Topic: Why are there no Jake/Trixie stories?!

When I first read at the character profiles for the show, I immediately figured that Jake/Trixie was the favorite pairing for the fans. But when I came to FF.net's AD:JL section, I couldn't find a single fanfic featuring the pairing! A few months later (half a year, maybe), I STILL can't find a single Jake/Trixie fanfic! Instead, about all the romance goes to (ugh) Jake/Rose and/or Trixie/Spud.

What is up with that?!

People, this show is on the Disney Channel. Jake is the protagonist. Trixie is his best friend. Shouldn't you people know by now that the protagonist of a Disney Channel Original Series is always likely to end up with his best friend of the opposite gender and not the Mary-Sue he/she has a crush on in the first and second seasons? Adding to that, in this particular show, the Mary-Sue, Rose, also has the identity of a villain. A FRIGGIN' VILLAIN! And people keep pairing Jake up with HER?!

Seriously, somebody needs to write a Jake/Trixie story and remind everybody that the main character hooking up with somebody who is not his best opposite-gender friend is NOT how things work in cartoons like "American Dragon: Jake Long". And if there actually IS a Jake/Trixie story here, somebody please link it to me!

Wow, THANK YOU. I was looking at forums wondering who was gonna sue Disney for DRASTICALLY changing the artwork recently, but this is something that's been bugging me, too.

Jake/Trixie is actually pretty cute. Sometimes the show tends to lean to Spud/Trixie, but ah, something different's (and especially underrated) always good. I was thinking about writing one, but I don't know... partially right now, I'm trying to abuse my DDR mood... but knowing I'm not the only one looking for J/T fanfics is assuring, though. I have seen one piece of fanart a long while back, but no fanfics...

... also... going off topic about the new episodes on June 10th and later, if anyone still exists here... SOMEONE HELP ME! I swear, even I could animate better than that... if you look at how the dragons are animated, it looks like all they're trying to do is slack off with straight lines. I LOVED the older animation... are there any big AD:JL forums out on the Internet? I wonder... if there's not, it's probably too late...

Thank you for making this topic,because I was just starting to begin that nobody liked Jake/Trixie ,but I do.I think I might make a fanfic up on the 2 ,and yes at the end two best friends end up with each other.

Yeah, but how obvious is Jake/Trixie? Has there ever been a single moment in the show when Trixie or Jake had feelings for the other. (Pity doesn't count!) How many Jake/Rose moments are there? TONS! Jake/Rose is very, VERY obvious! But I was nice enough to all you Jake/Trixie shippers to include a very small Jake/Trixie moment in my fanfic (Next chapter!) until Jake runs after my villainous OC who pretends to like him.

Well, that's the point. I mean, Jake/Rose is everywhere in the show... not as much of a need for fanfics, yanno? ^^;

Underrated pairings ftw. But to each their own. :]

Jake is cute and nice! Sensitive & kind too! Sweet! Likes him!

Trixie is like Jake, but it's more Trixie/Spud from what the show hints kind of.

They're like Harry, Ron, & Hermione. I don't like Rose/Jake, it should be someone like Jake.
