SimomanI think Remy Hadley or "Thirteen" is a very interesting character on House. Part of what makes her so interesting is that she's still so mysterious even though things like her sexual orientation and having Huntington's. Her past is more deeply explored during the Season 5 episode 'Let Them Eat Cake' which followed the hostage situation of 'Last Resort' where she was the guinea pig for the drug testing. Let Them Eat Cake was especially interesting as it dove into what dealing with her mother who had Huntington's was like for Remy growing up. Also I think many House MD fans dismiss her too quickly because she cares for the patient like Cameron does. What a lot of people don't see though is that Cameron is the over-the-top caring type and Remy just wants to make sure they're doing ok and added to that she is much more of a realist than Allison which is partially because she has Huntington's. |

No One Reads Bad FanficsI agree with you there. Way too many people see her walk on the screen and turn away as if she isn't interesting. Yet, there's so much potential there for the show writers and for fanfiction. So many elements and angles that make up who she is (or at least who we see) that can be further explored. That isn't always the case with some characters. On top of the rest, she is gorgeous, especially in "Let Them Eat Cake". |

Paint Me a SymphonyRemy Hadley is amazing. Her mysterious nature, her appearance, her style, her intellect, even her disease, just scream out. She has this sort of aura that either brings people in, or turns them away. I've found that a nice percentage of House viewers just disreagrd her like she is Cameron-lite. It's kind of like another nickname circling around the site. But, like Simoman said, "[Remy] is much more of a realist than Alison" and due to her view on the world (which comes from her past and present dealings with Huntington's) she takes on a completely different angle than Cameron ever did. When it comes to episodes that she's in, I particularly love "Let Them Eat Cake". The insight into her past is great, and it is another one of those times where you find your entire view on an aspect of her life changing. Every new revelation into the life of Remy Hadley leads to changes in the overall look of her. One wonders by the end of the season what'll happen. Will we know everything about this mysterious person? Will she find herself someone special (because that seems to be where the Foreman/Thirteen thing is going)? Will House and Cuddy finally do what mostly everyone has seen coming since episode one of the show? The world will (eventually) know. |
