well besides the fact that Amy is 13 and cunningham is 21...just don't think aboiut the age. lol. i don't like the paring cunnigham x takeshi though. i hate it when they make cunningham and/or takeshi look gay. cuz their not. but oh well...

Actually, I think the gap in age would be a rather big deal for Amy and Cunningham, though if they were in a future fic, it wouldn't matter so much. Age differences generally matter less the older the people involved are. I suppose it could work, but it would be difficult to pair them up and still keep them in character.

As for Takeshi and Cunningham not being gay... I'll agree that Takeshi certainly like girls, but there is such a thing as bisexuality. And as far as I've seen, Cunningham hasn't shown a preference either way.

Personally, I don't really like Cunningham/Amy or Cunningham/Takeshi... but that's just my opinion.

yeah the age difference does matter a lot to me too. but even so i dislike (hate is such a strong word) it when people make stories like that. (gay/ales) ...makes me shiver...o_O

I just can't get the image out of my head of Amy being like 10 in the origional miniseries. It's just creepy, talking about this kinda stuff with her.

P.S. Liz/River is an interesting idea, which I might try.

Idk maybe you have to be more openminded to like them, but I'm definitely an AmyxCunningham shipper. TakeshixCunningham just ticks me off because it's blatant that Takeshi and Fantine are together. I mean you could argue that TxC could happen after the series 'cause some crazy fallout between TxF happened and the two bishounen pilots realize their undying affection for each other in their mutual dramatic struggle to become IG1 pilots... I'm sorry, random yaoi pairings for the sake of yaoi just annoys me XD

I guess with such a short series you could really take it anywhere you wanted to, but then trying to inject romance into something that had a pretty limited supply to begin with always begs for debate :D! So, to each his own with relish ^^/)

Ya know, I would've thought Takeshi/River would be the most popular yaoi pairing. River and Takeshi just seem like they'd be more interesting together than Takeshi and Cunningham, plus there isn't such a huge age gap.

I get the feeling that the only reason Takeshi/Cunningham is so popular is because they're both OMG HOTT!1!! River's hot too....

And yerss, I'd love to see some Liz/River out there. My second favorite pairing(I'm a sucker for Liz and Takeshi.)

Not that I'm knocking it, but just curious, what's the pull with Takeshi/Liz? I only ask 'cause a lot of people seem to like it. Watching the series, Liz didn't strike me as an overtly romantically inclined character. I mean, there's nothing indicating Cunningham/Amy either, they just are aesthetically and chemically compatible in my opinion. So that is the question then: Why does everyone like TakeshixLiz? Takeshi clearly likes Fantine so what is the fascination with pairing him with Liz? Or does everyone just hate Fantine? XD

Lol I think that might be true! But during the episode when Fantine and Takeshi were on a date, Liz followed them the entire time. And there are hints that there's going to be something more with Liz and Takeshi. But they're just hints. Remember there are more seasons to come, so I guess their relationship should be more clear on the next season.

As for Amy/Cun, I have to agree with you when you say their asethetically and chemically compatible. Though in the series they'll never have any relationship besides rivals or somewhat friends. Remember this is Cartoon Network. They'll never write it cause of the age difference and how a lot of adults don't want their children to watch things like that. But I really do think that if Cunningham was younger in the series he and Amy would be the most obvious pairing. But that's just my opinion.

True True. I think Liz and Takeshi probably have a shot in the series; not a BIG one because the romantic trials of the characters aren't the focus of IGPX (sadly XD;;) I think for now it's probably going to stay Takeshi/Fantine, but anything is possible!

Whoever suggested River/Liz, now that's possible. I'd actually be more interested to see if THAT went anywhere.

And as for all us Amy/Cunningham fans, lets just hope that they meet and get friendly in season 2 XD Hopefully sir Hangra (or however you spell his name) will take a vacation and leave the poor guys alone XD

like, cunningham is a funky name. ^_^ in the japanese version his name was Alex Cunningham. And in the english version his name is Cunningham Hume. cunningham, cunningham,..if you say it really fast non stop i think you'll start saying cutting ham...lol

lol! I never knew that. I just thought that Takeshi was using his last name because he has less seniority than him. But Cunningham is a last name and not a first. That's the first time I ever seen it being used as a first name.

Word, I didn't know that either! I was just calling him Alex Cunningham cause that's what his name is in all the stats and on Wikipedia (I give half the credit in my fic to Wikipedia for telling me stuff XD)

...so I suppose if I'm going by Alex Cunningham, I should probably leave Himawari's name because technically I'm using the Japanese names? XD Idk. Either way, I'm sticking with Alex, cause what kind of first name is Cunningham?

And besides... it's CUTE when Amy calls him Alex XP!

Actually, I think Paranoidamoeba is right. It is a big gap in age difference. And the gay stuff has to stop with Takashi and Cunningham. Why not make stories of Cunningham and OC's? I don't see any Cunningham and OC Stories out there...

Um personally, I don't understand why people like CunninghamxAmy...they don't even talk, and I don't think hitting on little girls is Cunningham's thing. But hey, if somebody shows me why, then I might believe it, you never know.

I love CunninghamxTakeshi! What really makes me mad is those TakeshixLiz people who say that CunninghamxTakeshi is just because they're hot, and they don't seem gay. Hellooooo, have you not been paying attention to Cunningham's blatantly obvious stalking Takeshi? The hug? The things he says to him??? It's obvious!

Though Takeshi is straight that's for sure, but still, it has just as much of a possibility as LizxTakeshi or whatever you come up with so stop bashing yaoi, just for the sake of bashing yaoi, homophobes.

TakeshixFauntine was cute while it lasted, but hopefully Takeshi will stay single for the rest of the series and keep getting little interactions with other characters.

And I wasn't pointing you out in particular, I was just saying how frustrating it is that LizXTakeshi is all fine and dandy with everyone but you get yaoi and it's like "Ewwww, those yaoi fangirls!! All they want it pointless yaoi because they're both good-looking!" Which is both not true and reversable for fans of other pairings too.

It comes down to what you like personally because IGPX is only so long and apparently there's hintings for EVERY pairing since everyone seems to think there are obvious signs indicating all the popular couples (LizxTakeshi, TakeshixCunningham for example).

You just support and root for what you like and debase what morally (I mean that facetiously, not like "GAY=WRONG"/"STRAIGHT=WRONG") or just plain offends you XD

Me personally, I couldn't give you a damn hint for CunninghamxAmy in the whole show (OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT THEY STAND ADJACENT IN THE ENDING SEQUENCE XDDDD), but who cares? It would be cute, and it's not uh... I don't have a good word, so I'm going to say it's not a no-brainer.

Who cares though? XD It's IGPX and everyone can like what they like and complain about what they don't. It's all opinion ;D

I think the same thing cunningham is like almost 10 yrs older than amy and she just seems unexperienced.some people seem to love making guys seem gay.it sucks but it's their opinion.
