i, uh, can't really see Janaff/Lucia...weird...

yeah...that's what i saw from just looking/reading the text...not by supports. the only support thing that corrupted me was Rhys/Mia. it reminds me of Lute/Artur. ^_^

I actually, am a fan first and foremost (whee, alliteration!) of Titania/Rhys. I started imagining it in the first scene where you meet Rhys, when they're talking and you hear that kinda sappy music. Plus, I see them as both the same age and on about the same maturity level, so that works out nicely. Besides, their skills compliment each other: Titania mows down all opponents, and Rhys patches her up afterwards. :)

I also like Mia/Boyd. I'm not sure when I started to be a fan of this one. I think it was on the chapter where you have to defend that old castle in Gallia (BTW, if for some reason you don't want any help whatsoever on this game, you might want to skip this paragraph). I had Ike, Boyd, and Mia holding the left entrance: two would stand there until one of them got injured, at which point the injured one would go and get healed while the third took his/her place. Aanyway, I noticed then how they seem to go together in some ways. Their personalities seem to have that same sort of... bounciness to them, and as with Titania and Rhys, their weapon choices are compatible. Boyd gets attacked by a sword-weilder, and Mia comes over to take care of said opponent while Boyd takes on the lance (or extremely foolish axe) that attacked her.

I am somewhat fond of Soren/Ilyana for some reason. I don't know, they just seem kind of cute together: the pessimistic, disillusioned young man in the dark robes and the quiet, cutesy "nice girl" in the extremely abbreviated pastel outfit (which at once horrifies and amuses me). I'm afraid the part of me that likes that, though, usually gets drowned out by Ike/Soren. Anything to avoid Ike/Elincia! Except Ike/Titania, which I don't like. I won't say why because I wouldn't want to ruin it for those who may actually enjoy that pairing.

Ike/Elincia is kinda like Eliwood/Ninian, if you think about it...obvious, but for some reason i like it. i no-no why...i guess i'ts because no one really matches up with Klondike Ike (nickname for Ike)

lol, how are they so freaky? If you think about them, they make perfect sense. These are couples who would be happy together (with the possible exception of anyone who chose to become involved with Soren, but then this is fanfiction, where anything can happen). I've never played any FE games but PoR (don't have a gameboy :( ) so I don't really know what you're talking about with Eliwood/Ninian, but I really don't agree with Ike/Titania, so we're going to have to agree to disagree on that one.

well, freakazoid doesn't mean freaky. it just means that they aren't common pairings.

the only problem with Ike/Titainia is that i don't think they can get married...

i also kinda like Geoffery/Elincia.

Oh, you said Ike/Elincia. Yeah, it makes sense, but I really hate Elincia. I just do. She's spineless, unoriginal, and a total Mary-Sue. As for Ike/Titania, I just see her as too mature for him. Not that Ike is immature, it's just that Titania is much further along developmentally (if that's even a word).

oops...did i give a spoiler? as for Elincia...she is not really a Mary-Sue. she's more like a "sweetie-pie" character. i no-no like Elincia either, but i can kinda see it obvious...i think that Titainia may be more of a Mary-Sue than Elincia.

actually, Titainia loves Greil. i am serious. she admits that she was in love with Greil in the rank A Ike/Titainia support. oops...that's another spoiler, isn't it?

Oh, crap. She does? Stupid gamewriters, giving definite answers when all I wanted was hints. Well, um... it can still work! I swear to God it can! And don't worry about Geoffrey, I was already aware that he was coming. I'd have to, or he'd probably die on that chapter where you're supposed to keep him alive so you can get him.

And yes, Elincia is definitely a Mary-Sue. On the one hand, she's perfectly nice and polite, very beautiful -- everything you would want in a princess. On the other, she she just so happens to know how to cook, clean, fence, ride, and do all sorts of useful but unladylike things. Also, I was not in any way convinced by the explanation for why no one apparently knew she existed. If Duke Renning was truly as valiant as he is described to be, he would have no problems with giving up his place in the succession for his niece. Besides, what exactly were they planning on doing? Keeping her hidden forever? She's the rightful heir to the Crimean throne, and someday she would have had to inherit it. What exactly were they planning on doing on that day? A princess no one knew existed was bound to cause more turmoil than a princess whose birth was announced throughout the land. Besides, now very few of her citizens are going to believe she's really the princess and she's going to have a crapload of difficulty solidifying her reign. It's an extremely poorly thought out past, and looks to me more like an excuse to have a "secret princess" (whom everyone in the world seems to know about) than anything else. I just can't see experienced politicians creating that kind of mess for the future ruler of their kingdom.

