he's also not a weak character, but nor is he one of the strongest. he's also very young, so he has room to grow. and he's a good looking guy too ^^ the anime doesn't do his character justice at all like the manga does. i loves you akira! *squeeze*

im brand-new to this particular fandom, having only just bought the box set at walmart a few days ago (im workin on the 2nd disk right now), but i hafta say, it won me over pretty easily hehe its like a weird mix of Rurouni Kenshin and Yu-Gi-Oh! (my fave show of all time) :D as for my fave chars... ooh, tough choice. well, heres a list out of who i know lol

Kyoshiro: first off, hes voiced by my fave VA (Dan Green ^_^ double-duty as the two main chars here too) and rather like a pervy version of Yugi (my absolute fave ever). shy, sweet, compassionate, loyal, courageous... (trust me, this is a LONG list XD) yet even more powerful than his "darkness." he just shows it less ^_~ wish hed show up again tho *sigh*

Kyo: heh... to be embarrassingly honest, he kinda scared me at first XD rather reminded me of Yami in his "sadistically insane" days back in the Japanese YGOs first season, when hed just been released from the Puzzle. but, like him, hes... kinda grown on me ^_^ theres a lot goin on underneath that "I'll kill you, and have fun doing it" attitude of his. hes got a heart, despite the legends. its just... a very complicated one

Benitora: lol hes hilarious... kinda reminds me of Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi. same kinda cheerful expression that hides one serious fighter hehe his "attachment" to Yuya is sweet too :D even tho she kinda sees him as a dope lol

Yuya: speakin of who, shes pretty cool in her own right. a lil dense (like Kyo says, "Woman, you are so blind") but i think shell grow outta that. nice to see shes still thinkin about Kyoshiro while Kyos hangin around, tho i think shes gonna fall for the latter eventually *shrugs*

Saizo: he just makes me grin lol hes just so serious, i can see why Yukimura has such fun poking fun at him

Yukimura: i just love tryin to figure this guy out lol his allegiances/plans are about as clear as mud (to me anyway XD there might be others who can discern such things, but im a fairly naive creature who likes to only think the best of people), but hes pretty cool. like a Yin-Yang all on his own, fun-loving and incredibly dangerous

Aw, and i really like Hotaru aswell, he's just so funily (don't know if that's a word?) stupid and i love that. In the animes, is it only me that thinks tha Hotarus voice actor has a very sweet voice?

I guess the character I like most is Akira. He's a nicely developed character. I like Kyo, he's cool and hot for a bad-**. Hotaru is a cooly unpredictable character and Shinrei is just too handsome to be ignored. And no one could hate Yukimura, as the manga said, ne?

Though I don't know that much about Hishigi, I know for a fact that he's one of the elders and he's really strong. Like that tagbattle where he was with Fubuki and they were challenging Yuan and Hotaru.

Muramasa is really, really cool. Being so kind and yet a dangerous foe. Too bad that he died from that illness that is actually killing all but the true Mibu's, which Hishigi is trying to find a cure for. Muramasa has to be one of my most favorite characters throughout the entire SDK.

Hotaru is funny and clueless. Which makes him a kind of well liked guy. Though this guy is dangerous when he uses his war paint that he puts on his face, and after that it's going against a roaring flame. Hotaru was one of my favorites when I first started on SDK.

Finally my most favorite is Tokito. Dressing up as a boy, when she's really a girl. Tokito kicks **, using the power of moon and time. Being wild as a boy, but yet as a girl she is quite composed, it's really cool to see and think about. Her attitude is kind of like mine, so I guess that's why I like her so much, but overall she's my most favorite character throughout the entire SDK, and that won't change anytime soon.

SHINREI! Please stop laughing. I am serious, despite my main fic theme. He just so pwetty! 'w' and he's kinda innocent and dense, like a little kid. And not that many people like him...

HOTARU! No, these two are not mutually exclusive... even though I hated this guy until vol. 16. Then I figured he was cool, and in vol. 21 I loved him! Shinny drove me nuts in that one.

AKIRA! Hate to say it, but I see a lot of myself in him... the good and the bad. 'Cause he can be sweet and innocent (uh.. okay, I can't) but he can also be cold as ice, and totally loose it. Hotheaded red heads indeed! ('V' for victory!)

SASUKE! Another chara I relate to. Can be a devious little (BEEP), loves his friends. But, like Akira and Shinny, he so innocent it makes me laugh! Me and my dirty mind.

YUKIMURA! I agree with everyone else who said this: how can you not love him? Easily one of the sexiest characters out there. He too has a devious mind, that is impenetrable. Means you can't get in.

SO! If you only watch the anime, I can guarantee you will not get the full enjoyment from these charas, so please switch to manga! BTW, does anyone know if (SORTA SPOILER)Fubuki really stabs Shinrei? 'Cuz I found a piccy, and I figure there's no point hating someone for life unless it is true.

Stabs him? Fubuki does one hell of a lot more than stab him. But don't hate Fubuki. He doesn't deserve to be hated.

And a lot of people do like Shinrei, by the way. In the final popularity poll, Shinrei scored third! (First: Kyo, second: Yuya, etc.)

I call Fubuki "Fun-Fun" simply because that's so funny. I found that in a little comic where Yuan is considering his nickname, Yun-Yun, and thinking about what that would mean for the rest of the Taishirou. [E.g. Hishigi = Hin-Hin, Tokito = Ton-Ton.] But "Fun-Fun" is amusing because the word 'fun' in Japanese is a term used to describe animal droppings... :snigger:
