Topic: CHANGES
THE FUNK HAS BEEN CHANGED

-----for all numbers AFTER 200.

*I really don’t like doing this, but it seems to be the best way to please as many people as quickly as possible. If you have any problems with the changes, or any suggestions, please let me know.

NEW SORTING METHODS:

The order a fic updates will now be determined by the number of requests to continue, followed by the FIRST requesting date. As of right now, all fics currently on the list are marked as 2/6/06, but follow the original order when there are multiple fics with the same number of people requesting.

NEW FICS/FICS WITH ONE REQUESTOR:

These are going to be put on a separate list, which I will pull from at random times, but in the order they would appear on the list. This is so that new fics do get completed, and not lost. These fics will also still remain on the list in order, so that, if I get down to one-person requests, they will still be completed as if part of the new sorting system.

BUMPING FICS UP/DOWN THE LIST:

A fic can move up or down the list depending upon when/if a new request to continue comes in – either for that fic or another fic. I will update the list once a week to keep you up to date on where your request stands. At the current time, I’ll be trying to update the list every THURSDAY, if possible.

SPREADING THE WORD:

Because new requests are needed to bump a fic up, you need to spread the word to get your fic up there. As friends, roommates, family, coworkers – whomever – to read the fic and request more.

New fics, unless requested anonymously on ff.net, will be posted solely on LiveJournal (LJ).

This does, however, put fics posted solely on LJ at a disadvantage unless they are posted to a community. If you’d like your fic posted to an LJ community, please leave a comment telling me where you’d like it posted to, and I’ll do my best to join and post to the community. I don’t mind crossposting, just let me know where.

POSTING FICS:

As you probably realize, I post my fics in several places. I’m hoping to, eventually, post my fics solely on LJ, with the exception of fics not part of the funk. This being said, I ask that, if you’d like to post a link to a fic, please use the LJ link, and not the ff.net or mediaminer link. Please do NOT post the fic yourself without asking first. I’m generally pretty open – I’ll let you. Just please, if it’s not a direct link ask first.

UPDATES:

Don’t have an LJ account to keep up with all this stuff? That’s ok! You can post comments (and requests) anonymously, and – so long as there’s a name to go with it – I’ll take the request. You can also get updates by emailing me and asking me to add you to list, or by joining the update group tsunamiupdates@yahoogroups.com . Also, creating an LJ account is free and easy, and you will get updates much more quickly. Just go to www.livejournal.com and sign up – then add the community writersfunk to your watch list. Adding the user _shinchansgirl_ will give you updates on me, and why I’m behind, but not fics.

QUESTIONS/COMMENTS:

Leave a comment on any LJ post, review any fic, email me, or find me on AIM with any questions/comments about this. I will also check the forums periodically to see if anything is posted there. If I do not respond to you, try again – chances are that I missed the first one, for some reason.

Thanks for your time and patience dealing with me, and how erratic I’ve become since Christmas break.

Due to the concerns of a reviewer, I feel that this is now necessary. This...isn't something that I like to do, it's a topic I don't even think should be necessary, but it is.

FLAMING ON MY BEHALF:

This will NOT be tolerated. Period. If any reviewer/requestor recieves a flame on my behalf, please direct me to the review in question. I will, if I feel it is truly deterimental and on my behalf, and not simply a relection of the reviewer's feelings, cut them from requesting for the funk.

Should this action become a repetitive action - used and condoned by several members of ff.net - the funk will stop. Entirely. Period.

No exceptions.

Should the funk stop, all of my fanfiction will be removed from ff.net, and older stories will be accessed only through livejournal. Stories I feel like continuing will be - the rest won't.

This INCLUDES "Follow Me Into Shadow" and it's sequel "Shadow". I mean it when I say "no exceptions" - all fiction will be dropped.

I am perfectly capable of fighting my own wars, I do not need others to fight them for me.
