Topic: Manga epilogue discussion with SPOILERS
Hi! Okay here's something that's been eating me for a while. If you read the manga epilogue, you would know that there's someone who leaves flowers at Rosette's grave every year. Who do you think it is? The candidates are:

1-Chrno (gee, I hope so! But he looked really bad when he came back to Rosette right before she died... missing an arm and with those bandages on his head..he didn't lose his horns again, did he?)

2-Remington (He could have lived for 70 more years...who knows?)

3-Sheda (don't know her reasons, but it's possible)

Please write what you think, or know!

I haven't read the manga in a few months, so if I'm wrong on anything please correct me. I don't believe that it's Chrno because I'm pretty sure he didn't have any horns when he meets up with Rosette (or at least it looked like he didn't have 'em, 'cause then he would've healed up his injuries), so I'm thinking he dies with her (or at least I HOPE so mainly because the idea of him living on while Rosette is dead is SO depressing to my poor little heart!)

I'd always assumed it was Sheda only because she was there at the end, but who knows...

Cheers,

Tails

Well. yeah. It did seem as if he'd lost his horns. But I also thought that maybe after Pandemonium's death, the healing process slowed down (even if you have the horns), because all the demons are connected to the Pandemonium somehow..

I think it was chrono the only reasons he had those badages was the fight with aion and those weird creature remember when aion said the geas are still active chrono was fighting the geas and that does a lot of damage .ohh yeay back to the topic I think it was chrono because he loved rosette and he would wait forever for her to return so. Yeah I think it was chrono

Chrono had his horns it's just that he was in his human adult form and I think it was chrono even if it sounds depressing. Why the hell would shader put flowers on rosettes grave when she did not even know rosette that well. But chrono knew her so he probaly is walking the earth waiting for rosette.

I'm glad you think it's Chrno! I think so too!(All we need now is a GOOD Rosette resurrection fic!^-^) But I still wonder what took him 8 years to come back, anyone have any ideas? I know he was probably badly injured, but still.

It took him eight years because he was battling his brother he would have come back sooner if he was not fighting his brother I hope I'm right at least.

I think it's Remington, afterall, he had legions, so he would live for a while, maybe Elder's still somehow alive and is able to sustain him? I know... really unlikely...

remmington would not have done that rosette was like a pon in a chess game to him I think it was chrono

Huh? What? Pon? Pawn? *goes swirly eyed like in anime* I guess my mind is too simple... XD lol, At the moment, I really don't know what to think... Chrno's a definite possibility but he would've been happier, peacefully dead with Rosette. I mean, what would be the point to living if she was not there? What would he do? Pandemonium self-destructed, the Magdalan Order declared him as dead... Where would he go?

to magdalen's tomb and wait for rosette to come back hopefully

Why couldn't Shader have been the one to place the flowers on Rosette's grave? Obviously she knew where Rosette was buried, and while she did not know her, what Rosette did was selfless, and Shader seemed to respect her.

Personally: I think that Chrono died after meeting back up with Rosette. Remember Azmaria's video, and how she mentions that the video is about the two people they lost? Chrono told Rosette that home was whereever she was. I just don't think that he could live without her (not that I don't think that he literally couldn't have. Two of the stories I'm currently writing are post manga with Chrono still alive. I just don't think that he would have wanted to live without her).

As for why Chrono was missing his arm, eye, ear, and just generally wearing a ton of bandages: there probably wasn't any legion left to heal himself. All of the legion turned against the demons when the geas was activated. It was probably a miracle that he was in as good of shape as he was considering his battle with Aion (which probably did not last that long. Without his sword and the souls of his contractors, he would have had no eay to heal himself and get power. Chrono was at least able to get power from the Astral Lines. Aion even makes the comment of "This is how you must have felt when Mary died" {to paraphrase] so he was more then likely running off of minimal energy.)

I also don't think that it could be Remington. He was looking very beat up by the end of the manga, and judging by that, he may have only had a few more years himself. The legion seemed to be eating away at him which may have been the reason that Elder was so worried about activating more in volume...5?

I don't think it was Chrno that left flowers. I like to assume that they passed away together. ^_^ And given that you see Shader at the end of the manga with Florette (Fiore) I kinda think that's what happened since why would Shader leave flowers just for Rosette when she didn't really know her? She knew Chrno though and I think she's kindhearted enough to pay tribute to her friend.

I personally think it might have been Florette and Shader that left the flowers. She revived before Satella did and they obviously knew the location of the grave. ^_^

Remember this Well.... I hate when people think it was not chrono who left the flowers on the grave... i think it was chrono because the would have showed chronos grave as well.... don't you think

Not necessarily. It seems to be pretty canon that the demons turn into ash when they die. If Chrono did die, than there is a very real chance that he just turned into dust.

If he did, than maybe Joshua, Az and the others just scooped him up and put him in the casket with Rosette and left it at that. Remember: Chrono was supposed to have died in 1924 according to the Magdalene Order's records. If there was a gravestone for him, it was probably in New York with the year 1924 on it. Remington would have had to do some serious explaining as to why a guy that he was supposed to have killed eight years prior was still alive in 1932.

I think the Magdalene order would have covered up his being affilated with them period. Adding his name to Rosette's grave (assuming they died together) or burying him on sacred ground would have practically been saying "Hey, look we affilated with a devil"

Chrno was written off as dead in 1924 after he didn't return from the confrontation with Aion. Since he didn't return The Order probably assumed he was dead. He'd later return to be with Rosette in her final moments where it's assumed that they both passed away together.

Why would he want to live longer than her? He shared her soul..I think it would be hard to move on alone after something like that.

Sorry for the double post but I just realized that I worded my previous post to where it sounded like I contradicted myself. Let me clarify..lol:

I think if anything his name would be omitted from the headstone just as a cover since the Order's records show he died earlier. (and why would a religious order admit to having worked with a devil? blasphemy and all that)

Those that were close to Rosette and Chrno would know the truth though and I think that would be good enough for them. ^_^ I hate the thought of him living on without Rosette. It's too sad. ;_;

Yeah, it's a bazillion times better than the anime in my opinion XD At first I thought it was Az's grandson but then I realized that he was the one who said the thing about the flowers in the first place. XD

So yeah, I think it's Shader and Fiore, they have met Rosette before after all, and Shader seemed to like her. I don't like to think that it's Chrono because I would rather that they died together.

remember this well: i hate when ppl hate on other people just because they dont agree with your opinions.

there are so many possibilities as to who might've left the flowers. Personally, I would like to believe it was Chrno but then later on, I believe it is Fiore and Shader. Shader said "...are you satisfied Fiore...?" That line caught my attention; satisfied about wat? And they knew where the grave was. Shader really isnt all that of a evil villain; like Chrno, I think she also has a heart to care for others.

Buh that's what i think.

Hi all.

I know I'm joining you a little late, but I have just been thinking: Chrono must have died, because Azmaria has the contractor-clock - that he brougt with him when he left Rosette.

At least I to hope, that he died with her - or that she will live again with him.
