkid377148((Its alright. Happened to me before)) Kyra shrugged in a most un-mando-like way. "Dunno," she said. A Mando watched them thoughfully from a doorway, suddenly suspicious of this most un-mando-like behaviour and the fact they both spoke Basic. And what was the business with that boy... |
Rev'ika"Careful, Orade," Alyeska said suddenly. Then she thought for a moment, pushing her uneasyness aside. "We should probably head to the nearest cantina. Seems like a good place to find information on the Jedi." |
Catloverkid377148"Yes, Nau're," Kyra said, falling back into character. She couldn't push the slightest sense of doubt that someone had seen the facade drop aside very easily. "To the cantina." |
Rev'ikaAlyeska strolled into the building with an easy gait. " T'ad buyce net're gal, please." she told the barkeep, "Who do I talk to for information around here?" (Two pints of Mandalorian black ale, please) |
Catloverkid377148Kyra followed her. The barkeeper pointed to a man in the corner who ghosted in behind them. The same man who was following them. |
Rev'ika"Ah.." said Alyeska, and then turned to Kyra. "You're the captain." Translation: I don't wanna do it. |
Catloverkid377148Kyra rolled her eyes and pushed Alyeska slightly towards the man. "This was your idea, Second. Are you telling me you're wimping out?" Translation: Get over there, sit your ** down and talk to him! |
Rev'ikaAlyeska held out one gauntleded hand for the man to grasp palm to elbow in the Mandalorian way. "Su'cuy, ner vod. Ner gai Nau'ur Dral. Tion gar gai? Tion gar aliit?" "Ner gai Kebii't. Me'copaani, Dral?" the man told her, brushing of his dark sapphire armor. "Meg gar vod?" "Aranov Orade. Me'sen be'Aranov bal ni cuyi Suum Ca'nara. Mhi cuyi oya'kari Jetii." (Hello, my friend. My name is Nau'ur Dral. What is yours? What is your clan name? My name is Kebii't. What do you want Dral, and who is your friend? He is Aranov Orade. Our ship is the Suum Ca'nara . We're hunting Jedi." |
Catloverkid377148Kyra waited to one side and let Alyeska and Kebii't talk. |
Rev'ika"Well," the man breathed out slowly, "You're in the right place. There are supposed to be two Jedi running around Rishi right now." |
Catloverkid377148"Really?" asked Kyra, pretendng to be intrigued. "Point us in their direction and there won't be anymore." Inwardly she was laughing. |
Rev'ika"You and twelve other di'kuts." |
Catloverkid377148"Less chance for them to hide." |
Rev'ika"So you're looking for information on the Jetii, then? Fine." The man pulled out a holoprojector, but didn't immediantly continue. "Somethin' is strage about you two." |
Catloverkid377148Kyra raised her eyebrows in what she knew was a inquiring/threatening way. "Oh yes?" she asked. "How so?" her voice was dangerously calm, and she was prepared to spring at any moment. |
Rev'ikaRather than being frightened at Kyra's expression, Kebii't seemed reassured. "Nothing. Here's the information." |
Catloverkid377148Kyra extended her hand to take the information, resisting the urge to laugh, and pocketed it. She inclined her head to Kebii't, and gestured to Alyeska. "Nau'ur, we're going back to the ship," she said. |
Rev'ika"Alright Aranov," Alyeska said obediently. |
Catloverkid377148Kyra stood and inclined her head to him before leading the way to their ship, and sitting in the pilots seat and pulling the projector from her pocket. "So. Lets see our legend," she joked. |
Rev'ika"What are they going to say," Alyeska asked with a laugh, "That we eat babies?" |
Catloverkid377148Kyra laughed too. "Lets see, then." she activated it. |
Rev'ikaAlyeska watched as the projector spluttered on. |
Catloverkid377148((Hey! I'm relying on you to say what this thing says. You're so much better at it than me!)) Kyra did too, and the figure of Reyce appeared. |
Rev'ika(Hey, sorry for the long absence. Was in Maui. And thanks for the compliment, but I have no idea what to say.) Reyce's holo began to speak. "Vode, it is of the utmost importance that we track down these Jedi," it began, "A normal Jetii is dangerous enough- and do not laugh or scoff because the only way for it to be an honorable battle is if they are dangerous- but these two are worse. These two have the ability to wreck all of our plans. They are both shapeshifters and therefore great threats. They must be elliminated immediantly." |
Catloverkid377148((Don't worry. And no problems)) Kyra leaned back causually as the hologram closed itself down. "What? No eating babies?" she grinned at Alyeska. |
Rev'ika"Maybe she ran out of time," suggested Alyeska. |
Catloverkid377148"Maybe," Kyra agreed. "Anyway, nothing juicy in there. I guess we have to keep very low profiles, unless you have another idea. No shapeshifting," she grinned at her friend. "Except here. I know this place is secure, I trawled the whole ship, examining everything when we were enroute." |
Rev'ikaAlyeska groaned. She hated being stuck in one skin for long periods of time. "Fine. But we at least get to do lots of sabotage to mak up for it, right? I mean, Rishi is one of their major depots keeping together their claim over Wildspace." |
Catloverkid377148Kyra grinned wolfishly. "Course we do. Covertly, naturally, but of course we do. And don't worry, we can stay here quite a bit. We'll be safe to change in here." |
Rev'ika"Good," said Alyeska, "We can't wear our natural forms in the street, and I don't want to get stuck in a skin again." As if to prove her point she did a rapid change to Morganian to Ishi Tib to Mandalorian again. Really though, it was just like stretching. |
Catloverkid377148Kyra nodded understandingly. She was in her Zabrak form, but changed to her Mandalorian one. "It isn't pleasant," she agreed. "Not at all." |
Rev'ika"What do we hit first then?" she asked, "Supply routes, machinery, factories? Do and infiltration and subtly rouse dissent? contact the resistance- if there is one?" | #84 Jun 28th, 11:58pm . Edited Jun 29th, 12:00am | |
Catloverkid377148"Hmm, supply routes I think," Kyra said. "And I like infiltration." |
Rev'ika"Then let's move out," replied Alyeska. (I won't be on tommorow; we're driving to Mississippi. After that my posting will be sporadic; I'm going to just have to try and snatch my grandparent's computer from my brother and cousins. MAn, I can't believe I've been back five day and am already leaving again.) |
Catloverkid377148Kyra did so, holding the door open for her friend. ((Ok, have fun.)) |
Rev'ikaAlyeska smiled and walked out. |
Catloverkid377148Kyra shut the door behind them. |
Rev'ika"So," said Alyeska thoughtfully as they walked, "We need to infiltrate the local population and find the major points of their supply routes here on planet. Any ideas?" |
Catloverkid377148"Well, they don't trust us, so... I'd say..." Kyra frowned thoughtfully before saying, "I'd say if we found the worker class we could help them." |
Rev'ika"The locals?" asked Alyeska, skinshifting to your average dark-eyed human woman. |
Catloverkid377148After double and triple checking they were alone, Kyra skinshifted into your average man. |
Rev'ika"Where would the Mandalorians oversee forced labor," she asked softly, "and how?" |
Catloverkid377148Kyra examined the intel on the planet she had on her datapad and then pointed at a point. "Here," she said just as quietly, showing it to Alyeska. "Theres a large mine nearby, as well as easy access to several supply routes." |
Rev'ikaAlyeska frowned. She disliked mines. But she'd put up with it for the mission. "Right, then lets do this." |
Catloverkid377148Kyra set off towards the mines. |
