Alyeska walked halfway down the street in her Morganian form, what she liked to think of her 'other self'. Then she ducked quietly into the nearest public fresher. When she came out she had changed from a short, ash blond, elven-eared woman, to a leggy red-skinned Twi'lek bounty hunter, removing the datachip she had been storing in her body and hiding in the cuff of her tunic.

She went back out into the main building; it was a cantina. As she approached the bar, the Nautolan serving drinks looked her over once or twice.

"You waitin' for some'n?" he asked.

"Yes," Alyeska smiled, "And I'll have Coruscant blush wine and a bowl of sliced sweetroot, please."

Alyeska didn't drink, never had, but it was best to keep up appearances.

A slim Zabrak looked up as Alyeska entered. Unknown to Alyeska, the Zabrak was in fact a Shi'ido by the name of Shaa Krya, who prefered to be called Krya. Krya smiled at Alyeska and gave a little wave.

((who is she waiting for?))

Rev'ika

(Don't actually know. It's kinda a fail-safe opener for me.)

Alyeska saw the wave and, taking her wine, went to stand by the Zabrak.

"Can I sit here?" she asked in basic, and then switched to Shi'idese in an undertone. Even as young as she was by Shi'ido terms, she could always tell another Shi'ido.

"Hello, my name's Alyeska. Have you had any word from home lately?"

Of course, Coruscant was more home to her than Lao-mon, but she tried to stay in touch with the planent's going-ons.

Catloverkid377148

((alright, know the feeling))

Kyra grinned and nodded, "Sure." she spoke quietly in Shi'idese.

"I'm Kyra. And no, I haven't been back in 230 years." she replied.

Alyeska ducked her head bashfully.

"I'm only eighty-eight," she admitted, " so I was there more recently. But I haven't been home since the Jedi found me. I was hoping you'd have some news. It's been awhile since I met another of the same race. So what brings you out here? Nice to meet you, by the way."

#6 Feb 05th, 12:08am
Catloverkid377148

"Don't worry about it. You probably have news for me actually." Kyra laughed. "Same here. We're pretty rare around the galaxy. Anyway, I'm here with the Republic." she winked. "I'm sure you know about the secrecy."

((meaning I have yet to think of a reason... I know! She'll be there to be to report on the Mando's actions. We'll say its still occupied by them.))

#7 Feb 05th, 12:14am
Rev'ika

(Yeah, that'll work. Helps me with Alyeska, too. You wanna smuggle things on or off an enemy-occupied planet, or meet with intel contacts, who better to send than a shape-shifting Jedi?)

"Believe me, I know," Alyeska agreed, thinking of all the security involved in the Revanchist faction right now; especially for people like her, "I'm here on a pick up, actually. Info and cargo. You happen to know where I can aquire either, so the superiors don't shove their lightsabers down my throat?"

#8 Feb 05th, 12:21am
Catloverkid377148

((thats good))

"I'm here just to report on their doings." Krya said. "But as for cargo and info, well I can help you with info, thats what I do here. But my contact can help you with cargo probably. He's all over the buisness scene. What sort of cargo were you after?"

A young Mando was watching the two woman converse in whispers and moved closer to try to hear, recording device out and on, but silent.

((I'll make a profile for him in a minute))

Alyeska felt something in the Force and caught sight of someone out of her peripheral vision.

"Careful," she warned, still in her native tongue, before switching to Twi'leki and beginning to speak carefully rehearsed lies about a stubborn contract, gesturing to the man with a subtle twitch of her lekku.

#10 Feb 05th, 12:30am
Catloverkid377148

Shaa followed her gaze, flicking her eyes very slightly to the man, and noted his presence and the recording equipment he held. She wondered how much he had got. She followed the conversation change smoothly. "Thanks," she added under her breath in her native tounge.

Tallon realised they knew he was there and sighed. He would have to watch these two though, and see what he got.

"You'll help me track down this... scientist, then, yes?" Alyeska asked in seemingly broken Basic, standing, "I have ... data on my ship, if you would like to learn more."

"Lets see just how curious he is" she murmured.

#12 Feb 05th, 12:38am
Catloverkid377148

Shaa half grinned, turned away from Tallon, then straightened her expression. "Of course." she responded smoothly. "For a fee, of course, you understand." she gave Alyeska a little wink. "I think hes taking the bait." she murmured back.

Tallon perked up and was glad he never stopped recording. He took a half step closer to the pair, examining their faces carefully.

#13 Feb 05th, 12:43am
Rev'ika

"If it is reasonable."

Acting was very easy for a Shi'ido.

