Topic: Rules

There isn't very much of these and they are quite simple, so hopefully we shouldn't have too much trouble with this. Occasionally, I may give you a few points to work on if your characters need more consideration, but I wouldn't be doing that very often unless there are some serious and obvious things that need to be fixed. If I happen to be too cruel while I do so, I'm extremely sorry! ^^

1. There are probably going to be people with varied writing styles and standards in this forum, so please try not to mind or critisize people if you dislike it. Some people simply join forums to improve on their writing anyway, so we should try to help them in any way we can instead. This also includes me, since my writing is terrible.

2. Again, we are all probably at different ages, so could we try to stick with a T rating please? As unbelievable as it is, there are still innocent minds out there, so let's not be responsible for slaughtering them.

3. As I mentioned before, the whole point of this is to have fun! As long as people are considerate to others, we should all be able to enjoy ourselves.

4. In most forums, there is usually the problem of having roleplayers jumping into a situation and out again during the course of the story without notice. If people are not going to be around for a while, please could you inform us beforehand? This way, characters can round off their disappearance for a while without disturbing the course of the story. We should also try to involve new members into this rather than ignoring them completely as most characters do, which causes the afore-mentioned members to drift away.

5. Could we try to avoid overpowering ourselves please? It's just as well that people would make perfect characters, but, to tell the truth, the more normal they are, the more flexibly you can twist their history, lives and the way they develop.

6. Finally, let's just enjoy ourselves with the use of our own characters. Tiny characteristics of another character may be allowed rarely, such as a smile, a curious stare and so on, but, otherwise, could we all just continue to roleplay without controlling other people's actions? Thank you.

I have a few rules of my own:

1. no one writes terribly, just differently

2.NO GOD MODDING I can't stress this enough

3.you can have awesome chars as long as they can die.

4. no killing off other peoples chars without permission

5. swearing ticks me off so i will spam you if you do.

Thankyou for reading the Ninja rule book.

Ok just to back up the Admin on this most of your "personal rules" were covered in the Main Rules above ^^.

I agree to all of the rules. It's just wrong if you're stealing a person's character away!

true. I think i'm going to migrate my char from the other forum.

I have a tendency to impulsively make a ton of characters, so a limit would be good info for me so I can use my BEST character ideas only and hold back on the others.

#8 Apr 14th 2009, 2:34pm
Thaurbrethil

Well there is no offical limit but seriously the rest of us will tell you if you go to far with crazy characters so I wouldn't worry about it.

Also I forgot to mention before I agree to all rules.

You know, Whiteweaver, your writing isn't that bad. It's probably better than mine, so don't worry about it. And yes, I agree with the rules. A T rating means no massive blood and gore, right?

#10 Apr 15th 2009, 6:25am
Thaurbrethil

Well mainly for RPs ya just avoid swearing, sexual content and things like drug use but apart from that the fighting is generally fantasy style (and monsters fade when defeated) so that isn't to much of a problem I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong).

T-rating is the norm for forums, albeit I've found some that have broken that rule.

As long as no one steals my characters I agree to all of the rules.

#12 Apr 15th 2009, 9:15am
OROC5002

Ok. I don't steal (except in Fallout and Oblivion, in which I steal often).

1. Hooray for theiving(in games)

2.The most i've pushed the T rating was saying that a few bones broke which does happen in cartoons all the time.

I tend to put one or two curse-words into one or two posts for every eighty or so, and as for violence... I've had a character sprain her knee, but nothing really worse than that.

And yes, my characters can act like Lara Croft; but have you seen my profile pic?!

#15 Apr 16th 2009, 6:38pm
Thaurbrethil

Well to keep with T just censor them either just change the words to symbols (Like Barret early in the game) or if just a stream of curses you just say "He cursed loudly" or something similer.

done and done.

Got it, besides, I just noticed that I've been putting 'blast it' or 'curse it' in instead of other stuff.

Sorry Flying ninja, but he's a baddie that's going to be sticking around for a while. I can't let you kill him.

Hey, sorry to have to tell you this, but the Admin is likely not showing up for awhile, so you'll be waiting some time for character approval.

Thought so. I actually need to make a new file cause I ended up killing everyone in Megaton City.

I'm a hero, so they all give me stuff there each day. I killed Burke, let the ghouls rule the tower, and joined the Regulators. My Karma is like maxed out good. Yet I'm barely a quarter through the main story, have done hardly any quests compared to those out there, and have explored about half of the map. The game is so huge it's just amazing.

#34 May 11th 2009, 5:26pm
-Jirrue The Six Tailed Dragon-

Which is why it's a lot of fun. It's like the real world only in apocalypse mode and it's huge to explore.

Yeah, I'm making a fanfic about it.

umm, hi, I read through the rules, and I'm thinking about joining, cause there aren't very many other final fantasy role plays "for some strange reason," so I just thought I would say hi.
