Topic: Forum Rules - READ ME!!
Hey all! Thanks for actually reading this like a good litte denizen of Waterdeep! These are the rules for the New Olamn forum. Please follow them or Piergeiron have to send the Watch out after you... or maybe Twilight Hall will send some Harpers out for you... or Khelben will turn you into a frog... One of those things.

1. Follow the FFN rules.

2. Please keep topics in their proper threads.

3. Post spoiler warnings for novels - not everyone has read them all yet.

4. There is NOOOOOO... rule four.

5. If speaking to another author about their work, be considerate and offer constructive criticism.

6. If speaking to a reviewer about your work, be understanding of their opinions.

7. No leet speak. It's annoying. Ao is still mad at Milil for making it up and it's something of a touchy subject.

Follow these little rules and we shall all have a nice time of it.

I will do it once and only once as an example. Let it never plague this forum ever again. So let it be written, so let it be done.

The substitution of punctuation marks and numbers for certain letters. In the example above, "/\/" stands in for an n and "4" stands in for an a, and so forth. It's called leet (or |_337 to the fanboys) from the word "elite" because the people who began using it on a regular basis thought it made them more elite net-surfers and chatters. But it's really just very annoying, especially since there are no commonly accepted conventions.

Don't use it here, please. It's really just gibberish.
