Alrighty... so I know this is going to sound like I'm a complete newb, but either way. I had to express this with someone. xD Haha, so, when I first started reading Tamora Pierce, the only one I read was Wild Magic. So I read the rest of the Immortals series and I was like COOLIO! I knew she'd written other series but I hadn't wanted to read them because I was prefectly satisfied with lil' Daine and Numair. But then my friend was like, "Oh hey did you know Alanna and Jon were together in this one series about Alanna?" and I was like "NO WAY!" So... I started reading the Song of the Lioness and got hooked.

Haha, I have nobody to share this with, so I'm sharing it with you guys... just finished Lioness Rampant and I am IN LOVE with George Cooper. xD Haha, and Thayet too but not in the same way. I cred when Thom died, even if he was a cocky arrogant bastard who annoyed the crap out of me 'cause he brought Roger back. And then... when Faithful got crushed... heartbroken. Just heartbroken. Cried some more. Haha, but the ENDING WAS SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D Haha, just wanted to share that with y'all.

You should read the "Beka Cooper" series, you'll see a familire character. B-) Faithful dieing made me extremly sad when I first read it too, by the way, but the ending sort of made up for the poor fuzzy. (I am a cat person and thus love Faithful as more than some of the other characters.) Between George and Jon I'm really glad Alanna ended up with George, it just seems like they'd have a lot more fun.

I read "Song of the Lioness", "Immortals" and "Protector of the Small" just about back to back. After that I just, for some odd reason, seemed to think Tortall was just over. Than I found out about the "Beka Cooper" novels and did a similar, very excited search for them.

Don't worry about "a newb" because everybody does at some point. (Like my lack of noting Stormwings had no arms)
