I'm a 'stay-at-home' mom from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and I graduated from high school two years before Tamora Pierce started publishing the SotL series. When I was a teen (obviously long before this website existed), I wrote thousands of pages of stories and poems. My high school son and middle school daughter inspired me to write again and I've completed several fanfiction stories within the Tortallverse. Kel's adventures really resonate with me, probably because I graduated from West Point and I've been to war, too. I'm currently working on a novel of my own, but I still love to read great stories here."
