Topic: Plot Bunny Adoption Center
Plot Bunnies can attack any time, any place! And they seldom come in single units. Oh no! One plot bunny attracts another and soon they're breeding!

Has your vision of the Realms been invaded by these terrible monsters with a threat rating of 32? Get rid of them here! No time? Idea not working out for you, but you think someone else could do something good with it? Just plain wondering if your brain is being sucked up by an Illithid? Place a bunny in a hutch and put it up for adoption!

General rules for the Plot Bunny Adoption Center:

1. By placing a plot bunny in a hutch, you agree not to whine that it was your idea when someone else posts a story about it.

2. There will be no feeding the plot bunnies spam. This includes heckling as to their worth for adoption. It's easier to see the plot bunnies without other stuff in the way.

3. All plot bunnies will be in accordance with FFN rules pertaining to appropriateness. That means no X-rated plot bunnies! Keep them modest.

The Plot Bunny Adoption Center will accept bunnies for the following reasons:

1. Their victim doesn't have the time to write the story.

2. Their victim believes the bunny to be worthwhile, but does not feel that they get along, creatively.

3. The victim has been attacked by the rare chaotic good plot bunny and would like to see this sub-species procreate and therefor challenges the community at large to breed more of the same bunny.

4. General zanniness.

Note: It is a good practice for plot bunny adoptors to thank the forum user who surrendered the plot bunny for adoption in a note at the beginning of their story.

Thank you for visiting the Plot Bunny Adoption Center at New Olamn.

Sweet water to you!

It just fanlingo for plot idea, usually used to refer to one that wouldn't let go. The KotOR fandom calls them "plot gizkas." I don't remember if there's a specific term for LOTR.

Typically, they seem to be called Nuzgúl in the LotR fandom, after someone's typo on the word Nazgúl. At least, that's what they're called over at Henneth Annún Story Archive, which is fairly prolific.

why does the compound word 'plot bunny' make me want to start laughing? I don't know why, it just does.

Well, not sure if this fits, but I've always thought the Highlander series and the Forgotten Realms do work together very well in a story. Unfortunatly, there's not enough of them.