Alyeska placed some credits on the table to pay, and began to navigate her way out of the crowded establisment.

Acting, unfortanutely, didn't always go hand-in-hand with planning. She could get to the docks, but then would be relying on Kyra's help.

#14 Feb 05th, 12:46am
Catloverkid377148

Kyra followed closely behind her, and Tallon behind her. "You need my help. You can't even speak basic properly, how do you expect to find him without me?" Kyra asked in a low but arrogant voice. "I think I have a right to dictate a price. Unless you had someone else in mind..." Tallon was now intensly curious and recording every word.

#15 Feb 05th, 12:49am
Rev'ika

"No," Alyeska said, sounding suitibly sheepish, "My last partner ... how you say... run off? But contract only worth so much."

"Any ideas?" it was barely a whisper.

#16 Feb 05th, 12:53am
Catloverkid377148

"Oh fine." Kyra said with an audible sigh in her voice. "We'll negotiate."

"We get to the ship, then when he follows us in shut the door and confront him." She whispered back.

Tallon resolved to follow them anywhere they went- even their ship. It was worth it.

((sry had to do something for mum))

Alyeska nodded in silently, leading the way to a small, battered gold freighter and gestured for Kyra to enter first.
#18 Feb 05th, 1:20am
Catloverkid377148

Kyra did so and Tallon skulked out of sight, waiting for Alyeska to enter then he was going to slip on.

"Now we talk price, yes?" Alyeska said as she walked up the ramp into the main hold. (Heading to bed now, so I probably wont reply until tommorow. My mom will kill me if she figures out I'm up.)
#20 Feb 05th, 1:28am
Catloverkid377148

((okay))

"Yes." Kyra agreed, watching Tallon approach and slip on out of the corner of her eyes. "Now we talk price."

"Soon," she muttered to Alyeska.

((bye))

Alyeska discreetly watched Tallon slip onboard, and took a few innocent steps back. Then she flipped a hidden switch. The ramp pulled up and the door sealed closed.

#22 Feb 05th, 5:43am
Catloverkid377148

Kyra turned beaming widely as Tallon looked around panicked, and looked for another route out.

#23 Feb 05th, 11:46am

"Who are you, and what so you think are you doing on my ship?" Alyeska asked hands on hips, although her weapons were in easy reach.

#24 Feb 05th, 11:51am
Catloverkid377148

"I... I..." stammered Tallon, stunned. They had completely had him on!

Kyra grinned a wide smile, and decided not to show she was a Shi'ido. "The datapad." she said, and he held it tighter.

"No!" he said. "This is evidence!"

"And you're on my friends ship. She's in power here, not your bosses. Give it over." Kyra reached over and tugged it out of Tallon's hand before flicking through the contents.

#25 Feb 05th, 11:56am
Rev'ika

Alyeska's lekku twitched in irritation.

"You didn't answer me. Who are you? What do you want? And why were you spying on us, when we were doing a perfectly legitimate business deal?"

#26 Feb 05th, 12:00pm
Catloverkid377148

"I'm Tallon," he said rushed. "I work for the Mandalorians, I'm supposed to find Republic spies or traitors." he said very fast. "And you were talking so low..."

Kyra passed the datapad to ALyeska, frowning as she pointed out their conversation. The kid had got more than half of it recorded without realising- the half in Shi'idese.

Rev'ika

Alyeska frowned, wondering how much trouble that could cause. Supposedly no one spoke Shi'idese except for Shi'ido. Supposedly. Alyeska didn't like the chances though; her luck wasn't exactly stellar.

"Why do you think a bounty on a Rimmer quack who got the Hutts' bodyguard angry is any of your business? Or of any interest to the Mando's? Some of us still have a living to make, you know."

She snuck a cautious glance at Kyra, hoping for some guidance from the older woman.

#28 Feb 05th, 12:11pm
Catloverkid377148

Tallon looked startled still and stammered, unable to answer.

"Bounty hunters are used by the Mando too." Kyra fired at him. "We're not illegal."

((gtg bye))

(See you later)

"I have a contract to fufill. I don't get those creds, bad things happen. I can probably hide out if I fail; I know the right places. But anyone who got int the way and ruined my reputation and work prospects? You better believe there won't be enough Galaxy to hide them from me." Alyeska told him, intent on shaking the kid up a little. For emphasis, she removed her vibro-whip from her belt.

#30 Feb 05th, 12:18pm
Catloverkid377148

It worked. Tallon looked even more started. "Sorry... I'll just go..." he said, turning back to the door and pounding on it.

