BerzerkerprimeTopic: Songs and Swords A thread for the discussion of Elaine Cunningham's novel series about Arilyn Moonblade and Danilo Thann, and any fanfiction relating to them. |

WinterfoxAbout all I can say about Songs and Swords fanfiction is... there's barely any of them. Feh. I'm sick and tired of drow in general and Drizzt-related fanfic in particular. |

BerzerkerprimeBoy do I second that! Too darn many "good-hearted Drow" running around in the Realms these days. I thought they were supposed to be few and far between. Same with Drow with purple eyes.So... got any good Songs and Swords plot bunnies to share? Let's start a workshop or something. Mayhap folks will get the message and do something other than poetry. ^_^ Headmaster Berz. *** Berzerker_prime Headmaster of New Olamn, forum for the Forgotten Realms on the FFN forums network. BerzerkerprimeOkay, this forum needs a kick-start.So, as some of you may or may not have heard, there's a sixth Songs and Swords book in the works (according to a post by EC herself on Candlekeep, it should come out in 2008 or so). The downside is that it will reportedly be the last book in the series. So, here's the topic of conversation; if you were writing the last book of Songs and Swords, what bits of story would you include? What random open-hanging bits of story would you like to see wrapped up? What kind of end would you have all our heroes meet? Discuss. BurningTheMidnightOilSweet. The only problem I'm having is finding the second bloody book in this series!!!! I went to Barnes and Noble... they were out! Oh but they had books 4 & 6. Then I went to Borders they had books 1,3 & 5! I went to the libraries, I had the same problem! Reading the series has turned into the goose chase from the Ninth hell. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the 1st book. I just cannot start Book 3 without reading book 2. I agree. Isn't stated somewhere, that "Drow are seldom seen upon the surface." Didn't Drizzt say SOMETHING like that in one of R.A. Salvatore's novels? I am guilty of writting a fiction with a HALF drow character in it, Drizzt and Co. Don't show up ANYWHERE in it. As I have only read book 1 I think that Danillo and Arilyn should get together, they'd make a great couple. :D Favorite Fan Fiction Quote: Anashra Thrade: "Scared, Thalen?" Thalen Nightshift: "Shitless." Anashra Thrade: "Alright then, let's do this!" |

BerzerkerprimeBook six? Uh, kinda hard for you to have found that, since it isn't even written yet.As for book two, try Amazon. I had to get three and five that way, since I couldn't find them at any local stores. Or you can just keep trying. They're still in print, so book stores still get them in and have them on the shelves every once in a while. And, actually, book two and book three happen concurrently with each other, so you could actually go read book three before reading book two without any confusion at all. As a matter of fact, book three covers a longer time span and consequently starts *before* book two. Very confusing. @_@ Sweet water to you! Headmaster Berz. |
