ChibirobotTopic: Liz and Amy? I figure after episode 16, this atleast deserves a topic.I hope no one has a problem with that. |

SunflowersStarthey were CENTIMETERS away. lol. I doubt they'll get together...they are just like big sister and little sister more than lesbian lovers. My arms would blow off if they did get together. O_O |

ImmiWell heck, even sisters don't get that close.... and sisters don't tend to hold each other's faces in their hands.... as far as I know. And did you see the shocked look on Amy's face when Liz leaned forward? I don't know... something about that scene just didn't strike me as sisterly. I'm one of the persons who thinks that thinks that if not for Luca, something would've happened.Though if the rest of the season/series doesn't cover them together, I doubt I would be broken-hearted.... completely, anyways ;) |

ChibirobotI've seen some discussions of this episode were they blow off the scene between Liz and Amy as sisterly and then go on to say that Liz has a crush on Takeshi. Sure, Liz makes a larger deal about saying Amy is like a younger sister to her but she also says that everyone in Team Satomi is like family to her. Sorry folks that excuse can't only go one way.And I think the reason why people don't want there to be romance there is because they see it as perverted (or taht it undermines a personal preferece of course). I mean it is a robot anime, and guys watch robot anime more often then girls and guys response to lesbians is often perverted. But I don't think this is something perverted, I mean it could easily be made that way, but its just... Sweet, y'know? |

unifilarI certainly don't blow it off. But I don't know what to do with it, either, because Toonami obviously isn't going to have lesbians on it. I swear my heart stopped when Liz took Amy in her hands. I already could see the inevitible kiss I was sure would follow. But when it didn't, I could watch in agape wonder as the slash-riddled scene unrolled before me. I was shocked nearly motionless. NO ONE in their right minds could've seen that scene and thought it didn't have the /slightest/ bit of provocativeness in it. Don't get me wrong- if the Liz/Amy pairing did turn out to be canon, I wouldn't protest the show or do anything homophobic. I'm slash-friendly. It'd just surprise me indefinitely. The Liz/Amy scene itself was such a bold move. In fact, I was waiting for Liz/Amy fanart/fanfics to pop up when I saw the scene. |

ChibirobotI Did a Liz-Amy fanfic after that first "sisterly" scene in season 1. I think another one popped up more recently, but it disappeared. In fact the only reason I wrote the first one was to inspire more people to write Liz-Amy fanfiction because I prefer myself as a reader to a writer. I mean, would would-be writers be intimidated by a het and guy-guy oriented anime section? Mine got pretty positive reviews... Maybe I just don't understand at all then. I've actually been working on a second fic (very much NOT a sequal to my other one) that's more relistic and less fluffy. Which means a more-or-less straight Liz trying her best to be a big sister to Amy, but I don't want to give it all away. | #6 Jul 03rd 2006, 12:56pm

Tsuki of the RoselightI was thinking about making a Liz-Amy pairing fic since they're my 2nd favortie pairing in all of IGPX! It's so cute! In fact i only like one het. pairing in the whole IGPX fandom and that's Jess/Mark but that's getting off-topic...Besides they seem to even each other out...That's why i think they're cute! | #7 Aug 05th 2006, 12:22pm

ChibirobotI hope you do it.Its true they really do even each other out. Which makes it really lame that the show has been pushing Liz and Takeshi together. Which is the couple most likely to instantly kill each other. Its a freaking crime. Of course its not like I can play innocent after starting a story that involves Liz and Takeshi having a kid. But what can I say? I'm a weak person... and it was fun to write :P |