As for Titania, there's a difference between a strong female character and a Mary-Sue. I kind of see her as a lot like Impa from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You wouldn't call Impa a Mary-Sue, would you?

BTW, do you know what a Mary-Sue is? it's a really tough person who falls for the "bishii" guys. besides, most princesses learned how to cook, clean, etc. at a young age.

actually, Duke Renning would not want to step down in his position for Elinicia. at that time period, which is pretty much the medival time, everything was about honor. the duke would want all the honor he could get. he would never step down. that would mean losing all the honor. he would technically be considered a wimp. if he died protecting his kingdom, that's just going to earn him more honor. you can only assume that Elincia wants honor too, right?

who's Impa? and...Titainia is more of a hard-core fighter too, and Elinicia is seriously weak. she does become a unit on the battlefield later, but her attacks are incredibly wimpy, and she is a healer on her grandmother's peagasus. she has a royal sword of Crimea, but they do about...0-8 damage per hit.

I do know what a Mary-Sue is, and that isn't it. A Mary-Sue is a character who is too perfect to be plausible or even tolerable. Besides, this story doesn't exactly take place in medieval times as they were known on earth; otherwise, Titania wouldn't be a Paladin, Mia wouldn't be a myrmidon -- basically, there would be no female warriors in the entire game. Oh, and Elincia wouldn't be able to inherit anyway, so the throne would go to Duke Renning anyway and they'd have no need to lock her up. Therefore, I don't believe it's necessarily true that Duke Renning would be going after honor and power. Anyway, even if he were he would have no legal claim to the throne unless something were to befall Princess Elincia herself. The threat would therefore be assassination, not civil war as the Princess claims when she explains her history.

As for Princess Elincia being weak in battle, that actually supports her identity as a Mary-Sue. Mary-Sues have a certain penchant for falling helplessly into the hero's arms; it's actually part of what makes them so irritating. As for Titania being a hard-core fighter, well, she was sort of Greil's student for a while there, wasn't she? She would be awesome. Anyway, the impression I got is that she worked hard for her military prowess. A gal's allowed to rock at something she's worked for all her life.

And Impa, well... you would definitely have to play the game to understand Impa. She and Titania aren't exactly alike, but they're both strong female characters who can definitely take care of themselves as much as anyone can be expected to.

female? well, females could have snuck off! does that mean that Mia, Nephenee, Mist, and all the other girls are Mary-Sues?

besides, clerics aren't techinically Mary-Sues. Elincia just happens to have a peagasus. in fact, Mist promoted as a Valkyrie is just about the same as Elincia, but a bit stronger!

actually, Titainia becomes one of your weakest units late in the game. she's cool, and she can dodge anything, but even with a silver axe, she can't kill anything...her max attack is 17...

as for Impa, i can only conclude she is in every LoZ game? is she fat?

I don't know where you made the jump to making all female characters in the game Mary-Sues, but yeah, let's forget this argument. Neither one of us is going to change the other's mind. Oh, and as for Impa, no, she's only in OoT as far as I'm aware, and she's not fat.

wait, what pairing are you talking about that there's a fanfic for? Titania/Rhys? If so, then I wrote that fanfic. :) Actually, I'm not really all that proud of it anymore. Rhys is out of character and the ending sucks. :P

Oscar/Tanith. I get the feeling I'm the only one that likes Tanith at all. And some people pair Oscar with Keiran....blargh...

I have more, but those are my favorites. I can usually tolerate any het pairing (except for Ike/Elincia, because it was frigging SPOONFED to us all). Sorry, but I never jumped on the shonen-ai bandwagon.