Kyra looked at Alyeska. "Can we just let him go?" she asked. "I doubt he'll cause us any trouble"

#31 Feb 06th, 12:53pm
Rev'ika

The soldier in Alyeska said no, but the Jedi said yes. The two sides battle it out for a while, but finally she nodded.

"Alright."

#32 Feb 06th, 3:44pm
Catloverkid377148

Kyra let down the ramp and Tallon scampered down it without his datapad, as it was still in Kyra's hand. After the door was shut Kyra turned to Alyeska. "I wouldn't have done that. But maybe he can support that we're bounty hunter and client if we ever use these forms again."

#33 Feb 07th, 12:57pm
Rev'ika

"I doubt I'll have need of this form again, and the ship is on loan for the assingment. But I am sorry if I caused any inconveniance to you." Alyeska told Kira. "Sometimes my role in the war and my role as a Jedi are hard to reconcile, despite the fact that one springs from the other. But returning to my earlier queries..."

Alyeska walked into the galley, returning with two bottles of mistwater, and offering one to Kyra.

#34 Feb 07th, 2:10pm
Catloverkid377148

"I won't use this form again either. I have plenty of forms to choose from." Kyra said. She smiled as she shook her head. "No, maybe it would for any other being, but not a Shi'ido. I can understand that." Kyra accepted the mistwater. "Thank you. And my contact is in the Merchant Quarter. His name is Saren Tamm, but if you want to do covert buisness with him call him 'Mist' "

#35 Feb 07th, 8:32pm
Rev'ika

"I'll probably need to see him. The ...cargo will be difficult to get a hold of, at best. But you said that you were an information specialist?"

#36 Feb 07th, 11:36pm
Catloverkid377148

"Information is my buisness. I am supposed to report on what the Mando are doing and hopefully give us an edge. But we're still losing, no matter how much information I get to them." Kyra sighed and looked sad.

((Revan hasn't taken over the fleet yet btw))

#37 Feb 08th, 11:50am
Rev'ika

('Kay)

"Have you ever heard of Dasala or Reyce Beviin?"

#38 Feb 09th, 5:24am
Catloverkid377148

Kyra thought for a second and shook her head. "No."

#39 Feb 09th, 11:40am
Rev'ika

"One of them, Reyce, managed to infiltrate the fleet. The other, Dasala, executed three Jedi generals. And someone tracked their movements here."

#40 Feb 09th, 8:49pm
Catloverkid377148

Then Kyra remembered. "Oh yes, I remember now. I'm on the lookout for them too, but no sign of them yet. Unless..."

#41 Feb 09th, 9:41pm
Rev'ika

Alyeska titled her head to the side, lekku moving silently in a questioning Twi'lek way that she was unconciously immitating. "Unless?"

#42 Feb 09th, 9:59pm
Catloverkid377148

"I heard someone talking about hiring the best Jedi killer in the buisness. Maybe..." Shaa stopped and bit her lip thoughtfully.

#43 Feb 09th, 10:02pm
Rev'ika

"What are you planning?" Alyeska asked cautiously.

#44 Feb 10th, 5:28am
Catloverkid377148

"Maybe I can trap the Jedi killer. I'll say theres a Jedi I want murdered, who is causing trouble for me. Then when we're in space we could destroy his ship and kill him." Kyra looked at Alyeska, eyes shining.

#45 Feb 10th, 9:38pm
Rev'ika

"It could work," Alyeska agreed, "But will someone have to be the bait?" If so, she had a sinking feeling she knew who.

#46 Feb 11th, 6:55pm
Catloverkid377148

Kyra looked apologetically at Alyeska, all the answer she needed.

#47 Feb 11th, 9:49pm
Rev'ika

Alyeska sighed and skinshifted into a tall female Nediji with grey eyes wearing Jedi robes. One of her lighstabers hung at her belt.

"When do you want to do this?"

#48 Feb 12th, 5:39am
Catloverkid377148

"I'll go now. All you have to do is 'accidently' let yourself be seen vanishing into a ship. Mine is here somewhere." she wondered where she had landed. Oh yes, that was it. "I'll lead him here, where I saw you, and then we can go into space and destroy him." she grimaced. "Sorry for using you this way."

((I think he should bring friends and Shaa should be comprimised and have the Mando hunt her. What do you think?))

#49 Feb 12th, 9:31pm
Rev'ika

"It's okay," Alyeska told her, "You know what they say about a Jedi's life. Sacrifice. Even if the council seems to have forgotten.

With that, she exited the ship.

(Sure. Sorry for all the delays lately. Between algebra tutorials, make up work, French horn sectionals, and mandatory band concerts I haven't had much time.)
