So what do you think are some of the strangest pairing that you've seen?

I've been going through working on the archive so I've seen a lot of strange ones...I had forgotten that there were a few Daine/Rikash ones out there...I mean...I love Rikash, he's awesome....but I kind of always figured that that whole different species thing would get in the way...apparently not though......

Pretty much my thoughts...I skimmed it briefly...I couldn't even find an explanation for why they were in the same place....so many questions...

I can beat you. The strangest I've ever found was Daine/Brokefang. I really wish I was joking x.x I don't know if it's still on here... if it is, sylvanius, you'll probably find it digging through the archives. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a warning on it, so be careful *twitch*

Wellp, I just found a Numair/Gainel. I'd already found of Daine/Gainel before, but this is much weirder. Don't know how it ranks compaired to the others on this forum though...

I've found one pairing Numair with himself before, when Arram first learned to make simulacra... That was actually quite well written, but incredibly weird to read...

Skysong with just about anyone... I swear I saw one that was acording to the summary Skysong paired with Cloud. Now if those two are teamed up for comedy, I think I'd be rolling in my chair, but ... Yeah. Also, of Protectot of the Small Keladry and Walden of Cavall. Somehow the thought just doesn't work in my mind.

Rakish and Daine have a few very nice buddy scenes I think. . . And if you forget the fact that he's a Stormwing they might actually have been interesting together. Right now I am pondering something: Did the Stomrwings have arms? It didn't sound like they did last time I read Realm of the Gods.

Nope, they don't. They have wings instead. Although I seem to recall some of them carry weapons... I assume in their feet? Hm.

Although, I don't recall any of them carrying weapons. Their wings are razor sharp, and they have magic to boot. Maybe you're thinking of those giant ape-thingies with bat wings? I know they carry weapons.

When I read a lot of the time I have a sort of mental movie going, trying to visually imagine everything. Now I am trying re-imagine Rikash with no arms, since I kept over looking that fact for so long.

I don't know, sky - I know they never used them, but I'm sure I remember near the end of RotG when Barzha's flock gather ready to join the war I think it says some of them were carrying other weapons as well? Lemme go check...

Yeah, here we go, as they leave the Dragonlands: "When the dragons emerged in clear, very cold air, Barzha, Hebakh, Rikash and their followers awaited them. All of the immortals were armed." Doesn't say what they're armed with, or how they're carrying them, though.

Oh yeah! I remember that. Hunh, I always thought by "armed" they meant armor...maybe I'm wrong though. It's actually quite likely.

The Stormwings carried bombs - I assume in their feet! - in the Battle of Legann. I never thought about them carrying anything else though, I imagine it would be a little hard to manoeuver!

Here we go: "Round clay pots clutched in their talons, they were intent on the watchtower and its occupants. Daine recognized the bombs: a spell-word from everyone and the pots would explode, showering everyone with liquid fire." Stuff they can drop on people and not worry too much about the accuracy then!

that would make sense...I never pictured them with arms...it just looks too odd in my head o_0
