No that can't be it Dawn Star and Silk Fox wanted to save their fathers.

I dont know about Dawn Star, but Sun Lian wanted to save her father, saw it was impossible and accepted it? As future empress, I'm sure she was thinking in favor for the people, and even though it was painful for her, she would see to the safety of them.

Now, I'm not sure about this one, but didn't the evil emperor order that all of them were to be killed the first time they came to the palace? Or was it just all but Sun Lian?

I think that he said "Kill them!" but the Lotus Assassins didn't attack Silk Fox, they ignored her, maybe because her father didn't want to hurt her.

He's not the father of year, but i think that he cared for his daughter.

The scene (as i remember it) it's like this:

"Kill them!" - Sun Hai

"I won't let you disgrace the empire!" - Sun Lian.

"Enough!" - Sun Hai.

(All the followers pass out and the PC goes after Sun Hai)
